I need to speak to this, because I vegas regularly solo. Let me just start by saying, yes I'm using Vegas as a verb..so sue me, 2nd, this is totally doable and sometimes more fun.

    1. Get headphones...airpods, buds, whatever, get headphones for your entire trip and get a playlist started. I am constantly in podcast and headphones mode in Vegas, my favorite thing to do is listen to You Can Bet on that and Gambling with an Edge while navigating the long vegas walks.

    2. Get stuff done. Nails, feet, eyelash, massage all the stuff you don't have time for at home. This is the place, not only is it most likely cheaper, but higher quality and very Grouponable. This means startup nails salons and estheticians will relish their love on you in exchange for a decent review.

    3. Drinks at the bar, if you don't want anyone to talk to you..wear your absolute worst clothes and again headphones in. Sometimes, I wear garbage clothes that I would otherwise donate, and leave them in the room and travel back with a bag full of shopping goodies. My favorite shirts: I won it at the Cal, the oversized, manshirt and and a XXL county jail themed sweatshirt that is absolutely horrible, and has a hole in it! I also wear a trucker ballcap. I'm not there to talk to anyone...this is ME time. No one and I mean no one will bother you. Leave those skinny jeans at home though..not a good look for sitting at the bar and avoiding unwanted company. I got hit on by more people wondering around dressed up for my husband than when I went alone dressed like a garbage can.

    4. Dinner...Dinner is awkward going alone, I get it, You go in, they say table for 1 awkwardly...you are like feeling lonely whatever. Don't care. Never ever go to a nice dinner place that is made for couples. That's a hard pass. Instead, I go sit at the bar (see above) or do food delivery. First, I really don't care about dinner when I'm by myself, gambling has usually taken over, and 2nd, I don't want unwanted attention. If you do decide to eat alone, your best bet it to load up and watch an Episode of Netflix while enjoying. I try to curate my Netflix to be Vegas themed while I'm there.

    5. Self Care and Safety. Do not, and I repeat do not get drink too much or get too high outside of your room. That's just a bad move. Getting drunk by yourself means no one is there to take care of you. What's my failsafe? Uber scheduled ride. I don't get drunk to begin with, it takes away from my gambling ability, but I do a scheduled alarm clock that says, You've spent enough time at this casino, go get your rideshare now. Keep a first aid kit handy: icy hot, tylenol, bandaids, etc...Remember, no one can come rescue you..this adventure is all your own.

    6. Enjoy the malls. My husband hates shopping. I spent 10 hours at Fashion Show last time I was there..yes 10 hours with a very short break for lunch. It was after Christmas with giftcards galore.

    7. Going to Women's shows. Let's say you want to go see the male revue, and you are like, I'm by myself. Protip, go to the bar near the male revue and hang out, other females will be there and you can just go sit near them some will even invite you into the group. That's happened to me, and be careful because the group may be too crazy...I almost ended up in a hangover-like situation with one group. If not, hang out near the slot machines before and after the show, they are usually super loose. I won $90 before Thunder down Under. Also, I made some lifelong friends..who were also a little too crazy but that's a story for Vegas after Dark.

Have fun! Get it girl :)

If you enjoy time to yourself, you will love a solo trip. Some people need someone around them or they feel lonely, these people wouldn't like a solo trip. The great thing about a solo trip in Vegas is that the city is going 24/7 so whenever you want people around, they're there. Personally, if I could convince my husband to abandon Vegas I would prefer 100% of my trips to LV be solo...not so in any other destination.

@breanna61 - she started another thread yesterday regarding other solo Vegas travelers 2/16 - 2/20 & then asked about NYC vs Vegas. She might need to just get away.

I have logged approximately 80 Vegas trips.
    80 percent of them solo.
    NO REGRETS!

I am single now, so my next trips will be solo. Even when my GF was alive - she and I would split up for a couple of nights and do "mini'solo trips. She liked to do the spa, have her hair done etc. It was very relaxing for both she and I.

Anyhow - I think Vegas is the best Solo destination you can go to (maybe excluding some cruise). Any hotel in Vegas is solo friendly - to this point I would ask yourself where do YOU want to stay - it is your choice, someplace luxurious, or cheaper ??? it is your trip.

    Personally (not thinking of budget)
    1. Wynn\encore
    2. Cosmo (still nothing better in the summer than sitting on that balcony)
    3. Aria
    4. Mandalay Bay (but I would go for four seasons for the luxury aspect OR Delano)
    5. Palazzo (a little slower, but you are next door to bustling Venetian, the canal, shops, etc)

It is your trip - stay where you want, eat where you want, sleep when you want, gamble when you want....Just think of it this way.........it is You, you do not have to think about anyone else - just do what you feel like doing and Vegas is the perfect place for that. You want great shopping, you want luxurious hotels, you want super fine dining, you want amazing spas, you want to play penny slots or go for the megabucks, you want a white castle slider, you want to see a great show, see ice hockey.....it is all there - just have fun, enjoy every moment you as a human being have a wonder gift to be able to experience all of this....Hey, you can go to Vegas and sit in your room and netflix like crazy - it is up to you.

Here right now....doing exactly what Andrew said above. Although I came in the late hrs of last night after going straight to the airport from work and getting up ystrday at about 4:30 am for my wrkday and trip night, I was ravished this morning after not having a decent meal last night. I got up and got myself together, walked next door to Cosmo and had a lovely counter breakfast there at the Henry. Then hit a table for a little, browsed a store and will continue doing my day as I please.

Rm22, take your time, enjoy your trip. If you feel you want to report in, do it. If not, don't. Either way, do Vegas your way and have a blast!

Thanks so much!! Deciding if ill bus or uber it to whole foods for some items. I tend to go there 1x in each of my trips so I can have snacks/food to keep in my room and grab a meal too. They have good options at the salad and hot bar. Most people maybe don't know or care to go and just eat on the strip. I like the healthiness and options.
