I got an offer for most mlife rooms to be comped. Whats your best to worst of thier selection. I doubt i could/would stay at the best, im kinda cheap lol. Cant wait to read this list. Thanks
Now this is all subjective. This list below is strictly the room. Not about casino, pool, location, etc. And this is assuming you have one of the remodeled rooms at somewhere like Luxor. I'm also only taking into account the basic rooms at the specific hotel; i.e. Aria Sky Suites 1 Bedroom, Bellagio Resort King, Vdara Studio, etc. Best to Worst: Aria (esp. Sky Suites) Bellagio Nomad Vdara Delano Signature at MGM Grand Mandalay Bay Park MGM Mirage Luxor MGM Grand New York-New York Excalibur 1,654,265. Circus Circus (lol). Based off location, casino, etc. This is harder... lol. I'm still mostly ocusing on the rooms themselves. Aria Bellagio Nomad Vdara Mirage Park MGM MGM Grand Signature at MGM Grand Luxor Delano Mandalay Bay New York-New York Excalibur Just a couple of notes on this. Excalibur will always be at the bottom. Vdara has no casino, but the rooms are all suites and you're like 50 ft. from the Aria and Bellagio is close too (and Cosmo if you care). MGM Grand pulls ahead of Signature because of it's location. Lucor, MB, Delano, are far IMO. NYNY is meh too. Mirage rooms are a solid B but it's location is niceeeee. Never stayed at Nomad but they're top floors, good location, private pool, and the rooms do look super nice. Bellagio is a sexy classic so yeah. Aria is the Aria. Especially Sky Suites. Err yeah. This was fun.
Everyone's list is likely to be different. And reflective of their personal values. One person may want what's considered luxury property, another perceives better value in a moderate property's suite. One factor I am aware of... MLife offers can indicate MGM's hierarchy. When I see alot of offers, the properties perceived as more premium may have fewer max days, or lower food & beverage offers. The printed corporate offerings may be even more segregated or hierarchical. E.g., my offers will generally all have the same free play. Bellagio, ARIA, perhaps MGM Grand offer up to 3 nights $50 f&b. NYNY, Luxor may offer 4 nights in a suite, Excalibur 4 nights as well, $100 f&b. Others in between. My last printed offer had one phone number to redeem Bellagio , ARIA & Vdara, MGM Grand, another for Mirage, Mandalay Bay & Delano, Park MGM, a third number to redeem Luxor, Excalibur, NYNY. That organization makes me infer value. I choose based on location, and a goal to try every one of what I perceive to be nicer properties. With some weight given to f&b. I like the stretch of LVB from Bellagio, south to Nomad, including ARIA. I'd recommend that, season permitting, a pool enthusiast try Mandalay Bay at least once. Stayed at most in last 18 months. Only repeat was ARIA. Favorite MGM hotel: Nomad. Favorite MGM casino: Bellagio. Next Mlife stay: either return to Nomad or try Mirage for first time in 20+ years. Full disclosure: if I get an offer, I'm more interested in returning to Cosmopolitan than MLife. Other non-MLife... Wynn rooms were great, and my rating for best fitness center. I get Venetian offers weekly, but have yet to stay there; I may go simply to experience highly rated rooms... but may not bother because I want to focus play at MGM properties and Cosmo.
You mention many times in your limited posts that you're cheap. If that's the case, there's few better places than the Mandalay Bay to stay if you want the Vegas megaresort experience without paying out the wazoo for it. The location sucks, yeah, but it has pretty much everything you need, with restaurants at every price point. It's close to other not-so-expensive resorts like the Luxor, Excalibur, and New York New York, and you're also a short Uber/Lyft/taxi/car ride away from the Las Vegas South Premium Outlets, which have some non-hotel (see: cheaper) food and shopping options.
I get the offers like Retriggerme has stated. Seems like when i want go to Bellagio and Aria the comps are not good when i wanna go. We don't mind Excalibur at all especially when they comp my resort fees as well and get 75$ in freeplay and 100$ resort credit. My buddy and i can stay at Excalibur for a week for only 120$ so 60$ a person. We have stayed at the nicer uppidy places but seems like the casino clears out around midnight even on the weekends. We're late night people so Excalibur and NYNY is fun to play at late in the evening. Excalibur is clean and quite rooms and the beds are nice as well. We will stay at cheaper resort cause that gives us more gambling money.
I get different level of offers based on property. For example, I can get a suite at many properties, but only a regular room at others. When I do get a suite offer at Bellagio, it is only for the Salon Suite which is actually just a larger room vs bedroom/living area with a door. Also, food and freeplay varies by property. Ranking is often difficult and varies by each person and their experience. Aria/Bellagio are always at the top. Park MGM is all over the place depending on different people.
The Luxor has always been good to us. Low Rollers. Offers have been generous and the location is good if you like the south end.
