The stuff they make you drink makes me throw up, too. I get what my brother used to call the “twirlies.” You don’t know whether to sit down or bend over. There is no part of the process that I do not find uncomfortable, disruptive, moderately disgusting and potentially dangerous. Coming from a family of surgeons, I may have a different view of general anesthetic. There is no such thing as “routine” if they knock you out.

I don't eat for two days before I have to take the meds / drink. Seems much easier than being full of it, at least everything comes out okay in the end.

Yeah , you probably also have an Executive Host assigned as well whose job it is to make sure that you will come back for more and maybe recommend their service to your family and friends. :poke: (the closest emoji to a colonoscopy that I could find)

I've had more than one my friend. Frequent flier. I think there are several reasons why I've had them; 1 I have a really nice butt (just stating a fact), 2 I have IBS, I had large benign growths removed 3 times that affected certain areas that they wanted some good images of and make sure nothing was anywhere it shouldn't be. I haven't needed one in a long time.

I still stand by the reputation of those buffets. Imperial Palace was mid week lunch buffet and it was pretty boring. Ellis Island is wonderful and I will defend it's honor to the death. Golden Nugget I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner at because we've stayed there several times. Mid week lunch was pretty boring, breakfasts were good, love an omelette station, dinner was OK. Circus Circus buffet was a very pleasant surprise. I think that was mid week dinner. I think it was Italian theme night, guy making pasta, it was good. Riviera buffet was a Friday night seafood night I think. Also very pleasant surprise, nice room, really good service, good food. The table next to us had ordered wine which came in those little bottles and left some unopened which the waitress gave me. Hell yeah I drank them. I haven't had the balls to try Stage Door hot dogs though.

I also ate at Fremont's buffet but there is only so much room in that space. It was very Magnum PI in there and our waiter was a wannabe Magnum with the hair and pornstache. It was mid week lunch, I think? Yeah pretty tame but obviously fine.

I'm glad you made it through it ok. I was one who ended up getting ill from the 'litely' also. I was throwing up the last of it. Then a long car drive to my dr (hour). I was so nauseous and sick on the way home too. I think I'm scheduled again in about 2 years. I'm not putting a countdown timer on my profile for that................

Other than the polyps, haven't heard from them on anything else. I have my follow up visit in 2 weeks so we shall see if there is a problem with any of the polyps.

    Thanks for asking.

But in her report the dr. said she noticed a couple of internal hemorrhoids so I have to ask her about that.

Funny, I was going to throw out the plastic jug but then I thought I could use it to store water in the future (in case of emergencies or natural disasters). But when I saw the jug my stomach turned and I decided to toss the thing.

Oh well, hope I don't have to endure this procedure (ever again, lol!) for another 5 or more years.

Man, what a job, working on a**holes all day, lol. I wouldn't want to do this kind of thing but I guess like that pimple popper lady they get to see all kind of gross things in their line of work.

I hope your results are good. If they are not, the frequency of these tests will increase dramatically.

    Good luck.

As another old fart, am off next week for a test that is close to yours, a cystoscopy. (Close in more ways than one). No prep work for this one, but due to my unlucky history, this will be number 25! Wonder if they have a silver "trophy" for me? But that is another subject for another day. Hoping for good results, so like you, presumably, can plan a return pilgrimage to The Silver State!

Hey, I had a double whammy last time, colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy. They got me from BOTH ends! After going through the prep and laying on the "surgery center" bed to be scoped, I was told they were unwilling to do anything because my EKG scared them. I told them that was normal because I have a pacemaker. No dice- they wanted me to have the procedure in a hospital "just in case." A little upset the doc didn't schedule it that way to begin with since he knew I had a pacer! "We'll try to get you in later today." Bad enough I'm already starving- I might have to go through the prep all over again within a few weeks time. Happily they got to me that late afternoon. But, I missed the Fleetwood Mac concert I had tickets to_Oh, well......

I do hope that yours turned out well!

    This is brilliant.
Even more awful by any standard: colon cancer.
Best non sequitur ever. Or was it? And I did read recently that insurance covers extra colonoscopies for people with nice butts.

Anyway, all the cool people are getting them so maybe I should get with the program.

How did I miss @Courtney description of the prep? I have a weak bladder and I almost had an accident from laughing so hard.
