    My Trip Report

We are leaving tomorrow for a Western Caribbean cruise.... going on Norwegian Breakaway. I was afraid we were going to have to cancel because my husband had some health issues, but it worked out and we can go. I was able to bid on an upgrade so we have a Spa Mini-Suite Balcony room.... I am packed and ready ... can't wait until tomorrow.

I always make a bid for that upgrade but evidently never enough. How much did you have to bid to win that suite? Oh, I just got home from Panama Canal on NCL-Pearl and will be taking the NCL-Dawn transatlantic next Spring. Love cruising!

    I hope you're having/had a great time, @nancyf!
Was Grand Cayman one of your ports of call?
    I love that place!

Looks like you'll be back in MyHammy tomorrow (12/14). How was the cruise?

We've sailed Escape and loved her. We're booked aboard Bliss March 1st, but I may be starting a new job and have to cancel. Good thing we have Trip Insurance!

My bid was total $250... I saw the prices had gone down so that was in my favor :)

yes, Grand Cayman was one of the ports - we were going to do Stingray City but we canceled and stayed on the ship because of hubby's recent health issues..

We had a fabulous time... the weather was perfect everyday... we spent every day at the pool... We didn't get off the ship at any ports which was fine with me because I am all about sea days and the ship... music, talking to people, drinks... yeah, fun! We saw 2 fabulous shows - Six and Velvet... Six was about the six wives of Henry the VIII... and Velvet was a dinner show with all disco singing and dancing and some acrobats also... We went to 2 speciality diners - Le Bistro - a french restaurant and Ocean Blue - a seafood restaurant. We had a nice room - but the second day we were there, we got a notice that they were changing our room because of construction on our balcony - so we had to pack everything back up and they then moved us to a similar room on the other side of the ship - now we were under the pool deck and guess what? they start setting the loungers up around 4:30 AM... haha - we heard every chair being drug across the deck... oh and they gave us $100 onboard credit for the inconvenience of moving. We played in the casino every night for a short time and gave the money to them except the last night - Friday the 13th was lucky! I played some slot I didn't even know the name of and hit a bonus for $177... then played another slot called Fortune Spinner where my first spin gave me $750 -- and then a tornado slot that I cashed out at $118..long story short I cashed my ticket in for $901... I really had a great cruise --- and will post some pictures in the next post.

That’s a HUGE bathroom for a ship! Sounds like the upgrade was worth it.

Can you share details of the itinerary? Stops?

Glad you enjoyed. It was a great time to be cruising there. Just returned yesterday from a 14-nighter on NCL Dawn. Biggie for us was a partial canal transit. Weather was phenomenal. We only upgraded to balcony (cruising low rollers LOL). Cannot wait for the next one.
