They actually have a decent set of videos to watch, more specifically about their travels in Mexico. Heck 75 a day, more like 75 as I pass the first slot on the way to get brekkie.
I stopped after the bubble craps drink plan. What is the cost savings ..to get a free drink with a plan where you can't win and might lose a little? Is it worth it? How much fun is that really?
As a heavy planner who tends to cost things out, I do admire their planning methodology and how meticulously they track things. Though I can't help but dislike how they're abusing the whole comp drink thing by doing things like having one person bet the pass line and the other bet the don't pass line on bubble craps. Sure, it's within the boundaries of the "terms" for comped drinks, but it goes against the spirit of the practice... and this type of thing is exactly what encourages the casino operators to cut back on comped drinks in one way or another. I'm also amazed that they openly encourage people to use a VPN to circumvent the location rules on MyVegas, and try to get people to sign up for a VPN for that purpose using their affiliate link. That would definitely be grounds for PlayStudios to cancel their accounts, and possibly all kinds of other trouble from either PlayStudios or MGM. I'm all for clever/creative workarounds, but I think that was pretty poorly thought out on their part. I've seen a few of their videos and again, while I like the skill/thinking, I think they take the "mooch" thing a little bit too far.
It is a less than transparent video. Not everybody gets free show tickets because of having Diamond Status which factors into their cheap day in Vegas so throw a couple hundred on that for people that have to pay for tickets.
In all fairness they do disclose that later on, that they show people how to get diamond status for next to nothing. So it does level the playing field a bit.
House still wins the same amount on average. They shouldn't really care. If they care enough about comp drink abuse, they could add a metering system to their floor slots. Casinos generally abhor variance on their end anyway. But playing that way is definitely boring as you'll never end ahead. But it's still less than paying retail for drinks.
At first I didn’t think it would be that enjoyable - maybe a day doing it but it was actually pretty cool. I probably wouldn’t do $75 a day but there are a good couple tricks in there
Moreover they promote the behavior that’s ultimately resulted in drink lights, parking fees and the other nickel and diming. People don’t come to Vegas to gamble and have fun. They come to mooch.
This is a tricky one but I agree very much however it isn't black or white. I don't look down or promote this for the fact that if something can be taken advantage of then people always will. I won't ever blame people who are frugal, thrifty, or even cheap. Especially if your income isn't the best. I don't mind remedies such as the green lights at VP bars since most of us who do it right earn them anyways. However growing up poor I can tell you that most people penny pinching find this attractive. I repeat I am neutral on this situation. I do think that remedies for exploits will happen (greenlight vp bartop) and won't hurt us who play for our drinks.
Tangerine Travels - these two are very special. Look up her boob implant saga. Of course her complications could have nothing to do with where she got them done. But essential oils will cure anything. I can't stand the two.
I think that if at a live craps table two players came up and said “we’re just going to flat bet the table minimum against each other for the free drinks”, they wouldn’t exactly be welcomed... and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the pit boss told the CW not to come by at all or not to serve them. You’re correct that the house edge still guarantees a long-term gaming win for the casino (not factoring the cost of the drinks), but I feel like placing “wash” bets is far less likely to result in a profit for the casino compared to regular betting habits, where a player can go on tilt and end up busting out. It’s the same reason why casinos usually won’t allow matchplays to be played against each other on pass/don’t, red/black, or player/banker bets, isn’t it?
