I used to like the Boars Head bar at MSS until they put in those buffalo machines with VP and an after thought. Don't like their version of VP games or the fonts.

I like the atmosphere there and the scratch off tickets you get when you get a 4 of a kind.

Always Vue Bar. Second would be any bar tops at 4Qs. Winning also impacts my favorite at the time.

Has to be the VUE bar at the D. Three progressives on 25 cent Bonus Poker that often goes positive. Always a challenge to hit the progressive on the 4ok before someone beats you to it!

Furnace Bar at DTG had 10/6 DDB last time I was there at the $.25/$.50/$1 levels. I enjoyed it tremendously.

They also had progressive jackpots for the $.25 level. Royal flush hit $1600+ a few times.

Boar's Head is the only one we frequent, so I guess it's our favorite. 9-6 JOB, DDB with a progressive (not on all machines), and a bartending staff that is second to none. We get there once or twice a year and Oleg always remembers what we want to drink - even to the extra olives in my wife's bloody mary. Add the scratch cards and MSS is our downtown place to be. (The rooms do need some refurbishing, but it's still our home base.)

Nope. 9/6 for 50c+. 8/5 with progressives for quarters.

That experiment was doomed from day 1, and I knew it. I had fun playing the games in Sept. though.

Toss up between Boars Head and the Vue Bar. If I just want to enjoy some gambling in a nice atmosphere with great bartenders it would be Boars Head. When I want to get serious about my video poker play I go to the Vue Bar.

New here! Can anyone confirm NSU or Full Pay at El Cortez for both Ike’s Bar and the Frank Sinatra type lounge across from Siegel’s? Also amateur question, but is this site accurate for strategy play for a NSU game? https://www.gamblingonline.com/video-poker/strategy/deuces-wild/ Trying to get better with my play and this link contradicts an app for certain moves including holding a 10 J which I thought was questionable with no deuce. Q 10 or Q J I thought we’re the only two suited cards you hold without a deuce. Help!

I like the Chicago brewing in four queens, Vue Bar, and boars head. Having said that on my last trip I spent one session at chicago brew and Vue bar and two sessions at Boars head and the rest of the time on the floor on a multi-line nickel machine at MSS.

    Welcome to the forum!

I don't think they have either game. Ike's bar got downgraded last year.

The best Deuces bartops I am aware of downtown are "Airport Deuces" (98.91%) at 4 queens and plaza. QQQQ has a royal progressive as well.

As for the strategy you linked. That is totally inaccurate for NSUD or Airport (those two are fairly close to each other).

    Strategies:

Full Pay: (Unless you go to play it at Sam's Town, which is the only place left in town, never use this)

    https://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/strategy/deuces-wild/full-pay/optimal/

    NSUD: https://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/strategy/deuces-wild/not-so-ugly-ducks/

    Airport:
    https://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/strategy/a-1-b-44-c-1-d-0-d-1-d-2-d-3-d-4-d-4-d-9-d-15-d-25-d-200-d-800/

Also JT suited is stronger than QJ or QT suited in Deuces. More straight and straight flush possibilites.

    What's the app you're using?

Tringlomane, I have been meaning to ask you this in the Video Poker Bar top Sticky Thread in the Casino Games section but seeing you discussing strategy here, I may as well jump in here...

I cannot find a strategy for Deuces and Joker Wild at Wizards of Odds (on bar tops at The Plaza). I cannot find any strategies for 53 card deck with 5 wild cards for that matter.

Do you know where i can find one or develop one?

And thanks for all you have done for me in the Bar Top Sticky Thread!
