    My Trip Report

Hello VMB...headed to the Beau Rivage on an MGM junket tonight so I'm taking the plunge to attempt a semi-live TR. (I've always been amazed at the level of details in the reports of others!). Last visit was last May and it was a good one, so I'm hoping to catch lightning in a bottle again. Had a $2-k handpay on a Sherlock Holmes slot, and hit a RF on a 10-play JOB game. :woohoo:
My traveling buddy JB is coming along - he's not a big gambler, but enjoys joining on the freebie junkets - and will play a little BJ or slots from time to time. I'm not sure where I fall in the mix...like to play a lot of $25 BJ and some 3-card poker, along with tons of VP and some slots. Ran $27,000 through the machines last year - and as mentioned it was a winning vacation.
Trip is a comped junket - free flight, free room...have to pay $50 bucks a person, but you get $50 pp in freeplay to offset. I've also got $125 in FP and a $50 resort credit from MLife. We typically make it to three or four of the other casino's in Biloxi - but most of our time is spent in the Beau. Looking forward to seeing their new sports book....also have a BOGO from MyVegas on the buffet...and a free appetizer at Stalla.
Only downside to the trip is a 10 pm flight departure, which means we won't get to the hotel until midnight - so really not as much gambling as normal on the first day. But we're there until midday Friday so it should be fun.
Not sure how successful I'll be at keeping this updated - but I really enjoy reading other trip reports, so it's time for me to take a stab.

I got that offer as well. Thought hard, but decided to pass this time. Had a hard time justifying 10 pm from Chattanooga and 4 nights in kennel for the four legged son. Our usual stays at the Beau are three nights.

    Have a good trip!!

Your departure time made me wonder if any of these junkets from anywhere in the country have good coming and going times.

We've stopped taking them up on the offer because of the bad flight schedules. We get in late the first day then leave at 7 am the departure day. So it's three nights, but really only two days. And that last night we don't enjoy as much as we should because we are worrying about having to get up so dang early.

I certainly understand why that would be a turnoff. This is the fourth MGM junket I've taken to Beau Rivage and the time for this trip is the worst I've had. The others were mid-afternoon or early evening flights to MS, so not bad. Based on the flights they are running today, it sounds like a flight taking folks home from Biloxi to Norfolk -- that lands there at 7:50 pm -- is probably the plane that is coming to Raleigh to take us to Biloxi. On this trip, we'll have three full days (Tu-We-Th) and Friday morning for the trip. Our return flight is 1:30 on Friday

The one offered to me from 2/23 to 2/27 had an 8:40 pm departure from Philadelphia and a 3:20 pm departure from Biloxi. I'd be okay with it.

Gotta be careful on BJ tables. The “main” tables in the middle of casino are 3:2 at mostly $10 shoe or $25+ DD pitch. You can DAS. The wings going east and west in the back of the casino have put in some 6:5. Thought this was pretty poor. Most other tables are $10 minimums. Usually at least one $10 craps table open.

Live Blackjack but the $50 double deck pitch game chewed me up. Better luck at some STP BP...nothing major but a couple of hits that kept me playing

I'll be coming in on your coat tails. My GF and I will arrive Thursday the 6th. Late(ish) flight out of Madison, WI (8:25pm). Should be at the Beau by around midnight. Glad to hear that the Hard Rock has $5, 10x craps. That's playable. Otherwise, I may have had to take that trolley bus to IP for $5, 20x. Hopefully the Beau has $10 min UTH, other wise, they're not going to get much action from me.

We're spending Saturday and Saturday night in NOLA. Renting a car from Enterprise.
