Most any of the Bellagio craps dealers. Rarely do they make a mistake. Vince is a good one and friendly. I've never had a bad one except for poor ole Gary. I was on his table when he was learning..mighta been his 1st time. A couple years later he had improved a little. Last time I went..a couple of years ago, he had gotten a lot better. Honestly, I was surprised to see him stick it out and improve. Learned to deal late in life.

One old lady dealing black jack was hilarious.
We laughed as she took all my money..

There are a few great craps dealer or rather stick people.
The first was a pregnant girl at Golden Gate. She was great and brought me good luck. Returned later that day and requested she be my stick person again but the pit boss wouldn't allow it.
The second was a stick girl at PH. She was great. Lots of fist bumping. She said no to chest bumps but it was still an awesome session.
The third was a stick guy at Excalibur. We were having a great time. It was like playing craps with a buddy.

having a bad dealer really sucks the life and fun out of a game. so having a good dealer is a breath of fresh air (ignoring all the cigarette smoke).

unfortunately, sitting at a table because i recognize the dealer rarely ever brings me any extra luck. just have to play and have fun

OK...all of my fellow 'old-timers'... there was a blackjack dealer at the Mirage back in the 90s/early 2000s... he always seemed to be dealing the 6-deck shoe over by the pit near the restroom close to the sports book...it was a $15 table, 3:2 S17, late-surrender permitted...great table!
Anyway, this guy was in his late 30s/early 40s then, from Brooklyn and had the cliche accent & phrases...funny as hell... he would give me shit every single time I surrendered... I always called him "Brooklyn", but maybe one of you degenerates actually remembers his name... 'Frank', maybe?

He's not a favorite, but he has a memorable look.

Craps dealer at Sam's Town who looks like a poor man's Christopher Walken.

There was an older lady at the Ballagio pai gow poker tables some years ago with long blonde curls. Never again I saw a dealer counting cards that fast. It was very entertaining. Next week on visit again and I will for sure have a look whether this lady is still on duty :)

There was a craps dealer named Frank at Aladdin in 2002 that sounds like the person you described.

    The timing would be right!
...and from my memories of the guy, he would be perfect at a crap table!

There are those select few dealers who truly bring an element of entertainment to the game, completely separate from the game itself.
These are the very people who qualify for "favorite dealer" status, and they are the very people who get the most tips from me (& probably from others as well).

Don't know their names, but the 4 am - Noon weekend craps crew at PH are great. They love the game, like ribbing customers, and are gamblers like we are.

Are you by chance talking about a guy in his mid 50's with a greying goate that does magic tirps with the chips? If so that's also my favorite. He always gives me crap for not placing the 9 every time it hits. He likes to remind me what I'd have it pressed up to.

I'm not a big gambler and probably haven't interacted with nearly as many dealers as many forum members have. Mosy seem to be comatose, expressionless and robotic. I assumed the reason for this was it could be a liability if they concentrate on conversation or entertainment.

So do they have any choice?

@Mrs Bourbon and I spend a lot of time at the Golden Gate, and we think the dancing dealers are all great! We have played a lot with Ariana, who deals pretty much all the pit games like a machine gun.

We had an amazing time playing 3 card poker with Susie at the Park MGM on our last trip, she was a lot of fun and told us she has been working there since early Monte Carlo days!

Mrs. Bourbon and I took a short weekend trip a few years back to the SLS and played blackjack with one of the funniest dealers we have ever had. I had quite a few drinks, and he was making fun of me (in a fun way I could go along with, I know I get ridiculous when I mix drinking and gambling!) and we were both making fun of a lot of “overused gambling phrases” that blackjack players often say. He had longer hair, but I never caught his name, and haven’t been back recently to see if he still works at the Sahara.

They do. A lot of it comes down to dealing with their specific customer base. Without passing judgment either way, lots of players these days just want the dealers to deal the cards, and get annoyed by dealers who are interactive. It's related to why the electronic games are so popular. To each his/her own, but that's not my style.

My favorite crews are at Aria. I actually hang out with some of the blackjack dealers and craps pit bosses off the clock. I can't say they've never made mistakes, but they're good enough that if a craps dealer there tells me, "actually, you owe me that $10 back", I take them at their word and toss back the chips. And on the flip side, if I think they shorted me, I say something and they pay it without thinking twice. Just good people all around.

Marilyn, a Blackjack dealer at Cosmo.
I hadn’t gambled there previously and the wife and I stopped in. I was at a $50 table getting killed and moved to Marilyn’s table to slow the bleeding. She was great to banter with, and was telling me how to bet. We are having so much fun, my wife comes to sit and watch. I have a fair understanding of basic strategy but she had me pressed up to $400, then had to split. My wife is dying with the $800 out there, I win both and Marilyn just colors me up immediately.
Great conversation, funny lady and had me leave while I was up.

My local can be a bit fussy about the dealers keeping their chip racks organized. I was on a Crazy 4 Poker table with my favorite dealer when a pit critter told to to straighten her rack. So she starts adjusting her bra.:D

+1 for Benny. He was still dealing right before the shutdown. He is Employee no. 3 in Caesars, if I am not mistaken. He appears in the movie "War Dogs" with Bradley Cooper, Jonah Hill, and I think he was in the TV show "The Profit."

My other faves: Krystal in the am, Michelle after noon at Caesars and Billiana at Cromwell.

There are certain casinos that almost always have pleasant and skilled dealers. Wyn-Core and Cromwell come to mind. There are a lot of gruff dealers in the rest of the Caesars and MGM groups, so it is more hit-or-miss. Cosmo dealers are friendly, but many are awkward, slow and less experienced. Venetian dealers are generally skilled, but not real personable in my experience.

Sat at MSS BJ once with three friends, one of which was completely new to pitch BJ,
so he would do everything wrong with the signals, play out of turn, touch cards with both hands, etc.
Our very personable, funny, and charismatic dealer progressed from joking verbal abuse, to slapping his hand with hers, to using the limit sign strip, then threatening him with the heavy end of the acrylic drop slot pusher (is there a name for that thing?),
It was all so hilarious, we kept playing, and mostly losing.

To this day when I walk by her table, she yells, "hey, where are your friends".
None of them will ever forget that experience.

Also at MSS, I've shouted them out before, Kevin and Grant, two of the best craps dealers I have ever seen. the running joke is whichever table they are on is the "main game"
