So if I give my players card to my mom and grandma to play on, what happens if one of them wins a jackpot with my card in the machine? Is the jackpot void? Will I get in trouble? Will they? Anyone know how this would work out?
They won't win a jackpot, don't worry about that part *sorry to be cynical there. There's a better answer. But odds are that you're making the better choice by sharing your card
I believe it has been covered before, to the best of my recollection, they can't rob you on the payout (this may vary at indian casinos), but you may get sweated on the player account.. I've heard tell of an entire multigenerational family that runs hard all on one card, so they get crazy suites and comps. I was kind of wondering the same thing about maybe having some newbies we bring to town play on our card, but I think we will play it safe and do group slot pull format. eagerly awaiting the expert replies. furthermore: some say to pull the card out on the hit, or be around to claim it. My partner hit a handpay on my card and was able to provide her own SS# for the W2G, card in the machine was no issue.
I have hit many jackpots with my wifes card. Here is what I do. 1 - Hit Jackpot 2 - Take her card out of the machine and put in my pocket 3 - Pull out my Drivers Lic and my players card and lay on machine 4 - Wait for attendant 5 - collect money Simple stuff. Never, ever been a problem.
Correct. My Sis & her husband looong ago hit their yearly max. So, BOTH use a friend’s card to get her up to the same Tier. Wide practice among friends.
If it's Cosmo, I went with my hubby and a couple friends about a year ago. The Identity desk printed off my card for all of them. (none of them gamble so it was no help for me) I don't remember how the conversation went that they knew they were all there but since I can't even get hubby to gamble on the card, it wasn't me asking for them. Pretty sure it's a non-issue there. They were drinking at the pool the whole time while I gambled for their rooms. It's hard being the only person 'working' I did give them one for when they'd pay for drinks, but they forgot to use it. When I have won a handpay, they don't even look at it. They pull the card, put theirs in and usually hand me mine. It might confuse a host if they come looking for you though. Or maybe it's just a line they use that they were going to say hi earlier, but you hop around machines a lot?
Let me add one more thing I have done a few times. Instead of sitting at that machine waiting, I sit a few machines away holding onto my card and Drivers Lic. Funny watching folks actually trying to play a machine that is locked up. Yea, I know a few will say they could claim the win. Not worried at all that some idiot would try that. They are unable to get their card to register. They are unable to put money in. They are unable to play. If it ever came to a total idiot, they would just look at the video. Have done it many times and never worried at all. One other note that reflects an earlier poster - chances of getting a handpay is pretty low anyways. I do not think I ever got one with less than $5 per spin either.
The only thing I would warn against is letting someone else use your free play. A casino would definitely be justified to deny a jackpot in that case. Not sure if there are any known cases where that has happened?
100% agree with that... though I have done it. At one casino, I was often playing on her card just enough to use the free play, and no additional play. Got a call from host saying I should not be doing that if she is not there. So, made sure she (me) played enough on her card to keep them happy. That was a year we were hitting it every 4 weeks or so and I built each of us up to high Diamond. Could have hit 7Stars if all on my card, but did not want that badge of degeneracy.
There is a reason why the casino will give you more than one card on the same account. Don't sweat it.
25+ hand pays with my wife's card in, so had progressed to the above after having attendant in AC who would not pay until my wife showed up, and another attendant who showed up with an auto generated W2G and said "you do not look like Sally", and went back to get one made up for me. So last summer hit a royal for a hand pay and did the above. The attendant demanded the card that was in the machine when the royal occurred. I must have looked perplexed as this had never happened. She explained that it was needed to update that players win/loss statement that was in the machine at the time of the royal, so pulled out my wife's card of my pocket and handed it over as well, sheepishly I might add. So, I believe I will leave the wife's card in and hand over my card and license in the future.
