at several casinos playing BJ I've been paid on a push. and pushed (dealer left mt bet on table) when I should have lost. I never say a word but I don't touch my chips till dealer is ready for next hand's bets. I've also pulled my win on a Blackjack and been paid a 2nd time

Was in the navy up in Fallon, nv and we were partying at this little dump called the BirdFarm.

They had a .25 craps table. When you wanted to play the bartenders would just open the table and control the game while still pouring drinks.

Didnt take long to realize that .25 bet just screws everything up so you would just up it to like $3 or $5. That way they could figure the odds easier. These were drunk bartenders dealing keep in mind. Not some trained casino staff.

The guy standing next to me who was some know it all officer had a couple women with him and they wouldnt shut up with the 7 talk. Of course every time they said it a 7 would come out thus screwing everyone there. They were betting big 6/8 like fools.

The dealer could see I was getting pissed having to put up with these people so everytime they hit their 6/8

He would just put the chips in front of me and wink. I just scooped them up and we had a good laugh about it. Not like it amounted to anything but it was the principle of the whole thing.

Not in Vegas, but in the early to mid 80's the Airline I worked for chartered flights to Atlantic City for "High rollers" so I would hitch a ride every 3 or 4 weeks. A lot of the BJ dealers just couldn't count... I got paid on 22 and 23 on a frequent basis. Once it was only 3 cards 10,6,7!

About 10 years ago I went into Aria to play some Pai Gow. Back then I played strictly at Caesars properties so was just playing to by some time before dinner with the Wife. I was playing 50 per hand only. Played for maybe an hour only. After the first 5 minutes I did move seats from one side of the table to the other so my wife could sit also when people got up. Right after I moved another player sat down at my old seat and was betting 1000-5000 per hand. Cant remember if he showed a players card or not. I started getting email offers from aria all the sudden about a month later for 3 free nights and food and beverage. Ended up getting an offer for a sky suite comped. Which at that time I was only a 25-50 per bet bettor and used to staying at Flamingo or Ballys so to have a 1 bedroom suite, with a private check in area, limo service comped for pickup and to take us back to the airport was pretty sweet. My assumption was somehow that guys plays was being rated for me. But all in all, being comped that was a pretty big win.

One time at Foxwoods, I had $50 on the hard six, and it came up soft and the dealers forgot to take it down. Two 3's came up on the next roll and they paid it out.

I always have my hardways working on the comeout. Maybe 10% of the time when a 7 or easy way rolls on comeout they do not take em down. One time they left a $100 hard 6 up after an easy 6 come-out and the player next to me gave me a wink

Haven’t witnessed anything significant but at Cosmo a few years ago there was a green chip in the red chip tray at a $15 BJ table. I was at first base and could see exactly what was going to happen. Anyway, a hand or two later a player who had been flat-betting 3x red $5 chips was paid $35, so an extra $20. Not significant in the grand scheme of things and I said nothing.

Most casinos have the hardways off on the come out unless you call it. If you called it, I hope it hit later!

Yes I call em working. They always have an ON button on one of them. Other than GG which I think they call out working unless called off.

I've read through some of the responses and my favourite has got to be the one about the disgruntled dealer paying $25 on $5 bets at Treasure Island. I've never heard of something like this happening before. I would have loved to be at this table!

Last year, at the baccarat table I was at, the dealer made a mistake by pushing the PLAYER bets when the DRAGON appeared and won on the Banker side (3 cards totaling 7). Everyone bet on the PLAYER side that round and no one said a thing and we all took our bets back as soon as the dealer gathered up of all of the cards. It was glorious. We easily had a total of around $3000 or more of bets on that "push" from all the players.

My first ever Vegas trip, one of the afternoons we sat down for some friendly 3 card poker and a few pre dinner beers.
After a dealer change it became apparent that this older guy was pretty new, or new to 3 card poker at least, he had no idea what was going on with the pair plus/6 card bonus pay outs.
He proceeded to pay us out randomly for three of a kind if we had one card matching his pair, some pretty interesting bonuses for full houses and some bizarre straights using all the cards on the table.
We pointed out a few were not right but he seemed pretty happy just cracking on and paying us out left right and centre.
The problem was we had to correct him on some things that we should be paid out on so it looked a little obvious that we were happy to correct in our favour but not so much when we were being paid 10/1 for a full house using 1 of my cards, 2 of my neighbours cards and 2 of the dealers cards!
After about 15-20 minutes we just left as we didn't want to have to explain ourselves in the back room!

Shortly before the Silver Slipper closed, one of my friends (RIP) & I were playing blackjack - the only two at the table.
Dealer was great... super-friendly, talkative, and saying how much she was going to miss working there.
Anyway, the Slipper would check the hole card with any Ace or 10 showing....and she would....and then she would "advise" us about our hands... at one point, I had hard-18, and waved to stand...she says, "No...you really don't. You need a hit." I got a 2 and beat her 19.
Another time, I tap for a hit of my 14, and she just says "No. You're good", flipping up her 6 in the hole with her 10, and busting.
When she had an ace showing , she'd call "Insurance?", we'd wave her off, she'd check the hole card, and if she had the 10, she'd call out again, "Insurance?". We learned very quickly that this was her "hint".
Obviously, we went up to green chips, but she did warn us not to bet higher than that.
We were tipping on every hand and played until her shift ended.
At one point, I asked her if she ever worried about the pit-critters... she said, "No...this is my last day & they know it. I don't think anyone is gonna get worked up over y'alls bets. Just keep things at the same level & we'll have a great time."

    What a sweet lady.

We've indeed had this conversation before!

My personal philosophy is to try to correct the mistake, but also not argue over it. I've had situations where I got an extra $5 chip or something like that, I've said something to the dealer, and they responded, "no, I paid you correctly". At that point, I'm done. And on the flip side, I've colored up and gotten an extra chip, the dealer immediately said, "I gave you an extra chip", and my response is just to toss it back. Casinos have too much on the line in terms of regulatory requirements to try to short players. Staying on the flip side, if they asked for $1k back I'd probably ask them to call up to surveillance, but for $5-$25 I'll take their word for it.

If it were a larger amount I'd probably go further, but at a certain point it becomes the property's responsibility.

I love this story. It's amazing what employees (dealers) will do when they know their days at their job is numbered. In this case it benefited the players. I loved how she basically said to keep it low-key. So awesome.

My first trip to Vegas was during 2001 so I did not live in the era where the older casinos like Silver Slipper and others were around. I bet there are some great stories out there for those lucky people on the board who experienced these. I'm a fan of old school Vegas and I will never know what they were like.

I once found myself playing Pai Gow Poker at the Tulalip Casino outside Seattle. After a few hands, dealers switched, and in came a dealer that clearly had no idea how Pai Gow Poker worked. She was pushing losing hands, paying hands that pushed, and setting her hand completely wrong. It took a good 15 minutes before the floorperson realized there was a problem, but he had multiple tables to watch and didn't stay close for very long. I played until they sent in a new dealer, then got the hell outta there.

It was a $10 table, so I didn't end up winning a whole lot, but I should have lost instead of having a small win.

Earlier this week at my local playing UTH. I have Ace, so I go 4x before the flop.

Dealer also has an Ace. Neither of us match the board, but he out kicks me.

dealer pays me anyways. Instead of losing 105, went to winning 60. $165 swing.
Other players saw it too, but nobody piped up. One gave me a knowing nod.
