And yet I always get a funny look because I go into the HL room to do my single spin of the wheel with whatever was in my coin jar (in notes obv :p)

I’ll take the the better odds thanks

just for odds completion, from my warm up thread,
Kind of want to check out the new Plaza party pit and let P play some of that halved
single zero roulette (2.7% HA vs. double zero 5.26%), triple zero 7.69%.

Plaza also has as good a blackjack game you can find in the area in their party pit.
Good rules, low minimums ($5 Friday night) fun dealers, and the never ending parade of people on the other side of the glass windows.

That’s why I send my wife. I can’t find any of that stuff and don’t know the right terminology anyway.

I'm sold that the casinos pay someone to play at the tables with worse odds to make it more enticing for people to join.

The number of times I've sat at an empty 3:2 table when the 6:5 tables next to it were packed is too high to count.

I think that can simply be explained by the fact that "Hey, 6 is more than 3, that table pays more!"

"Shills" used to really be a thing... I remember in the old days that casinos had to post signs that announced their use of shills on the casino floor.

    Yea I still think it's a thing.

I get it (even if the math may say otherwise) when it's a $10 6:5 table that's packed next to an empty $25 3:2 table - but I've literally sat down at an empty $15 3:2 next to two packed $15 6:5 tables.

Makes zero sense - and only someone who never made it out of 3rd grade would purposefully choose the 6:5 over 3:2 table because they think the payout is bigger.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve referred to an answer for the simplest math or science question with “Well surely you remember in 5th grade science class when you discussed friction or gravity or both” or “You must recall fractions converted into decimals and vice-versa....”. But they don’t. Most just remember getting to go to fourth grade or whatever was next in the sequence of life. It is very sad. BUT wait until you see spelling after 20 years of spellcheck.

Sometimes people choose the table based on the vibe so I can't blame anyone there. Some tables just feel more lively and people are willing to get a smaller payout.

I'm still not convinced there isn't a magnet in those games.

Roulette is so boring for the house edge. Even with the single zero. I can hardly play 3-4 spins just to try it each time, but just don't get any fun out of it.

Craps and blackjack on the other hand...

It is a slow paced game that if the drink service is good and you are betting the minimum, you can get a nice buzz without losing your butt!

Uh oh. The house edge wasn't enough? I wonder how it compares to triple 0??