Congrats on the comps! Since you say “most” Mlife rooms comped, I’m guessing Aria/Bellagio are not included. I'm a midrolller, but Aria has CONSISTENTLY treated us better than mid or low-tier Mlife hotels. If an Aria offer on comps? My absolute FAVORITE Mlife hotel. If Aria is not offering, Mandalay Bay is second pick. Yes, far location, but tons of indoor walkways, GREAT mid-tier food options, and some of THE best value rooms on the strip. Floor to ceiling windows and separate shower, tub and water closet, in a big bathroom. MB is one of our go-to hotels. Third, Luxor tower rooms (not pyramid). The renovations are beautiful. Floor to ceiling windows, separate shower/tub. Fourth...mirage. Lots of fans on here and beautiful atrium, but no floor to ceiling windows and tiny bathroom in basic room. congrats again, and have a blast!
It depends on your style. I like nice restaurants so as long as it’s not gross, the hotel room is secondary. My go to hotels have been NYNY and Delano-Mandalay Bay. Used to go to MGM Grand a lot but I can’t win there. Bellagio is not my style, too fancy for me. I’ve had chances for comp rooms at Aria but I didn’t want to play that hard for back end Aria comps. NYNY rooms are smaller due to the odd shape of the hotel. They could use a remodel when compared to other hotels. However, their suites often have hot tubs, if you like that. Player Suites ending in 75 like 1175 are ~ 850 sq feet. Atmosphere is very comfortable with small casino, piano bar & NY themed food court. I eat dinner at MGM Grand restaurants when I stay at NYNY because they have better restaurants. I like Delano (on same grounds as Mandalay). All rooms are suites with the smallest being 700+ sq ft. Delano is near the parking lot which makes getting in & out easy. Also you can cut through the parking lot to get to the restaurants/MB events center. Many good restaurants & large casino. Stripsteak is amazing. A free tram connects Mandalay to Luxor and then to Excalibur. From Excalibur you could walk to MGM Grand, Tropicana, Park MGM, & NYNY, so your not really that isolated. Congrats on the comp & have fun.
My latest offers vary very little when considering the differences in room rates, for example, Aria, 3 nights with $50 credit, $75 free play and 'possible' resort fee to Excalibur, 4 nights with $100 credit and same freeeplay, no resort fee. As previous posts have mentioned, it's all subjective and depends on your priorities....for me, even though I'm sure the Aria room is far more luxurious, I will be more than likely NYNY because I love the themed resorts, it doesn't take long to get out of the place from leaving the room, the Pour bar has great beer and I've always found the casino to have a great atmosphere. Same childlike, some might say pleasure in sleeping in a Pyramid ! If I did choose the thicker bedsheet places it would have to be Bellagio, again for the character and theming. I appreciate the reasons fellow Vegas Heads stay at Aria, but for me personally, I want to be in a place that makes me smile, not feeling like I'm walking up to a company headquarters for an interview.
FYI I'm cheap too and try to pay $50 or less for any room I get when I go. That said I do want the nicest I can get for that money. I've stayed at the Monte Carlo just before it became Park, and I've stayed at Bally's, Luxor, Excalibur, Stratosphere , and the Aladdin. (now Planet Hollywood) I find that just playing here and there for a half hour or two will get you good offers once or twice a year. I last went to Vegas in September 2018 and am staying at Mandalay Bay in February for 5 nights for $75 plus resort fees. Could have stayed at Luxor for $25 or Excalibur for free, but no thanks. I imagine that based on my estimated play they will send me an offer for a couple free rooms later this year for the cheaper properties and a one night offer for MB. Given how MGM lets me earn rewards via the My Vegas app and they offer me some cheap rooms here and there I try to only play at MGM casinos and eat at places in their properties. I have no doubt that anyone actually looking at my play wouldn't even give me a free hotel pen, let alone a free night.
I can rank the ones I've personally stayed at, based on the following criteria - Quality of room / Location / Restaurants / Casino (combo of games, layout, and table mins) / Resort Vibe 1. Aria 2. Bellagio --- Vdara -- No casino though 3. Nomad 4. Park MGM 5. Mirage 6. MGM Grand 7. Mandalay Bay / Delano 8 . NYNY .... haven't stayed at the other MLife properties.
1. Aria 2. Vdara 3. Bellagio 4. Nomad 5. MGM Grand 6. Mirage 7. MGM Park 8. NYNY 9. Mandalay Bay 10. Luxor
I like staying at mgm property’s and here are my list - Mgm Grand skyloft aria skysuite Bellagio suites Mandalay Bay suites Nomad Mirage never stayed - Vadra - suppose to be better suite. Luxor as @Multifarious5 mentioned I believe Mandalay Bay has one of the best value only negative it’s location other than that it’s solid casino/hotel.
