can you still book a buffet and cancel it for a full refund without fee? I’m saving gems for another stay but already have an upcoming stay first and with only 12 days left of level 1 I’m thinking I should maybe book a buffet now incase the room rates go sky high or the vip rules change even more and make my gems worthless. I’d rather have the buffet and then if everything is still good maybe cancel it for a refund (I already have a couple of buffets booked on another account for the same stay). Also I’m thinking they may well put the buffet price up in the next update too.

You get refunded the 1200 gems for buffet as long as you cancel the day before. No same day cancellations and no refunds for missed reservations.

Is there any reason to book a buffet until that day? As long as you do it by 4:00 pm you can do it for that day right?

    YES

    (1) If you reach the 25K gem cap, and want to still be able to earn more gems, and
    (2) Wynn Slots could arbitrarily decide that they want to lock out buffet redemption's to VIP Level 7 (500,000 crowns or something) on some random day, but they are very likely to still honor redemption's booked prior.

This is absolutely incorrect. You DO get a full refund of the gems as long as cancel at least one day before the booked Wynn buffet.
