Love the feel of going to Vegas strip, but coming from eastern US (with no direct flight options for me) plus the time change makes it little tough to do long weekend trips bc of travel time plus time change hangover the next week at work.

What are folks favorite casino resort options closer to the east coast that have easy airport access? For example, seems like kind of a hassle to get to Atlantic City from from PHL so kind of knocks that out.

I feel your pain but there really isn't anything on the East coast with easy airport access of which I'm aware. Thankfully we can get direct flights out of RDU or CLT, which makes it a little less painful but it's still a long travel day.

Harrah's Cherokee is great but even that is a good hour from the Asheville airport through the Smoky Mountains.

Google maps says MGM National Harbor is 13 Mins from DCA airport and Encore Boston Harbor is 16 mins from BOS airport.

About as realistic as 13 minutes from DCA to MGM National Harbor.

I’m flying into Shreveport later this year - I know there are a handful of casinos there, so maybe?

    How about Horseshoe Baltimore?

Or (LOL - they tell me it's not worth the effort to go there) Resorts World Aqueduct, a stone's throw from JFK.

Along the same line, Rivers in Des Plaines, very close to O'Hare. Been there, done that, once is enough for this lifetime!

Biloxi casinos easy access from BIL airport. Here in South Florida, the Hard Rock is easy from MIA or FLL airports

Well, if you are fond of warm weather, Tampa Int'l to Seminole Hard Rock is a straight shot (10 miles, maybe 20 minutes), down 275/I-4 East. The renovations have been completed and it's about as Vegasy as The Tribe can be. Of course, if you were close personal friends with Donovan and Georgina Kensington III, you could avail yourself of Tampa Executive Airport which does offer limousine service to and from the casino, located but 4 miles distant. Ciao, tesoro!

It's not East Coast, but I go to Harrah's Kansas City a couple of times a year. Delta and Southwest both have non stops out of Boston (not sure where you are) and they are usually pretty reasonable. The casino is maybe 25 minutes from the airport, and the time difference is only 1 hour. There are also a couple other casinos a short Uber away. Kansas City BBQ is a bonus!

I always lose at Harrah's in KC, do much better at Ameristar! I don't consider them to be handy to the airport, however.

And, if you're really desperate, you can fly into Omaha-Eppley and visit the Fabulous (NOT!) Prairie Flower Casino, which is literally a few blocks away! :) :)

I edited my post because I underestimated the time to Harrah's KC. I have also done better at Ameristar, but the comps are at Harrah's :)

I also had a great (and Winning!) time at Harrah's Council Bluffs. It's just harder to find flights to Omaha from this neck of the woods.

And I forgot to mention that Encore is only about 15 minutes from the airport in Boston (depending on traffic). It is a beautiful property!

Have you been to Horseshoe or Ameristar in CB? Both of them are much larger and nicer than the local Harrah's (let alone Prairie Flower).

True. I think of Omaha as having good flights to most of the major areas, but I can't think of anything in New Hamp-sha that has a direct flight.

And, to keep on topic, both Horseshoe and Ameristar are maybe a 10 minute or so drive from the airport. :)

Forgot about that and the Harrah's is in a great location. I walked easily to Bourbon Street and the other attractions from the hotel.

Seminole Hard Rock was my first thought as well (besides AC, of course). I used to travel to Tampa for work and our office was ~25-30 minutes from the airport. Depending on what route I took, I'd pass the casino on the way in. I thought the place was huge before the latest expansion...can't imagine what it's like now.

The first thing I would do if I was you is sell the house and move to Atlanta. I lived there for a dozen years and fly Delta all the time. Delta and Jet Blue are my favorites. You can get a non-stop / round trip flight to anywhere. If you can't do that Encore Casino Boston is great. I play there often. The dealers are very good with good drink service. flights.png

If you fly to MSY you can go to Harrahs NOLA or make the easy 90~ minute drive to Biloxi and visit the handful of nice casinos there!
