I actually obliged once when I had won a significant handpay on a high denom machine. I mentioned it in passing to my host, curious if this was a normal procedure. She said absolutely not, you should not be asked to play it off unless you choose to continue playing, if anyone here ever asks you to do this again, tell him/her no, get the name and let me know.

My feeble attempt at humor, however true. I call them ‘SBD’ or ‘sh*t and runners’ :evillaugh: :noangel:

Have keno and slot slammers been mentioned yet? There's just so much clenched-fist banging I can take

I wonder if that attendant worked somewhere else previously where it was required. I had one once and they said it was required. They didn't want to leave jackpot symbols left on the machine.
I think I read here too where if you didn't want to the casino would spin it off themselves.

People that play the slot buttons like piano and screen rubbers and all those weirdos are mildly annoying as is, but I've learned to deal with them. What I can't handle are the "experts":

"if you get two bonus symbols, you need to stop the reels to get the 3rd one"
"always pick your bonus symbols left to right"
"if you're losing, cash your ticket out and then put it right back in so it thinks you're a different person and you'll win"

.. and so on. All these people have all the answers yet are always playing 10-40 cents a spin, broke as hell.

Not on Video Poker but on games like WOF ect I like to mix it up.
I'll hit Max Bet or Spin (Repeat on other machines) and I sometimes
pull the handle or I'll hit 1,2,3,4,5 credits and then the Spin Button.

Button slappers are the absolute worst. It ruins the entire experience for me because all I can focus on is their annoying constant banging on the buttons. I also hate when people watch me play, it makes me uncomfortable and gives me anxiety.

Older guy sits two machines away from me and his wife (GF ?) is in the next row over. Every win over a dollar they have to lean back and yell out their win to their spouse. "Two Dollars!" "Three sixty!" "Almost Bonused, One Away" If you want to play together then SIT TOGETHER !

actually, cash ticket out and put it back in with card works majority of the time for me very well. When a machine is dead and I do that once, it usually starts waking up. If not I get off and go somewhere else or try to give it one more shot if its really busy in the casino or I defiantly change machines. That's how I know when its dead or alive.

And how does the Random Number Generator work into this?

Exactly the same way that rubbing on the screen tricks the random number generator!

Unwarranted comments and unwanted advice on how I should play from strangers...

I play Max Bet every spin. Every. Fucking. Spin.

Don't come hanging over my shoulder to tell me I should change denominations, or make comments about the amount of money wagered per spin. I'm well versed in math, and I can read the numbers on the machine, thank you very much.

If you're that concerned about my financial stability, give me a good stock tip, or fuck off.

Screen Molesters - Look lady, tapping the screen 13.5 times with your 4 inch fingernails before every spin has no effect on the RNG - this I promise you.

Ignorant celebrants - Ok, cool, you just won 11 dollars and the whole fucking casino thinks you just hit Megabucks..C'mon man...

Slot sleepers - I've done this before, so yes, I'm a hypocrite - but dude, get a room, take a party nap... Conking out at a machine is as safe as barebacking a hooker. Saw a ton of slot sleepers i AC back in October, it was weird af...

My sure fire system is much easier. Stop playing, count 1 one thousand, 2 one thousand until you reach 11 one thousand; start pushing the buttons again, voila!

But that is a gamble too... and as long as I am in a casino, what could go wrong?

Obviously you are my spirit animal. I think I shall be using your line about the good stock tip and FO in February. Love it!

Oh, can I double down on the Ignorant Celebrants? Awful. Just Awful.

People who think they're better than me because they're playing over $1 a spin and I'm playing 18 cents.

I have tried that. Does not work well for me unless I take ticket out and card and put back in. Some people though go crazy doing that, but I only do it once or twice depending. If a machine is dead its dead. Its like a computer. What I hate is when I get off a machine and someone else gets on and wins. This is why I believe in this method.
