Interesting thread as my two usual plays in AC are Harrah's and Ocean. I usually concentrate on Harrah's and after earning 25,000 RC move my play over to Ocean. Played a bit extra at Ocean this year only to be told in Sept that my level has been lowered to Platinum. They even made me get a platinum card in mid-Sept. I was going to drop them but yesterday I went online to check my comp balance and the site said I was Black. What kind of games is Ocean playing?

I have heard that some players are getting upgrades to Black, I don’t know if there is a rhyme or reason for that. Black gets you and a guest into the Chairman Lounge, so let the Manhattan’s flow.

I don't know but I'm black too, which makes me VERY happy. It looks like their new system upgraded folks who qualified as Platinum the year prior. I'll be honest, their system is a little annoying...but I get VIP check-in and comped resort fees regardless of status. So, the only thing I'd lose out on are the player's lounges -- which I never use lol

Yes. Black at Oceans makes a big difference. You save the $35/nt resort fee. You get the special check-in which saves you the big line. And the lounges can be great. The lounge in the HL room has some exceptional bites along with a top tier bar selection. They offer a charcuterie plate that would easily cost $25+ at any other bar if ordered off a menu, very good mini sandwiches and, at times, fantastic peel and eat shrimp (large, not soggy but meaty) or oysters Rockefeller...all delicious. The main lounge can be hit or miss.

Stayed there mid week a month ago and did not know they had anything like a lounge. Where is it located?
I'm going back this weekend and will hit the lounge. They upgraded me to Black so I'm really looking forward to it.
Does it work like Borgata where they hit you for so many ECs?

If you're black (noir) the lounges are completely free for you and one guest. If you're grey (platinum) they charge $10comp for you to enter and another $10comp for one guest.
    Ocean has 2 lounges.

The smaller lounge is in the back part of the HL slot room. The HL slot room is located next to the security desk and the cashier's cage. They have a bar and a second room with seating and put out some exceptional bar apps. This smaller lounge is not always open. I believe the hours are Thu-Sun or there abouts.

The larger lounge is located near the Top Golf play. Again, free for black card holders. Also a great bar with great top shelf liquors but the food can be hit or miss.

The smaller lounge alone makes the black card experience among the best in the business
