ALL Casino companies are vary desperate right now, not just CET, and with good reason. They are fighting for their survival and to provide their employees a paycheck.

MGM is closing multiple Buffets & Restearaunts and will probably be laying off employee's in the next few days. Macauu has been closed for multiple weeks now. Many companies and universities placing a travel ban on students & employee's. It's not good nor is it a joking matter as many families will be put in serious financial trouble as a result of the current situation.

I can confirm beyond any reasonable doubt that room prices tanked big time for next week. Somewhere around d Thanksgiving when Ballys was claiming my suite was $650 a night I searched the calendar to see if they actually ever charged that much, and next week was one of only 3 times in 2020 I could find that rate, and the cheap rooms were 250 to 400 bucks because its spring break. I had a few comps but only the bad ones.

Fast forward to now, I'm supposed to be departing on a cruise Monday, but wanted to book a backup plan in case that doesnt happen. Was able to book the whole week between Cosmopolitan and Caesar's Palace for a total cost of $0. I had to call Caesar's to because of a web site issue and the lady asked if I wanted her to go ahead and book a forum classic room. I said hell no I have way better on my calendar and was trying to book an Octavius room when the site crashed on me. Her response was "Ok sir based on your play, we can provide that complimentary. In fact, based on your play we can provide just about any room you want, would you like a different room sir?" And my stay there includes Friday night lol

Weekend comps starting to show up in March and April. But non comped hotels (Caesars, Cromwell, NOBU) staying that way.

Checking mainly out of curiosity. At this point im betting I'll have a caesars comp for my nights right around the time i decide to pull the pin and cancel.

Edit: just checked again, and caesars still not comped but $70 (min rate i get there any day) EVERY DAY from now until end of april.

    Flamingo comped all those days

You just got me curious. When I booked Caesar's Palace the other night it was oddly one of the few properties showing me comp all next week including the weekend. Now it looks like this. Nobu is the only one that isnt free the entire month and a half on the calendar except Cromwell, which charges 50 to 60 bucks for 2 specific friday and Saturday nights.

Also, I've never been on the "show up, get a free cruise" list ... until this morning. This popped up as a new offer this morning and all I can do is laugh. People will be beating down the doors for this one right now, I'm certain! lol

I'm in the same situation. Still debating if I want to make the trip from Ohio next weekend.

These executive orders that different governors of states are issuing banning gatherings of x amount of people could likely be extended to , God forbid, casinos. So consider the possibility of such actions when planning trips or visits to casinos. I was at my local casino yesterday and saw a lady step off the elevator wearing a 3M type mask and wearing rubber gloves. I wondered whether she was being cautious or whether she had recently robbed a bank.

I guess I'll play it by ear and see what happens by Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

I booked Bally’s for next week a few days ago. I originally wanted the stay at Paris, but not for close to double the price. I just rebooked with Paris for a few bucks extra. I’m going solo, but when I add the wife’s TR number every hotel is reasonable except Nobu. What I mean is 5 of 7 nights comped. Only paying Friday & Saturday night plus resort fee. And my wife is a much lower roller then I am. I play $1-2 a spin, she plays the minimum lines, I credit per line.

Because of life I haven't been to vegas in 2 years and my history with Mlife has been as a low roller. I logged in just for fun to see if there is anything there, and at Aria I'm showing 2 comped nights, any day in March (weekends included) +$50 resort credit. If I add a 3rd night it's $54 any day. Resort fee's are still a thing but in the past I had maybe some reduced rates or maybe a comped night or two at Park MGM or Exacl/Luxor, but Aria.. wow. They are reaaaally desperate. I'm also showing 80% of April comped at Aria, though only one weekend, May is 80% comped with $75-$150 weekend rooms, June is the same thing but only 65-70% comped.

I've got reservations at Park MGM in June, 3 nights including Fri-Sat for like $150 + resort fee's, but with $40 FP and $50 food credit. I may have to keep my eyes open for a property upgrade.. Of course the date I have booked in Park MGM are practically the only week that isn't comped. Not sure if I have to cancel my reservations and see if something else comes up..

if you already have a reservation their system won't show a comp available for that date

I wouldn't panic about that quite yet. :) Gov. Sisolak gave a presser yesterday where he talked about all kinds of emergency measures. He specifically said he's not considering closing the LV Strip at this point. That would be a huge blow to the Nevada economy, so I would assume it's a measure of last resort.

I had to laugh at the email offer I just got below:

Stay with your choice of three complimentary midweek nights at The LINQ Hotel + Experience, Flamingo, Bally's, Harrah's or Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Or, choose two midweek nights at Caesars Palace for special rate of $77/night or two midweek nights at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino or Paris for special rate of $37/night.

I have been getting Caesars comped for five nights (including weekends with FP) for a few years now. Now, in the current economic climate, they make this great offer (insert sarcasm)!

In response to the title of this thread, I would stay CET is no more desperate than any of the other major casinos on the Strip. They are all trying to sustain some level of business.

    Gotta win this trip.

While I normally get comped rooms at 1/2 the places 7 days a week (and most of the others Sun-TH), I just checked now and with the exception of Nobu, I'm comped everywhere everyday now throughout the calendar year lol.

I received free room offer for March and April today with no resort fees in Connecticut and they never give rooms away to a table player like me. They won't even feed me. LOL
