Yeah, God forbid he would forget to take it when moving machines. I, and many others here, have done it. I really don't like inserting over $100 if I can avoid it.

A really great run so far @Chuck2009x! Congrats!

You should try losing $2500 more often. It works for you! Congrats on the hits.

Damn showoff :evillaugh:  :poke: :nworthy:

If I have the guts next week, I’m gonna play one whole day/night just like you, so keep the slot and tito pics coming. However, for the first time in a few years I won’t be playing at Cosmo, what are the odds I can duplicate some of your wins at Mirage, cause I know they have some of these same slots?

Well, you never really know what the payback % is going to be set to at different places, but they maybe the same or close.

On the Double Diamond, you have to be mentally prepared for long-ish strings (like 10 spins or so) hitting nothing. But the thing about DD is that it never pays you a fraction of your bet, the lowest wins are 2, 5, 10.

Cleo II occasionally will pay really large line hits, but it's mostly about the bonus rounds.

My "strategy" on slots is always to load up and then just keep hitting the button, I try not to watch the meter. A lot of the time, I'll just do my whole day's play in a single session and I don't bail until I've reached my loss limit. Theoretically, there's no difference between that and jumping around to different machines, it's just the way I like to do it. I like to either catch positive variance or outlast bad variance. And I usually do about the same amount of coin-in each day, so if I hit something big early, I don't bail, I just keep playing the same machine.

Chuck, after your romp through Cosmo methinks you're in prime position to get a shiny new Trabant and still have a little left over to tip the valet at Wynn......

Well done on all the slot hits. Hope your good run continues.......

Congratulations @Chuck2009x Nice Cleo II Bonus!
I think I need to play Double Diamond next month, I haven’t played it in years, but always reminds me of my late Grandmother, it was the first slot machine I played when she took me on my first casino trip, to Sun City in South Africa.
I see our Summer dates might coincide once again, TeamClare are returning to regular Summer Vegas Schedule!!
Good Luck, I’ll be following along

Gotta rush this a little bit cause I'm meeting jpw in about an hour.

Got to Bally's at 11:30, didn't get into my room until just after 4:00.

Decided to play while I waited. I figured I'd buy in for $1,000 and get 1,000 TCs out of the way while I waited. They had a $5 DD machine in the high limit area and I thought I was good, played a few spins before I realized something was wrong.
    IMG_0524.JPG

The top line pays $8,000, the regular paytable at $5, it should be $4,000. No good.

So I found a $1 min denom with the regular paytable and played it at $2 denom, 2 credits, so $4/spin. It played pretty well, was up early, had a few nice hits
    IMG_0527.JPG

But then I embarked on a journey across a great desert, where the only question was would I be able to get 1,000 TCs out of $1,000.

    IMG_0528.JPG

Started to look like I wasn;t gonna even be able to make the 1,000 TCs, but whatever, my "strategy" is to outlast the variance.

$152 left, and only 900-something TCs, then:

    IMG_0530.JPG

BTW, I played off the remaining $152 and still didn't reach 1,000 TCs, I had to put in more money.

Room is nice, it;s on the Flamingo Rd side though.

Holy sh*t! I did that on my last trip. I wasn't sure if I broke my leg. Had to curtail my wandering around town. Total sh*t show.

It's very nice and huge, I'm just not a fan of the bedroom layout. The tub is right there. It's designed his/her, with sinks on either side (makeup mirror on one and shower entry from either side).

There's plenty of room, it cries out for a wall and a couple of doors, it would make it so much better. I had to see it for myself. You tell me why there's no cheap wall and doors where the rug ends and the tile begins.

I had the honor and privilege of meeting @jpw711 tonight. Great guy, just as I expected.

I see he has lifted the embargo on Tool pics, so I'll add a couple.

    Crystals getting ready for CNY:

Aria reminded me of why I liked it, it's really a nice property to have butt outside of:

My Tool footage came out shitty as hell, so I offer only this, for les habitants:

    IMG_0543.JPG

And now I gotta go grind out another 1,500 TCs to hit my mark. Well, I don't HAVE to, but I'm gonna.

    Wish me luck.

Silly question... why is this no good for a single-credit $5 machine?

    Because my theory is:

If you put two machines side by side and the total payout % is the same, but the top line on one is larger than the other, the one with the bigger topline jackpot is robbing the frequency of the lower payouts to do it.

So this machine at Bally's, when it pays that rare DD-DD-DD, it pays twice as much as all the other DD machines. If it's gonna have the same theo payout, it has to get that from somewhere. Where it gets it from is all the 2s -5s - 10s payouts. You get less of them. And those smaller ones are what keep you in the game.

I don't think this is calculable, but let's see if @tringlomane has Saturday off.

For sake of argument, let's say 10% hold for the $5 machine, and 12% for the non-$5 machine. A 20% diff. I don't know that's true.

The $5 machine pays 1,600 credits for the top line jackpot

The $1 machine pays 800 credits for the top line jackpot.

Below the top line, the paytables are the same.

I look at the topline jackpot on the $5 machine and smell a rat.

So i play 25% less per spin ( I go $2x x 2 credits for $4 total) to give me more shots and make up for what I think is the deficiency in the paytable.

    A. That's correct.
    B. It doesn't matter
C.Jesus Christ, look at that that ass
