Is this old news? Yesterday (Friday, 12/13) I was looking for a $5 table downtown. Had trouble finding one with an opening. Found one at the Cal and was about to sit down when I noticed it was 6/5, not 3/2. I didn't know Boyd was doing this too.

That's probably why there was an opening ar the table. Did u try Fremont?,They always seem to have lots of BJ tables and I've only seen 3-2

I’ve seen 6/5 at DTG but that was at the pool deck.

I should have added that the 6/5 table at the Cal was the only $5 table. Makes me wonder if that's where Boyd is going with the low limit tables.

I ended up at the Golden Gate, which had no seats open the first time I walked through. They still have good 3/2 $5 blackjack. DTG has 3/2 for $5 most days, but they use continuous shufflers. I'm not a counter, but I do keep loose track of runs of high and low cards.

Real sorry to hear that. Are you sure it wasn't single deck? Some players seem to think single is worth giving up 3:2, which of course, it isn't.

It was dealt from a shoe. Table wasn't full. I think those Hawaiians are savvy gamblers!

The Tez has 3/2 single deck and usually, I can get a seat within 15 minutes. If it is not a weekend night

OOPS, I was thinking of main street, but also don't recall any 6/5 Cal tables:

Only know of the single deck there being 6:5.
Was it the end table, across from the roulette table?
New table or temporary "Rodeo special"?
Hope it stays empty and goes away.

Interesting GG had a $5, they were all min $10 on Thursday.
    (took a 10 in a row nosedive losing streak, if I didn't bust, she'd draw to 21)

This would be a disheartening turn of events.

The Cal had 1 $5 table that was 6/5 when we were there last Oct. It was empty and I sat down. The dealer was nice enough to ask me if I knew it was 6/5. I thanked her and moved to another table.

Definitely a few 6/5 tables at MSS. Not all $5 are 6/5, but there are some. And they are just as full as the 3/2 tables.

Just back from the Cal. The 6:5 table was a 6 or 8 deck shoe. It was near end of the table games next to roulette and close to escalator. Didn’t look to see if DAS, just kept walking.

ALL of the regular $5 and $10 and $25 DD are still in place!!
