    Another of those places I'd been by many many times, but never stopped. Why do we do that? (I know a guy here who is a native and he's never been to Yosemite. WTF?) Jack London State Historic Park, Glen Ellen, CA.

    Man, he died at 40.

    The ruins of Wolf House, which burned through just weeks before it was to be occupied. It would've been so cool. He died just a few years later.

    It's been a very very long time. I went to the local library yesterday so I can revisit some of his works.

    Good for you! I used to take people there all the time and nobody had ever heard of it. Maybe because you have to get out of your car and walk a few hundred feet to get to it. :haha:

    We got in about five miles of walking, on the Wolf House/grave loop then over by the "farm." We're taking our mountain bikes next time!

    Dinner our last night, at LaSalette, a Portugese place just off the plaza. Vibrant room, cozy, folks at various tables asking what others were having, lots of windows. Pork and clams and the fish of the day, corvino:
