Just wondering how people are watching it? I see you can pay for CBS all access if you already have amazon prime. If you don’t want amazon prime, you can get cbs all access directly but is that just to watch on your computer? I don’t seem to have a cbs all access app on my Smart TV. Suggestions appreciated.
We'll be watching on Sunday from Amazon Prime/CBS all access on our Smart TV. Especially since we're primarily baseball fans. A good alternative from the Super Bowl. I know streaming is all about the nickel and diming of shows right now but I've always been intrigued with Picard and how The Borg has influenced his psyche. So I'm in. Hope you can find a way to watch so it works out for you, @meyers67.
Did you use the search function to try to find it on your TV? It's probably not a default app, but the search app feature on your TV might find it and you can install it after that.
Although I am a Star Trek fan, I have not watched it. I can't see paying foe the CBS streaming service for just one show. I don't have any type of Amazon account.
Although I am unaware of any such not-so-legal online streaming websites, I would guess there are plenty of them. Not that I would endorse such sites.
Won't pay so guess I won't watch Picard. But then I didn't watch the recent Star Trek series that is/was on cbs all access either. One day I will try to look for episodes but I won't pay for it.
You can get cbs all access via Roku also. I actually signed up for it on Amazon, since Dish got into it with our local cbs, which is vhf, so my rabbit ears won't pick them up, back when the playoffs were heating up, planning to use my firestick. The firestick is slow, and wireless, so while it's an amazon bought channel, I stream it on my wired roku. I also find it interesting that while I live in the Springfield MO DMA, my internet reports I am in KC, so I get the KC local.
Back in my day, Captain Picard was on network TV and didn't require no subscriptions. Kids these days with their hippin' and their hoppin', and their rokus and amazon primes, I tells ya. Oh and we were force-fed those standalone filler episodes (aka "bottle" episodes) of The Next Generation made on set to pad out a 24 episode order and we liked it too.
The first episode is up for free on YouTube. It's basically a teaser to get you to buy All Access. First couple of episodes have been fun. Patrick Stewart is a one of my favorites. Who do I have to kill to get him and Morgan Freeman in a movie together?
Ooooh, I would definitely watch whatever they might be paired in, well maybe not "Last Vegas II" but just about anything else. Let me know how your plan pans out.
The majority of the shows we like are on CBS and I have had all access for a couple years, even though we have it over the air from Chicago and Milwaukee (along with 60+ other channels). No commercials, never miss a show, the special content, we watch it as much as we watch Netflix, Hulu , Prime, and HBO, combined during the prime season. PLUS you can watch on any device. As Far as Picard. I saw my first Star Trek episode in 1970, kept up with the various spin offs, saw the movies, and read 100's of the books (an easy, fun, read when you know all the characters and equipment), AND I have immensely enjoyed the first two episodes.
I have an Amazon fire stick, added an app that gives me free TV shows and Films so currently watching Picard. Can give you the name of the app if anyone is interested.I live in Scotland so not sure if the app can be accessed in the USA,not clued up all that much on technology.
plenty apps to use for live TV, movies, tv shows ect...non of these apps require jailbreaking and using the god awful kodi crap LiveNetTV, RedBox TV, Mobdro, Cinema HD
The first episode of Picard is a freebie for a limited time for those who don't have a paid subscription to CBS All Access. You can watch the first episode on various streaming services like Amazon Prime, YouTube, and several others. They're trying to get folks to signup for the paid subscription with the first episode teaser. CBS All Access is also running a free 7 day trial.
We use Mobdro, what are you using? Would like to know some alternatives in case Mobdro doesn't work properly. Location is Cumbria. Didn't realise the offering on Prime was just a teaser. Not impressed.
I use Cyberflix, currently watching House of Cards as never watched it first time round. Also recommend Mr Mercedes.
