I’ve stayed at Days Inn at Wild Wild West Gambling Hall. Thankfully my tetanus and hepatitis shots were up to date

Due to the "never again" aspect of the title, I expected to read some posts with awful horror stories of things that drove people away for good. In reality, many of the posts I see here involve small things that I'd shrug off, or would never bother me.

I haven't stayed at a hotel in Vegas that I would refrain from returning to. I've only stayed at 5 different hotels in my 8 trips, 3 times at NYNY. I'm not too picky.

The only hotel I wouldn't return to was in Calgary. We landed in Calgary at 2:00am after a 4 hour delay at the airport in Vegas and decided we didn't want to drive the 2 hours to get home. We found a hotel that was inexpensive for a one night stay and was near the airport. It was terrible. The bed mattress had a huge slump in the middle, the toilet clogged and the place was just very seedy. We complained and all they would do was give us something really insulting like $5 off the night. It was $120 for the night, even though we arrived after 2:00am and were leaving before 7:00am.

That is the one Las Vegas casino/hotel that I would hesitate booking after seeing the rooms walking past and the prostitute / drug activity on the intersection.

A friend of mine who is a trucker has stayed there several times. He has described it as "skanky" among other things.

A while back, I heard that Station had bought the place and intended to re-do it. I guess that project is on the back burner.

Park MGM if they don't fix the room layout. The TV is 90 degrees from the bed.

I guess after many trips over many years, I have kind of a routine that I enjoy. Spending some time in the room early and late are part of this, as well as being able to run up and fix another drink if I wish. The Linq really made this difficult for me....even Golden Nugget Carson was pretty accessible because I never waited for the elevators. But.....people Vegas differently so yay that there are spots for everyone!

Harrahs. Found the beds pretty sucky when we were there in March.
    Westagte. The rooms suck now..

I don't see much momentum for another stay at Planet Hollywood. It was our "go to" for our first 4-5 trips to Vegas, but we've moved on. Nothing horrible happened there other than more losing than winning, but that happens in most casinos!

It is hard for us to have a real "never" because we have not had the experiences many of you have had. Rio (off the strip but close) was fine for a night or two, but would have to be remodeled and updated to be in the running for a stay. We kind of liked the Tropicana but won't turn down free rooms elsewhere to stay there. Luxor is great for our family trips since I am paying for a lot of rooms but it doesn't move the needle for just the two of us. We liked TI but it didn't like us back. Encore was great but it isn't good enough for us to give up a free room at Aria at this point.

Our lack of variety in hotel experience shows...so many of you have much worse stories to tell!!

I would never stay at Excalibur or Harrahs again. Excalibur has just gotten very dirty and run down, and Harrahs has gotten too loud (or maybe I'm getting old, lol)

I'd say NYNY, Flamingo, Excalibur, MGM Grand and Planet Ho.
And I would never even consider staying at Circus Circus.
But I'm on a quest to stay at as many places on the strip as I can
for at least 1 night. So far I've stayed at 18 Resorts.

I have never stayed at Linq/Quad/Imperial Palace or Barbary Coast/Bill's Gambling Hall/Cromwell but have seen the rooms back in the day. Recent pictures of the rooms look better but to me it's more of a lipstick on a pig comparison to the past. Too many other options for cheap rooms that are better than the Linq or higher end alternatives that for the same price are better than the Cromwell. Regardless of room upgrades, a small room is still a small room.

    Interesting angle.

I havent had a hotel experience so bad that I have blacklisted a place. Closest was IP, but I have stayed at Linq since it was redone.

But I am unlikely to stay at South Point again, simply because I now have access to way more discounts or comps at better locations.

    Harrahs.

Not a fan of the casino. Low ceilings, weird layout, kinda dirty overall. Stayed here for a wedding.
    Will not be back.

The "Old" Sahara during it's later years. There was some big conventions in town and the place was book solid, so I got stuck with a smoking room in their oldest tower which was a dump. Luckily, I was only staying there for that one night and moving to the Monte Carlo the next day for the remainder of my trip. The Monte Carlo didn't have a room for that particular night and the Sahara was one of the cheapest options at the time. LOL

The worst I ever stayed at on the strip was Tropicana pre renovation in what I believe they called a garden room. The worst hotel I have ever stayed at was Wild Wild West... I probably shouldve just slept in my car in the parking lot. The whole room was infested with something.
