LOL, I work with a couple of beer snobs (both guys) and they will order some esoteric craft brew and I'll usually order Bud Light or Rolling Rock. The conversation then goes like: "You and your chick beer ..." -- "Hey I resemble that renark!"

The thing is, I enjoy the lighter beers far more than the darker ones I've sampled.

Been there, done that, many times, rinse-repeat! Worst is when you are comfortably ahead and just putzing around killing time waiting for your ride to finish. Then you start playing with serious money again. Nope! :(

Wow. You are my gambling soulmate. I know what you mean 10000% regarding consistency and why you/I play after a win (including for fun).

Congratulations!!!! Yeah, we are soulmates. I have put in their machine (with their permission) people I kind of know a 20 -- Vegas locals/regulars with whom I have often played side by side. I am loving your generosity but also feeling like we were separated at birth by the gambling gods.

I can't remember if you mentioned where your mom stayed during her last trip when she felt a few days was "long enough". I say that as there is nothing like luxury that makes daughters -- and mothers -- want to enjoy a place longer. My mom is a case in point. Years ago she would have thought it insane for her to be in Vegas for two weeks but now that she has experienced Encore and Vegas generally in a different way, well, when I was kind of holding my breath telling her our trip would be 16 nights, her response was "that sounds wonderful.":kill::love::kill:

So happy for you and your mom that you had an amazing and MAGICAL (a perfect word for what you two experienced!) trip.:love::love:

Off-topic, but I hope you and your mom enjoy your next trip as much as @Multifarious and her mom has.

Always remember, it’s not how you start, but how you finish. Especially gambling.

Nice work ... karma on giving out the $100 came back to you!

@Flowers I know I will have MANY others agree...we have amazing people on VMB, but your have always struck me as one of the kindest, most gentle, and most gracious.

So you basically calling my your Vegas Doppleganger?

    Best compliment ever.

I was grinning on the comment on “the moms like to stay longer when in a nicer hotel”.

You nailed it. When she got antsy 8-10 years ago, it was an upper mid-tier hotel, but with one shared SMALL room, and no floor to ceiling windows. Crazy how Wynn/Aria/Cosmo rooms make staying longer more comfy!

you made my night flowers, thank you so much! And thank you to everyone else who followed along! My mom knows I love CMB and she said to say “hi”!

@pebbles yes! Lets finish this TR up by wishing flowers an AMAZING trip in April! Flowers, while luck plays a hand, a big part is on us, and I KNOW you’ll make it magical.

Remember, it not the expensive meals, it’s the mini muffins in bed with coffee, the time together just visiting in the room, or the hugs and laughs we share with our mom that are magical.
It’s not the money spent, it’s the memories we share, and I am wishing you an amazing trip!

Great TR, glad you had such an amazing trip with your mom!

Oh, and @dmr, Rolling Rock is what I was weaned on, while I have developed quite a taste for Guinness and other stouts/porters, I'd never turn down a Rolling Rock!

For, I don’t do beer often, but when I do, it’s NOT IPA. Drink what tastes good to YOU

You are too kind. God bless ya @Multifarious5 for the good wishes and I couldn't agree with you more about the seeming "little things" and experiences rather than the big meals, though those are great too. (My mom's favorite meal in Vegas is the Wynn Cafe grilled cheese and tomato soup, either in bed or while playing. :))

Hugs to your mom from all of us on VMB. She is now really an honorary member and we so appreciate that both of you took us along on your wonderful ride.

Wonderful trip report! What a great time with your mom. Cherish it. My mom got cancer two years ago, and while she is in remission, the radiation left her weak and easily tired. She couldn’t handle a trip more than an hour on a plane, or a few hours in the car now.

Tell your mom we women most certainly can and do drink beer, and dark beers are awesome. Moose Drool and Salted Caramel Porter and Vanilla Bourbon Stout are my favorites
