Have been having a little trouble with youtube and uploading video direct from my cell phone, but finally got a couple of the clips I took during Aerosmith show on 11/26 to load up. I'll try and add some photos and a write-up on my thoughts on that before I forget and or this thread is locked, but here's some of the video I took.

In case I slack on that, my summary is, it was a lot better than I thought it would be. I had kind of low expectations but it was good enough I'd consider seeing it again at $110 per seat I paid. They phoned it in here and there and I dont blame them for it, but when they didn't, the music and especially the singing, was so much better than I expected after all these years.

The meal at Le Crique looked like it was pretty epic! And that video of dessert, so cool. Thanks for sharing that!
And thanks for the Aerosmith videos. I've always been kind of off again, on again with them. Love some of their stuff, not so much on others.

That's exactly how I feel about them, and about half their show was much less commercially successful/ popular stuff and cover tunes, but the visual show and relaitivy high quality musicianship made it somewhat entertaining even on the songs I dont like. Some of my favorites by them weren't played though, and never have been during the residency. They change the cover songs and add or omit from a small group of mostly hits of their own from night to night so that they play about 15 to 17 per night of a selection of about 24 or 25. I think we got 17 songs total, including 2 covers and 5 or 6 originals for which I dont care too much.

That would be great! And I'm not 100% sure, but there may be a convertible Ferarri or a McLaren involved in my July TR.

Ok, sort of wrap up here, because I keep neglecting my poor TRs once I get home, and I'm going to share some numbers because I know from some comments in comp threads here and there that a lot of folks are curious about this stuff and I rarely see any of it shared.

Cosmo, again, other than the shirt debacle, treated me very well for someone with so little history. Mighty nice to get put up on floor 69 of boulevard tower at my request on the fountain side without a host. I also had room options and the terrace studio was actually the cheapest of the options I was presented. I kind of negotiated I'd take the cheapest room if they gave me the highest floor and the beat view, and they surely didnt disappoint there.

I was there for only a little over 36 hours and did not gamble at all on check out day. Ended up earning just about exactly 3,400 tier points there. The room was free plus resort fees and I only got points credited for a half price wicked Spoon and our tapas at China pablano. I bought lunch at lardo's and they asked for my card but nothing there showed up in my activity. So 800 or 900 points were from spend, the rest gaming. I dont recall exact numbers but after a good first day, I left down somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,000

Bally's, I think I said it all about the room. It was awesome, but also an awesome disappointment if you know my other options. I paid $160 per night for 2 nights and $181 for Thanksgiving night. That's not bad, but I had the Jubilee Premium Suite offered to me for $79 a night for the same nights. Its larger, has a better view, and a whirlpool tub. I only paid more because I wanted the upstairs bedroom, which I didnt get, and because it was advertised at the time, as having a whirlpool tub, which I also didnt get. In addition to having the option of the larger nicer room for less than half the price, I had Octavius at Caesar's available for $0.00 out the door and although smaller, is on a nicer property and actually has a better bathroom than what we got. So in that sense, I feel a little scammed by false advertising, but am not too salty about it because of how little I paid relatively. They sent me a survey and I ripped them a new one over how the room is advertised as "stairway leads to your secluded upstairs bedroom" and about how makeshift rigged the room was. I didnt hear anything back from them at this point, and I dont expect to. My bill out the door from Ballys was a few bucks under $600.

Anyhow, gambling in the caesars empire was pretty harsh on me as well, and as bad and as fast as I was losing, I had a couple sustained runs in high limit that obtained much more TC than I thought. I earned a little over 4,100 TC and had no charges to my room, and no spend on the card except my $11 at Bachannal, so that's all gaming (hotel TC havent hit yet). I got no bonus emails but I know at least 1k of that was a 1k bonus. I'm pretty sure I got most of my TC in that one day and that's why I didnt see other bonuses, still not 100% sure on the breakdown except that I know I made diamond plus on gaming TC while I was still there, and thought I wouldn't quite cross that threshold without the hotel credits.

Again didnt write down where I was at daily, but my best estimate is Inwas down about $2,800 on the trip from gaming, give or take about $100. I know I lost exactly $3,320 of bankroll but I paid $320 at Le Cirque out of my gaming bankroll, plus one or two cheaper incidentals here and there, plus at least $100 in service related tips, some of which also came out of the gamble bankroll when that was more convenient.

Aerosmith was better than I thought.

Bouchon was on the very good side of good. But maybe not great. The service was great. Food I dunno. It was pretty good but they had a tough job serving me the night after Le Cirque.

My dinner at Le Cirque was my favorite part of the trip. And the gambling and drinking and being social the last couple nights.

I was so sad about not returning until the 4th of July that I have already booked a room at Planet Hollywood, got show tickets, and bought non refundable airfare for a quick 3 day weekend in April, and I'm really excited about that!

Next stop, Bahamas! See ya in the non-Vegas TR section in a little over 2 weeks.

    Loved tour TR!
Question-how long was dinner? I’m seriously considering Le Cirque for the night I take my Sweetie to a Cirque show but show starts at 7pm at NYNY.

It could have been a little faster or a little slower, but I was just discussing this last night trying to figure out if I had time for Bazaar Meat before an 8:00 show, so I happen to have gone through my metadata and time stamps and determined we left Le Cirque almost exactly 1 hour 45 minutes after our reservation time, for which we showed up less than 5 minutes early and were seated immediately. Good enough estimate for ya? :feedme:

Edit - by could have been faster or slower, I mean based on the fact that we polished off most of the courses quick and were served the next item quick, but lagged out on the main course because with the filet and chicken were pretty substantial and I dont think got finished. And they gave us a while before bothering us. Still though, I'd say budget 2 hours just in case service isn't identical to what we got. They dont open until 5:00 so I'd think its cutting it too close for a 7pm show at NYNY.

I will say though, that they asked us at check in if we had any dietary restrictions or time constraints. They can probably have you out in 90 minutes or less if you have a 5:00 reservation and tell them ahead of time. I'd just recommend going when you have plenty of time to live in the moment and not worry about time. We got 9:00 show tickets that night for exactly that reason, so we took our sweet ass time at dinner and after, then went back to Ballys for a drink or two before heading to Rio and it was perfect.

    Very useful data!

If we take a Lyft to NYNY, should have enough time!

Now to tackle the “business elegant” dress code with carry on only plane fares!

I am glad you got your shirt back! I once left my favorite shirt behind on night one of a 3 week trip and the hotel did not find it in the bathroom. When I got home, I went to the laundromat and when I took my clothes out of the washing machine, there it was! So it was in my suitcase the entire time and I am just a blundering idiot.

Good call on booking a trip in April. Waiting until July is just not okay.

I agree! And right now, April seems way too far away! I can't wait for that! I have 3 non Vegas trips between now and then and was only able to make April spontaneously because it will only cost me 1 day off work and I got a decently cheap flight, in relative terms considering my airport is apparently the most expensive one anywhere.

The good news about losing all that money gambling is I'm going during NAB convention and was still able to get a few decent rooms comped. Still considering paying a nominal fee to move over to Caesars Palace just for a larger room and the jetted tub, but either way, I'm pretty stoked to have a few free room choices in town that weekend that arent Rio, and I got some free show tickets in addition to the diamond vouchers too, so I pretty much had to book it. Unfortunately flying American but I dont even care; I just cant wait to go back!

Just wanted to share this. Pretty ridiculous hold rate. This is about 30 to 60 minutes of play, and last time I played at Excalibur (only other time I've played there), it went similarly except I hit 2 progressive jackpots on monopoly hot shot right before leaving to recoup about 60% of my losses then quit and left because of how bad a beating I was taking. I do not like it Sam I am.

    Screenshot_20191204-125850_Chrome.jpg

Also, got more data in from CET and my hotel TC. Looks like I ended up with 6,982 TC total in 3 days including bonuses and hotel room spend. I was worried about potentially barely missing diamond plus for next year but overshot it by more than 3500 TC :D
