When I was in Vegas last time at Bally's I learned I could go to any bar, show my Diamond card and grab whatever drink I wanted.

Does this occur at Rio as well more specifically the bar in the sports book.

I also heard one of tge reasons is that Bally's lacked a Laurel Lounge. I just don't know if thats true or not.

I'll be at the Rio on November 1st and will let you know. I spend a lot of time at the sports book bar. I love the bartenders.

End of Sept. Trip I Did this at Bally's, Paris and Planet Hollywood. Supposed to be one per bar/day but only one guy actually scanned my card, the rest just checked it against ID. Think we had 7-8 one night walking from Bally's back to the Cosmo.

Thanks for your replies. I look forward to hearing what you find out at the Rio at the end of the month.

I tried the Rio, not the sportsbook but the bar to the right after walking in the main entrance. I was told no by the bartender yet she could have been new and didn't yet know the perk. I would try again but wouldn't be disappointed if told no again. Linq is the only other place I've been told no. PH, Paris, Ballys and the Cromwell have all said yes and I'm 99% sure CP did as well yet I can't exactly remember (ha ha).

Well...I asked CR via email if they could provide a list of bars that provide free drinks when not playing for diamond/7* and it was a pretty disappointing answer (lol).

"We appreciate your interest in visiting us. Complimentary drinks are not guaranteed at our bars. I can suggest asking at the bar of your interest when visiting our locations. You are also welcomed to stop by our Laurel Lounges for drinks. Please let us know if we can assist you with anything further."

Problem with the Lounges is I usually travel to Vegas on the weekends whent he lounges can sometimes be packed where even getting a single drink to go can take a while.

I just asked the bartender at the sports bar. They do not comp drinks for diamonf Members but can offset, waters, soda, and juice.
I received free drinks last night at Bally’s lobby bar and Sully’s.

Thank you for your reply. I'll probably go watch at Bally's instead since I have about two dozen old drink tickets from their book and rhey usually let me use rhem.

Thanks again for getting back to me.

I'll give a recap on where I was able to use my diamond card for free drinks. I used it a lot.

    Gustav's at Paris

Heart bar and the bar by the entrance from the strip. PH

Sully's, Lobby bar, and the bar off to the right when you walk into Bally's. Sully's comped me three drinks at once.

The center bar at the Linq did three times but on the fourth time the bartender said no, the sports bar and the other bar near the tiny stage also comped drinks.

    Harra's was a no.

The center video poker bar at Cromwell comps drinks but Bound in the back does not.

    Flamingo's center bar comps drinks

The center bar at Rio, I bar maybe, gave out drinks. Shutters did once and said no the other time.

The bartenders at the sports book sounded surprised when I told them about the center bar comping a drink. They said they'd get in trouble if they did. They were happy to provide two fijis at a time.

None of the bars scan players cards so I was able to go back later in the day when a new shift started.

I'll be back again over Thanksgiving and will

Do you need to be playing a machine at the bar? Or you just walk up show your diamond card and they give you a free drink? Thanks.

Thank you for these names and clarifying locations! This will totally help my trip next week :D

Seriously though, friend and I tried for comped drinks at the Cromwell Bound bar because I didn't know what bar comped there - and now I know!

I feel like this reward is inconsistent and based upon who’s working. I have experienced changing comps at same bars with different bartenders.

I just walked up to the bar with my ID and diamond card and asked if they comped drinks. No play was necessary. One bartender said I could get one for my brother too if I put $20 in the machine. He said we didn't have to play.

They just check your ID to make sure it matches the diamond card, I don’t remember any scanning

Between PH/Paris/Ballys, it's say about the 3rd of the time they scan and when they do they give you a $0.00 receipt to sign. Just guessing here, if you look relatively sober, are polite, aren't asking for a complex mixed drink that takes them five minutes to make and you tip, I believe that are your best odds for not getting scanned. With that being said, I did all of that above and paris did scan me.
