So if I'm understanding the charts Diamond and Seven * will get anything on the lists comped? The coupons would just be taken if you order something not on the list when playing or if not playing?

FWIW Caesar's is still independent of Eldorado and would technically be making this change of its own volition.

@NewOrleansSlimm This is actually a rather helpful list, however I am not sure that it's actually new. I think this is simply what's programmed into the on screen ordering system that exists in New Orleans and in Atlantic City. In AC when you order on demand on the slot and VP machines status matters. Also in AC there are no restrictions on drinks for Diamond and Seven Star. My wife is gold, and if she puts her card in the machine her options look exactly like this, except the up charge was lower. They were either 1,2, or 3 dollars depending. My brother and Sister-in-Law are platinum and their screen has more free options but even some of the items under your platinum list are not free in for him in AC. I am Diamond and all the items on my screen including red bull and fiji are free.

I find it surprising that Harrah's NO will take a drink from you while playing, especially because Gold has no drinks free to them, but your list shows multiple things free for Gold so I am unclear how they will differentiate. I would be interested to know how they are collecting payment, who they are charging.

The way I read your list is a gold member playing can order a coor's lite draft, whiskey or vodka for free. If Gold wants Titos they would be charged 4 dollars and 5$ for Grey Goose, if there was previously no limit on comped drinks, how many will gold get now, and what's the price for them?

Also in AC the waitresses have lists like this folded on their trays and show them to people ordering all the time. They also pull it out when buzzed for service to order something not on the machine. I ordered Vodka and Sugar Free Redbull but was originally just ordering them separately a vodka rocks and then a sugar free redbull and alternating. When I asked for that specific drink a waitress actually pulled out a packet like that to confirm both were available to me,

remember I was drinking last night so things dont exactly come out clearly...im not saying other properties are going to go to the dumb drink limit system, thats new orleansd own No Competition, we can do what we want system, im saying they are going to go to the you may get this drink or you may get charged system...never said it was a good idea but look at all the dumbass ideas that bean counters continue to make...while I dont order drinks from slots or the tables, If I dont see the bartender make it, I dont want it...I hope it blows up in their face

yes, gold has had limits for a few years on slots and gold/plat some limits on tables....this list was just given to the bartenders recently so its pretty up to date

Ill try to get a better explanation of exctly how they are doing it tonight

I'm not a beer guy at all, but I was under the impression that draft beer is superior to bottle beer... at least, that's what I've inferred from my beer drinking friends over the years... so it's seems odd that you need a higher tier to get bottle beer.

Anyway, if Vegas starts charging for drinks, I'll just stock up my hotel room with booze from the store and pre-game before hitting the tables.

Tap beer is cheaper for the casino so that’s probably why?

Thanks for the clarification. I do not like it but it would probably not affect me much and for all I know is already in place at some casinos (I noted earlier being asked to flash my card for certain liquor at clv at the end of last year - time to mention it was grey goose). That’s erosion but different than everyone being charged (initially or after some number of drinks).

I think if you allow 7* and diamond to flash a card the CWs are going to have leeway - it will be 7*, 7* companion, diamond, military card, people with duplicate cards and people who tip (or who they like or other employees like) that don’t pay. Since I have a card and me and my friends tip I do not think it would affect us as much.

I think the casual gambler gets affected and this becomes more like the light system (or ordering system) on slot machines. That makes it harder to pull people into gambling but others will find their own way around it (doubt you would have to go as far as pregaming like the above poster).

draft beer is better if and only if certain conditions are met. Lines have to be clean and kept clean, temperature has to be kept stable both at storage and in the lines. Unfortunately because of the down time, I would expect the popular lines (service bars etc) are probably not well maintained and the beer probably king of eh. Also draft beer when handled probably has both a higher yield a lower cost per ounce

I'm in Atlantic city now and while I'm a table games player, we played slots (wife and I) last night for a lark with some friends, I got a beer but she did get Titos and soda, she pretty much only drinks Titos and was positive she didn't get well. Now, I can't confirm as I don't know shit about vodka lol, but, it was her first drink of evening so she wasn't drunk so I would presume she was correct. I was drinking beer and they comped both of us while at one machine. AC is tightening, but I doubt the NO restrictions invade AC and Las Vegas, at least for a few years. If that does happen, I'll just stop going. If they want to be cheap and hassle me for a $10 drink when I spend 10k a year, thankfully, there's other options.

This is now my protocol when in Vegas - unless it's a really short trip. I'm usually there for a week-ish so I go buy my preferred libations on day one (in fact, build in a day to go do this). Rent a car, hit Albertsons, Khoury's/Total Wine and More, cannabis dispensaries and get all of the specifics I want or need and a bunch of this issue goes out the window. I also get a package of the 20-24 oz clear, plastic (arena/stadium/bar type) glasses and pour in room, then down to the floor or out to The Strip I go. I can even bring a can or two as spares then repour in some cases. Always have MY preferred flavors and never having to haggle to get it, and I've never been asked or hassled over where I got that clear, plastic glass so long as I'm in tourist (Strip/Fremont) areas. Walk right up to a table, nobody ever asks.

Las Vegas is all about having what I want when I want it and this goes a long way. Sure, I will "supplement" if opportune/necessary, especially when distant from the base resort by buying/obtaining one here/there, but it's only a "sprinkle" of purchases or situations over the week where that happens. If I'm in/around the room I always have one or two to head out with - don't even have to drink in room, I just take it with me. If at shows/events/clubs/gaming sessions far from base, yeah, I rely on the bars/staff. But not much.

I agree with others here that if they do start restricting I'll just start taking more out off my room. The issue will become when they start posting security in front of the casino and stop you from entering with anything. I can't see this EVER happening in LV but I know it happens in Biloxi. Now all the NO talk does concern me of it coming east to Biloxi......
