This Year I'm thankful for 2 nights at Cosmo and 3 at Bally's 11/24 - 11/29

Oof...I think I'm bringing 2 full size suitcases for the first time ever, anywhere. I'm a little embarrassed, but hey, the weather forecast is warm, cold, in between, and raining or not raining. I already eliminated some shoes, but I have my luggage set about 90% full and there isnt any underwear, jeans, tshirts, undershirts etc in either of them yet. So I think I need to trade the oversized carry-on for a legit suitcase.

 

Dog. Poor dog. He loves his dog sitter though. And food.

 

Shoes. A couple wont make the cut due to packing room.

 

Necessities. Packed.

There is no way those are not going. Vegas is the only place I can get away with those! I bought them special for this trip and they have never been worn. I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that I'm just going to bring two full size suitcases so I dont have to play advanced tetris and make more cuts from the roster. With two full suitcases, I can bring another suit, all the shoes, more casual clothes, an extra jacket, and still have room to bring home a pile of cash, because that always happens right?!? With what Delta charged for this flight, it only makes sense to fully utilize the checked bag allotment.

 

Me too! Got to slum it at Cosmo for a couple days first. Now that I've moved in to the 21st century and got an Android phone, hopefully I can post video to youtube.

Also, you reminded me of a funny joke I heard the other day. Got an email offer for e-standby upgrade to the penthouse suite listed as the same size for just over $4,000 after taxes on top of what I'm already paying...alleged to be a $900 saving! No thanks! (That room was available for about $375 a night when I reserved mine)

I wouldn't know. I originally booked my room for Tuesday night. Then I was checking out details on the buffet and it said open 6 days a week closed Tuesdays, so literally because of just that, I cancelled my reservation and made a new one for wednesday, but by the time I got there, they changed to then being open 5 nights a week, closed Tuesday and Wednesday, so they weren't open at any time during my stay. The sort of ok news is I got a large pizza from pizzeria uno for dinner free and didnt spend a cent in my entire time at the property. I did enjoy my stay. The buffet *looked* like it would have been awesome. I'll catch it next year if I dont skip the time share.

 

Well I'm definitely going to Caesar's Palace while I'm there, and if I see her, I promise I will get a pic. I did not get one my last trip because we almost fought, twice. It was the one time I ever actually tried to find security at Caesar's and of course the one time I actually want them I couldn't find one. Anyhow, she looked pretty much exactly like this, and I'm somewhere around 95% sure she was a biological female at birth.

Update- it's almost 3AM in these parts, and 2 large suitcases are packed, almost full. Not looking forward to lugging them around but fortunately I shouldnt have to carry them too far except at Cosmo and they both roll. Might pay someone else to do it for the first time ever lol. We'll see. I replaced my normal carry-on duffle with a smaller backpack so I can wear it instead of carry it so that will help.

So, quick rundown, dont have a lot of real concrete plans but tomorrow, get settled, gamble, drink, eat something I havent had at Cosmo probably. Drinks eat, gamble more. Slim possibility we may catch Andrew Dice Clay at Trop if tickets are available and we arent ready to pass out by then. Starts at 1AM eastern time and may be too ambitious on travel day from Florida.

Monday - I have a stack of MyVegas rewards to use. All day roller coaster pass for NYNY that needs to be used by Tuesday at the latest due to holiday blackouts, so probably do that Monday. Also may go check out titanic exhibit while down south, have the BOGO for that. And if whatever time of day I get there they still have $5 craps at excel or Luxor then I'm definitely all over that for a while. Other than a trip south, Monday will be mostly gambling and eating at Cosmo probably. Also have BOGO aria buffets for lunch and dinner so may use one of those while close, but there are so many places I really want to eat, I wont go wait in line there.

Tuesday, moving day, they have me for noon arrival at Bally's but who knows what time we'll get in the room. Last time CP had me down for a noon arrival in a suite, it was ready at 3:55 PM. Wont waste my 4 hours waiting if it's not ready. I'll go to any non CET property and gamble until I get in the room. Probably Bachannal for dinner if I havent had it yet by then, and Aerosmith that night.

Wednesday, tour de CET degenerating, dinner at Le Cirque. May have one seat open in my reservation at 5:15 if any of you solo types is interested in joining us. Let me know.

Thursday more CET degeneracy, possibly wax museum if it's open and the free admission isnt blacked out. Have reservations at Hells Kitchen and Bouchon that day. Will introduce my friend to the swankiest joint with a best western on the strip on the way to or from venetian.

Friday I will continue to degen if I have any money left. Hopefully I will. Maybe I'll check out the Bucca did Beppo grand slam buffet. Then I leave for the airport around noon and get post Vegas depression.

Somewhere in the mix I hope to hit Konbea belt sushi restaurant for AYCE lunch, and Bachannal is a must for me at some point, and hopefully also wicked spoon but waiting to hit sterling so I can BOGO it. I'm over half way already and shouldnt be a problem getting that in my first couple days. I have about $1000 per day bank roll.

Oh yah and at some point I'll get some diamond tickets for something somewhere. Depends what's available. Whew sounds like a lot and so little time. I leave for the airport in about 7 hours now give or take, so hopefully I can get some sleep now! Deuces!

If a buffet is not open 7 days a week, it can't be that good. Honestly, this might be the first casino that I've heard of who closes the buffet on select days. Many casinos have shitty buffets, but they are still open every day. Lol
