Cromwell is indeed awesome for BJ. You can find DD games at Flamingo, Bally's, and Paris among others as well. I guess I'm mad that MGM continues to shove regular BJ out the door. I saw a $50 6:5 table at Aria on the weekend, for instance.

...that, and they had an entire (long) pit filled with $5 & $10 3:2 double-deck pitch, with DAS permitted.... plus great drink service & 'Big Elvis' performing in the lounge facing the pit... and that really good 24-hour "diner" that I can't remember the name of.

my wife and I still laugh about this incident one day when we were having lunch there. The waitress walked up and I said in my cheery vacation voice “how are you doing”. She replied in a gruff tone “busy, what do you want”. My wife and I looked at each other and almost started laughing at how rude it was. The waitress ended up softening up, but we talked about leaving before we ordered food out of fear of a really bad experience.

To this day, we’ll still respond to each other “busy, what do you want” after asking the other how they’re doing.

That's pretty funny. We are so conditioned with the phrase "how are you doing?", it's a little awkward to hear anything else than "fine, good, great, etc."

It’s quite jarring when you deal with some cultures, Finnish people for example give a very honest answer to that question. They really dislike where people say it without caring about the answer, they gave a big problem with the superficiality of a lot of Anglo centric (America, UK, Australia) workplaces as a result.

Personally I think less superficiality would be a good thing, but not when you’re in a service job. The standard of hospitality service in the US is literally world leading and it’d be a shame if they got a bit surly. UK customer service gave me enough aggressive disinterest for one lifetime

I only ate there maybe 4 or 5 times, but never had bad service or a bad experience. I suspect y'all had a "one-off" there...pretty sure that was not the 'norm'.

Let's just say that Norm is the kind of guy I seem to run into when I become a 'regular' at any bar... & I'm pretty sure others there think of me as being 'Norm-like' as much as I do them!

I don't think I have ever seen a CET slot/or VP machine forbid FP use. So I would think you probably could.

Unless something has changed, the DD at The Cromwell is no DAS and no LS.

No they are gone according to @The Rumor . But there are some favorable VP paytables on the aristocrat units they've installed.

Cromwell DD is no das and no surrender
I don't know any DD in Vegas with surrender unless it's in a high limit pit somewhere
