Left stand and had to return to stand due to a bag issue which in the end was down to a systems failure. Capt has said we are putting some more fuel on so we can open the throttle a bit more.

So landed at about 7pm, flight was ok in the end but a bit bumpy in parts. Watched the latest Terminator film, bit like watching T2 again.
Bit of a queue for immigration but got through and luggage was there waiting. Got pulled by customs for a additional bag x ray, first time ever but they seem to be pulling a few.

Got Lyft from the airport, usually get cab but fed up of prices. Nice driver very chatty and that's it for me using cabs in Vegas. Only time I used them was from the airport.

Got to El Cortez and checked in, I booked a tower room but have been give an upgrade to Cabana rooms.

I stayed in the Cabana rooms a couple of times after they first opened. I really like them (and I love the color green). Congrats on the free upgrade.

Yeah, though I love green (more pure green, not that lime), that IS a lot of green. LOL.

If it's a super suite there should be another air conditioning unit behind that couch. Just in case you like your room to feel like Antarctica.

After getting to the ropm and sorting everything I went back to the cssino for a beer before moving on. First went to The D and had a drink in there. Derek was at the bar and its nice to see a owner do this. However how many hanger on's does he have, what a entourage.

After there I went across to Fremont and had a drink at Filament bar before a walk up to Golden Gate for a couple.

I got Lyft to the Strip and I'm currently in O'Sheas.

Starting the day in Siegels for a late breakfast, going to have a walk around after. Not sure where I'm watching the game yet.

One thing I forgot to mention yesterday was the mask wearers. I noticed a couple of immigration officers wearing them but a guy who got on the lift with to go up to the parking structure. He was wearing a mask like the guy wears who does the spray paint art.on Fremont St.

I didn’t realize the cabana rooms were considered an upgrade, I thought they were just a different type of room like an alternative,(wondering because I have 3 night comp offer from Elco). Didn’t the tower rooms just get remodeled? Anyway I’m looking forward to reading more of your trip, good luck...

Yesterday ended up watching the game at Golden Nugget, was going to watch in Golden Gate but all the seats at the bar were reserved. After Nugget I walked back to Cortez and was going to have a nap before going back out. Didn't wake til after 11pm so stayed there. Of course awake at 5am, currently on casino playing VP.

When I was in Golden Nugget yesterday I was sat at the bar at the spirtsbook. A guy who was with his wife and her friend who by the wsy was bang tidy, but anyway the bar was full and the guy had to stand while he let his wife and friend sit down next to me.

The guy Sat on the other side of me got up and left so this guy asks if I don't mind moving up a seat so he can sit with his wife, no problem and I moved over. I was just about to get another drink when this guy says he will get that for me. I said he didn't have to but he insisted, it was a really nice gesture.

All caught up and following along... love a good downtown TR, looking forward to reports of big wins to come!

I'm enjoying this slightly more than the average TR just because you came in from Manchester, one of my favourite cities. Did you take the train in from Lancashire? That's one of my favourite things about MCR, how easy it is to get to by train.

Also, FYI... El Cortez has a matchplay/freeplay offer now at their player's club with a boarding pass from ANY airline (it used to be Allegiant and WestJet only). I'm pretty sure it has to be within 24 hours of landing, but if I were you I'd ask anyway. They've redeemed boarding passes for me several days later without issue.
