Nort sure if I missed this elsewhere, but looks like Hilton will be operating the 3500 hotel rooms in Resorts World?

perhaps they're trying to help fill 3,500 rooms via leveraging the Hilton loyalty program? Maybe an admission that filling 3,500 rooms up there as a stand-alone property might be difficult?

Not surprised...as @The Rumor said utilize the loyalty program, and also Resorts World Bimini has Hilton as their hotel operator.

I suspect there's a reason for outsourcing the operation rather than doing it in-house.

Hmmmm ... ... {wheels turning} ... ... Could it be that the entire project will be taken over by Hilton, maybe even rebranded Hilton?

    What could go wrong?

This is coming from my memories of when Caesars Palace contracted Sheraton to manage. An utter disaster. Sheraton had zero understanding of Las Vegas casino hotels. Different than running a hotel in downtown Chicago.

On the other hand, Vegas has convention business and BUSINESS travelers like awards program based on hotel nights.

Folks that are not heavy point builders or hotel loyalists do not understand the value of this. Folks that do not normally get comp rooms are often RABID to stay in the same brand they use for other trips.

    Meanwhile....
The casino folks can focus on running a casino. The hotel can be run by people that live hotels.

The industry has changed a bit since then.

There is also a big difference between an ownership stake and an operating partnership.

This is much more like brand sharing. Hilton gets a feather in its cap in terms of strip hotel offerings, and Resorts World gets travel bookings direct through Hilton website from its loyalty program members.

yeah, the big companies generally own very few hotels. Others do. What they do is license the names in exchange for fees to franchise operators. You get the unified brand standards, loyalty programs, shared website booking, etc. Presumably, Resorts World is acting as a franchise hotel operator here.
