Ken used an emoji. Ken doesn't use emojis. High praise indeed.

Those of us who like to tease a little and make jokes, which is quite a few of us, need to remember that this medium is not good at conveying tongue in cheek. As for the trolls, I say run 'em.

I think there are members who has colored outside the lines at one time or another.

Question is, did they do it on purpose? I believe some did not.

Yeah, warnings and punishment should be implemented to those who show patterns and signs of intentional, disruptive behavior.

Looks like members who do the "oops" every now and then unintentionally will have a mark they will never be able to clear.

Sonya, thanks to you and your staff for maintaining this site. We really appreciate your efforts. This is the best Vegas site I have found and visit it on a regular basis. We experience Vegas often throughout the year but we still learn something new from all the great comments we read on your site. Thank you!

Sorry, confused. Sonya, are you now Julia? After reading all the posts, Sonya, seems like people appreciate what you do, and are committed to following the rules in the future.

Thanks for doing what you do. I think well moderated forums are the best the internet has to offer today when it comes to anything related to "social media", and this place certainly fits that bill. This coming also from one who got "moderated" - because it IS difficult to discuss the ramifications of Nevada cannabis laws on The Strip without broaching that area of poly-ticks - but I learned also that those rules do exist for a reason, and there was a way to discuss the cannabis topic without crossing that line, as challenging as that was. The points were eventually made in a way that everyone got the picture as I understood it from being in various legal states at "launch" (as my resident state is doing right now), and without creating any other unnecessary discomforts.

I'm back with my toes in the water, as it seems likely (if past patterns are any indication) that another Halloween Phish run would be in the cards, and as my wife and I prepare for what we expect to be the final Phish and Vegas run for us for the foreseeable future. So thanks for doing what you do, as I know full well that this space will help us get the very most out of it, as it did for our trip in '17.

I have participated in several Vegas boards over the years, and so enjoy this one! It is busy, with new topics nearly every day. AND I can't thank you enough for keeping us on topic and civil. Hopefully you can get back to enjoying your work more, and not have to do so much parenting!

I have been to Las Vegas many times, but still get so much information from this board. I appreciate the efforts of Sonya and the staff very much.
Thank you very much for maintaining this site.

Sonya has always been Sonya. I used miss_sonja here until recently; changed my handle to avoid confusion with Sonya actual, who is one-and-only.

I have to say even though i've been one of the "jerks" from time to time, this is generally one of more positive and informational forums i've come across on the internet. There are is this one wildly popular travel forum (not this one) that is seriously the rudest place ever. And on another moto related forum, its politics section spilled over so badly into the general sections that is just became a troll/bot haven. Not even usable anymore.
So long and short of it Sonya, you've been doing a great job in the decade+ i've been here!

Sonja, thanks for running the best (I'll call it gambling site though it is so much more. ) I look at others some have good information, but you have to wade through all the insults and bickering to find it. This is the only one I even considered joining. I know at my age I can be uncompromising but believe me I am very open-minded although not empty headed.
I truly can't imagine what a hard job this can be. I ran some Fantasy football leagues and they could be pains and that can't be 1% of this. Thanks again.
