    This.

I think any change to the gambling or players club, either better or worse, wouldn't be associated with "out of this world".

You can. Ask the host at the 4Q for a "hard comp". I do this all the time when going to Binion's Steakhouse.
Only issue is that you need to project how much you are going to spend and get the hard comp for that amount.

Good info here. I've never thought of doing this. I am out of town so only play a couple of days every 4-5 months. Even so, my comp balance is hovering near $500. Almost did Hugo's twice on a four night stay last trip. Not that there is anything wrong with that idea.....

I'm willing to bet either they are going to open more floors on the Hotel Apache or it has to do with their showroom. With The D removing their showroom it takes away some options for entertainment.

    Hi Don:

Thanks for the information. I like Hugo's Cellar, but prefer the view at Top of Binions. Now I can get a hard comp and then use the LVA 25% off coupon for Binion's steakhouse.

The slapdash showroom by the back door entrance (near the Cal) is gone and is now the T-Shirt store. Maybe they are doing something with a new showroom? But, I think most likely it's some BS related to the paranormal thing they've got going on.

That is exactly what I do. Hugo's is OK, have eaten there many many times, but The Top of Binions has better steak varieties and baked potatoes. And one can trade for more 25% off coupons.

When I was there in October, they were really playing up the haunted theme. I'm a superstitious gambler, but I was amazed at how much they were playing on people's beliefs in ghosts. I was surprised to see someone actually get the ghost hunting kit.

Maybe Binion's has teamed up with the Travel Channel, which has morphed into a channel with little or no travel and lots of shows about paranormal activity.

Gotta be more paranormal stuff, maybe another show is going to investigate or something.

Unless they're going to morph into the Stardust ...

...or bring back the Hiltons Star Trek casino..

Well that doesn’t sound very ghostly with hint number three. Somehow I don’t think they are advertising you will feel dead coming to our casino. Lol

    Star Wars or Star Trek.
Or not, maybe they are too small for that.

Maybe it’s a virtual reality thing and you see it through her eyes and hear it through her ears. Star Wars more likely than Star Trek then as it’s hot.

Going off topic, but I didn’t know you could combine a coupon with a comp. I’m planning on spending a hundred dollar food voucher from the Binion’s App in April, any chance of bundling the LVA coupon?

Reminds me of my trip to 24th floor. Wound up paying tab with Binion’s app coupon, players club comp, 25% off coupon from players club when I redeemed comp, some cash, and tip with cash. As I recall couldn’t use coupon with app voucher, so the poor guy had to split the bill in two, so was able to use the discount on the other part of the tab. Needless to say, tipped extra for the poor guy’s aggro. Didn’t have LVA coupon last year, so you may get different results.
