I'm thinking of hitting every video poker bar at CET properties minus Rio in a couple of days and grabbing a drink and playing $20-$40 at each bar. Are there any bars that don't comp drinks? The only ones that come to mind are the ones that aren't operated by CET such as the one at Toby Keiths or that tiny one right by the entrance at Harrahs. That Blue Moon bar at PHO looks cool as do a few others I've never played at so I thought why not.

Which will give out first - your bankroll or your liver?

I'll report back on that. My money is on my bankroll.

Edit: Maybe I misjudged just how many bartops there were. I usually play at the same ones. Maybe I should split this into a two day endeavor to save both my liver and bankroll.

I think a vast majority do.

Those two you mentioned might be the only ones that don't really.

Good luck and please post your results - I think the Flamingo has around 6 not counting margaritaville.

Also "Bird Bar" in the former margaritaville casino.

Flamingo does have a fuckton of bars. Ive only played at Bugsy's, Bird, and that bar in the lobby by the pool entrance (former Sin City Brew Co.).

I never even noticed Bird Bar had video poker machines.

Yeah, like 7. They are a bit tough to get on during peak hours.

They used to have another video poker bar by the entrance/exit on the way to Cromwell. They removed it. I guess they figured they had enough bars.

Doing a quick count made me realize there are a lot more bars than I realized. 4 at Harrahs, 4 at Linq/Osheas, 6 at Flamingo, 2 at Cromwell, 3? at Ballys, 4 at Paris, 3? at Pho, and 6 not including the Cigar bar at Caesars.

    Oof.

edit: 5 at Harrahs with dueling pianos.

The Blue Moon bar definitely comps drinks. I played there over Thanksgiving. Good luck and drink a Pedialite!

The bartender at circle bar between Bacchanal and Pronto @ Caesars last time told me I had to buy in for 100$ for free drink, however all the other bars in Caesars did not so wondering if it's this one bartender.

Also anyone have experience with the VP bartop at the Montecristo Cigar Bar at Caesars? Do they comp there for VP? Would love a place that comps extensive whiskey list for Diamonds.

Montecristo will generally if you're playing consistently, or if you know Brandon and tip well. Not sure how many of the nice whiskers they'll comp but all the baseline drinks the other bars comp they will I can confirm.

ive played there before and that’s definitely not standard. They’ve waited until I played 5 hands or so which I found odd for a 7 stars before taking my drink order but the $100 is definitely not standard.

Thanks everyone. Landing shortly so I’ll update on how this goes. I may turn this into a live trip report but I’ve never done one and I tend to overdo it on the booze in Vegas so who knows if I can keep up.

Thanks I appreciate the advice, I usually play at a pace where the bartender will continue to comp me on a period that I'm playing slow since I turn it up a notch shortly after. Also always been told by bartender being Diamond helps.

Did they comp you cocktails from the drink menu last time you went? I'm hoping to get some different scotches that usually aren't at the other vp bars. Harrah's HL room has been the best for me in regards to comping mid range scotches in the past (Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, JW Black, Buchanan, etc...)

Yes so at least you can confirm that the bar is an outlier from other CET vp bartops. I remember not liking the tone in regards to their comp system at that bar so I left. Didn't mind buying in high just wanted a quick drink and some fast play hands on a 50$ buy in at that time. Must not be their fault and just whoever is in charge of that area.
