Should CET have different earning for RC’s versus TC?

I have long found that one of the major problems with the CET system versus other casinos is that they track tier and reward credits as basically the same rating (absent bonus and multipliers). I totally get it that they want to make money on food and not give it away. However it seems crazy to me how I had around 6 hours of play on Saturday at harrahs AC earned 4000 tc base points which is worth $40 in food and beverage. However making the RC’s worthless is that fact that I get backend comp slips from my sr exec host not utilizing RC’s or going above and beyond when I have exhausted my RC’s for spas, restaurants, etc. I have been given comps slips for their shopping outlets and shows as well. Therefore the RC’s seem to be intended for the lower level player who does not have a host. However the earning of RC’s is so ridiculously low at cet versus most other properties that they will never attract the more causal player.

I am not sure if I am making sense but for the more casual Player the table game comps really suck. All of the allure with cet comes three months later when you get your first marketing offers but by then you may be long gone and no longer interested.

I haven't found it to be a problem. There are plenty of promotions with RC multipliers.

I disagree with your assessment of the target audience for RCs.

There are varying strategies for using RCs. I have two friends that are High Roller craps players. One of them plays high enough to get airfare comped from Canada every trip, and maintains a 0 balance in RC. The other maintains an RC balance because he hosts family members and takes them out to dinner on some trips.

I maintain over 100,000 RC balance because I don't want to be troubled or "pressured" into playing more than I want to but still be able to eat at Mr. Chow's or Koi, or Giada's.

My assessment is that if I don't like something, I vote with my feet.

CET is tighter than their primary competition when it comes to self-comps, but they are extremely generous to their casino players with the front-end room discounts and comps.

I mean, it is what it is. No doubt that one cent per $5 on slots is probably the lowest of the majors on the strip.

I think people are basically willing to look at it as trading off easier room availability for lower RC earning, I actually think that's a fair trade for most people. Being able to get a 5th comp night vs a max of 4 everywhere else could often be worth more than if they doubled the RC ratio.

If I do $4,000 a night coin in at MGM over 4 nights, I get $117.33 in combined PointPlay and ECs (at Pearl, 1.1x multiplier). MGM's max offer at that play level is gonna be 4 nights.

If I do $4,000 a night coin in at Cosmo over 4 nights, I get $128.00 in Identity Points (Sterling or Gold, 2x multiplier). Cosmo's max offer at that play level is gonna be 4 nights.

If I do $4,000 a night coin in at CET over 4 nights, I get $32 in RCs. If they doubled the RC ratio, I'd get $32 more.
But at CET, at that play level, I can also get a 5th night in a $200 room.

    This is Big for me.
If the other casinos would offer 5 nights instead of the 4 I think CET could be in some trouble..
I would rather know that even if just cant seem to win at all and decide to slow down my gambling or if I am not feeling well and spend more time in the room then normal that I wont have to pony up the cash for any of my stay.

Yes in most cases you can get the 5th night comped on the backend but there is something to be said about a reassurance in case the worst happens.

Right, back-end at my level is iffy. I like the no-hassle bird in the hand.

I do long trips, so I'm usually not picking one over the other; I stay at all 3 (MLife, Cosmo, and CET). But if my usual trip was 5 nights, I'd almost always use CET.

It’s like what i said. For a table player plus living in nj cet is a much better option for me. I also consider it to to be a trade off to get lousy reward credits to get suites fully comped, back end folio charges wiped clean almost always, and generous free play or gift card offers. I just am greedy and wish the reward credits were more. However at mlife in Vegas you get no express comps and my room offers consist of discounts and no free play. I do get good offers at borgata but the national appeal of cet makes it an easy choice for me. Plus I have found mlife okays on 14 foot craps tables which are far too big.

Also I get a much higher reward credit rating let’s say at Parx in Philly but they do not have a hotel so they make it up in food and beverage. Hard rock in ac is far more generous but they don’t rate pressed bets in craps and don’t give me weekend nights. Caesars respects my play the most in an overall package.

And everyone is different. I go to Las Vegas 10-12 times a year. I don't go to stay in a suite. If I get one, fine, but a room (99% of the time) is just where I lay my head. I left Caesars Palace as my home property because an Augustus Tower strip view room was a "waste" for me. Plus, the comp value over a standard room at Harrahs (with upgrade to a suite when available) was worth a day's worth of food at a nice restaurant (Giada's vs. Bacchanal Buffet, for example. Yeah, I know, poor choices but they're the first restaurants that popped into my head).

You choose your strategy according to your wants and needs. I can appreciate that is doesn't meet your EXACT needs, but what program does??

Actually, I have learned that it is best to stay in the most modest room at the mid tier hotels. I do not request the suites however I am always offered them and typically decline unless I am trying to impress someone. I prefer to have lower comp value as I spend very little time in the room and rather potentially have charges taken care of on the back end. My point earlier was that while the RC's are weak, they do make it up in other ways which are quite generous. It is just strange that they draw their line in the sand with RC's.

Was going to say this. It's VERY easy to get comp rooms at CET's mid-tier properties, much, much easier than it is at MGM and others.

And maybe not so much in Vegas, but at their regional properties, there are often RC multiplier promotions.
