If you've narrowed it down to those two then TI. I sense from your post that you are new to Vegas. TI is much better located - Sahara is stuck a long way from nearly everything else - but the food options are meh at TI., However TI is close to everything else - particularly Venetian/Palazzo which are right across the street and give you basically infinite food options.

Stayed at TI a couple years back and we usually walk through once a trip as we stay at The Mirage.

The rooms were nice and clean. They have a fridge you can use. The bathroom was spacious, double sink I recall and the water pressure in the shower was great. They had security check id at the elevator at night.

The drink service was pretty decent and the casino was lively when we were there.

Food wise I agree it's not upper end dining but okay. Senor Frogs was pretty good last time I was there. As mentioned you are pretty close to the Venetian and Mirage for more food options.

There is a CVS onsite which is nice to have.

They have free parking and if you book the TV Ad Special on their website you can waive the resort fee at check in but you get zero wifi on the property in doing so.

KInd of a mix of younger and older people

Sahara on the other hand, does have a monorail stop. A one week pass is fifty some odd dollars (I believe) and is still a great way to get up and down the strip. It really depends on where you want to go and what you want to do. Ubers add up quickly.

I prefer Treasure Island because I like the table dealers, the drink service at the craps table, the size of the casino isn't too big, we enjoyed the new buffet on two different trips, my wife had fun on the slots, it attracts a nice crowd of vacationers, its, central to everything on the strip, Mirage is a short walk next door, Encore and Wynn across the road.

On the other hand I have never been to Sahara, its on the north end of the strip, it's fighting for its life to stay in business. Too bad they blew up the Star Dust. Wasn't that the location?

Stardust was where the maybe-to-be-opened Resorts World now stands.

Agreed, you're also right across the road from Fashion Show Mall and if you decided to do any shopping or walking around in there you can go across the street to see Wynn/Encore (which every Vegas visitor should do) go to Parasol Down (bar in the Wynn) for a cocktail at night and enjoy the free show while having that drink (if into alcoholic drinks I'd suggest the Margarita- best one Ive had anywhere). If you want cheap eats and you're into street tacos, walk through the Wynn and through the Encore exit the main door past checkin at Encore turn left to Las Vegas Blvd. Turn right up Las Vegas Blvd and a few hundy yards up on your right is El Gordo Tacos. (don't forget to ask for the complimentary the fried green onions/peppers).

If you wanted to head south down the strip you can grab the free tram that runs to the Mirage next door. (my favourite sports book)and if you're hungry the Carnegie Deli in the Mirage is sure to scratch that itch. Caesars is right next to the Mirage and now you're in the middle of it.

Plus if you're driving, there is free parking at TI.

RE: Above I should have been more clear. You grab the free tram at TI (its near the parking garage)

Gotta agree with TI. Sahara is in no mans land with the Stratosphere . Its fun to visit if you're riding the bus down the strip and drinking with friends, but I wouldn't want to stay there.

Sadly, the Carnegie Deli has closed at the Mirage.

Agree with all of this, plus free parking and CVS on site.
