Silverton is $5 3×4×5 odds. Planning on stopping on the way in on Sunday.

@Reverb If you are going to Sams Town from downtown you don’t need to pay for a ride. You can catch the free Boyd’s tourist sized bus from Fremont or California to Sams Town and back.

If you want to visit Suncoast you can take the WAX bus near 4th and Fremont st for $2 each. WAX ends at Suncoast

Thanks for the heads up on no Craps at Longhorn. We may end up having lunch. I checked out the menu online. I will have to try either the liver and onions or the creamed beef. After that play a slot machine for $20.
I have not been to Sams Town. Boyds gives me free rooms so a visit for - low wager- Craps game will give my wife a chance to practice her game. There are a couple of carnival style poker choices. Maybe I will try one. I really like Boyds properties.
Why would anyone want to stay down on the strip. You'll crap your pants before you find a bathroom in those monstrosities. And try to find something to eat between midnight and six A.M..

You think like me FABinmonte, I grew up with public transportation. I studied the bus routes before my first solo trip last year. I rented a car for two days so I could race over to China Town and Gold Coast, Palms and returned it at the D Casino. (top floor in the garage. (craps tables near-by Enterprise desk) I have used Enterprise Rental Car for the past twenty years. I used the bus to visit the strip and Henderson. If you are just relaxing and not in a hurry try the bus. Transit police will get on and off at stops at night to check things out. I felt safe. I will use it for Sams Town.

Yeah, let us know when you're there next week. 10x odds would be great.

Driving there, jan 26th in the afternoon. I have $25 match play there and 2 for 1 buffet so were planning on stopping there for lunch and hanging out till its checkin time @PH. Definitely will update this thread. If anyone goes before me feel free to to post it up here. They should still 2 tables in the pit. I've never seen the other one open, but I've played at the crowded one many time. (This isn't my picture btw) but its fairly recent. Also just did some detective work right now (thanks google maps street view!) Very recent picture here... says so right there on the billboard! Lol we shall see! 20200118_203110.jpg Screenshot_20200118-203717_Maps.jpg

Jokers Wild in Henderson's nether regions has a $1 craps game on weekdays and $2 on weekends. I have only visited by car. It would be a bus ride best suited for the patient yet intrepid.

Railroad Pass also has $1 or less I can't remember. I usually stop there on the way in or out of Vegas if we are going that rout. Beware it is off off off strip.

    Boulder City.

Only been to Railroad Pass once, in the afternoon coming back from the dam.

Craps was closed -- I don't think they open the table until the evening.

Ellis Island is where I went when I hit Vegas with my 22 year old son. Wanted him to throw some dice for the first time. Got an excellent cheap steak dinner too.

Hey there's a new place in Vegas called Casino Quest. They just opened up very recently in the fashion show mall down there on the strip. They have all the casino games, craps table etc. From what I've seen you just pay 15$ an hour and you play as much as you want for pretend money. All the dealers are CEG fresh graduates and teachers so you have a full crew and a gambling like experience. You can practice anything you want without loosing big money. I thought it was cool. Just decided to share that here. I'm gonna be checking that place out next weekend. I love the idea, it's a great way to warm up before you go battle against the big dogs.

I’ll second Jokers as a good low roller option but way down Boulder highway.

I’m somewhat surprised this hasn’t been mentioned but I’d consider Jerry’s Nugget. It’s a 2 mile Uber from El Cortez. They have $3 craps and you’ll likely have dealers that your dad might remember playing with 40 years ago. They have a nice diner with a prime rib special that always makes those top 10 lists. Not the best neighborhood but it’s safe inside and much nicer than you’d expect.

The M Resort in Henderson. We love to stay there because it is a beautiful hotel and casino with low table minimums and a good cocktail service.

M Resort always has a $5 dice table open @5X odds.

Try the pizza at the Vig Deli (whole pie cooked to order not a slice).
    Reuben sandwich also good there.

    Good Luck!
