4 nights at Wynn a bad idea?

So I have been working the Wynn app now for about 5 months and now have enough gems for my 4 night stay in March. I am definitely the person who likes to move around from casino to casino as I just like to keep moving and seeing all of what Vegas has to offer on any given night. I walk a lot when in Vegas but as the night goes on is when I like to move the most and now am concerned that I am too far away from everything. Last trip was at the Palazzo and to me it was fine but definitely wish it was closer to mid strip.

I have offers that I could stay 2 nights somewhere else for only the cost of the resort fee. I am traveling with a friend and I really don't care what he says as his room is costing him next to nothing(with me)

Should I just stick with my 4 nights at the Wynn and use Uber to get back from mid strip or should I book another hotel for a couple nights and either have two different rooms, or worst case I can have it until a few days before I go and can cancel it?

Other hotels I can get comped (except resort fees) and listed in order of preferred accomodations
    Paris
    Planet Hollywood
    Park MGM

I find changing hotels even once to be a much bigger pain in the ass than booking Ubers as needed, but I guess it's a question of personal taste.

Think I would get to about 40 before it would be too many nights at the Wynn :D

All down to personal preference, and how much/little of an annoyance moving is.

4 nights at Wynn for free sounds delightful. I’d gladly Lyft everywhere if that was my home base!

I think 4 nights at the Wynn sounds amazing and the Uber is well worth the cost if you need to go anywhere! Plus walking :)

I get how you’re feeling, as sometimes Wynn feels a bit far, but I agree with others that 4 free nights is a bit hard to pass up. Consider doing some pit stops on the way home, like at Palazzo and Mirage to break things up. You could also venture north from there to see changes at Sahara and Strat. Just a thought.

The resort fee is more than 2 round trip uber rides, and you'd need one uber ride to switch hotels.

Plus a 24 hour bus pass could be made to suit for the better part of 2 days, get you anywhere on the strip or downtown and cost 8 bucks.

Then there is the matter that Wynn s gem value is likely to continue to decline or face new restrictions, so best used promptly.

You should do as you like, I'm just saying that if the sole worry is distance from mid strip, there are easy solutions.

I'd take the chance to stay at Wynn for 4 nights for free for sure. We agree that being centre strip is where the action is and is also our preference but as has been mentioned for the resort fees alone mid-strip you can easily Uber centre strip and stagger back to Wynn making a few pit stops along the way.

I had the Wynn for a few nights and had the same problem. It was 100 in June. Long hot walk. But I was very happy to Uber or Lyft to mid strip. I had the driver take me to stage door (about 6 to 8 bucks). It was a 3 or 4 minute drive since it took the back roads. Very convenient. I loved the Wynn and would be doing this again. Plus you have a $300 room plus no resort fees!!! For 4 nights!!! That's like $1450 savings. Just Uber and Lyft

For me....Wynn ! I suppose it depends how much you value that feeling of being made to feel special and the excellent service, but It seems like you would be saving money too ! (Just keep away from the minibar with no prices :)

I feel similar in regards to the location of Wynn, it's a little out of the way. But, what I like about the free room via the Wynn game is the no obligation to play at Wynn to any level to keep up 'comps'. If you use a comp somewhere you may feel more obligated/restricted to play more at that casino.
You say you like to casino hop... I'm the same. I'd say stay at Wynn and casino hop from there. Palazzo/Venetian is next door on the way to Casino Royale which is next to Harrahs, then Linq, and now you are mid-Strip. TI, Mirage, the Caesars Palace on the other side on your way to mid-Strip. In your situation I'd most likely walk to mid-Strip casino hopping all the way there then at the end of the night if walking back seems like a trek just Uber/Lyft then.
The amount you'd be spending on Uber/Lyft from Wynn to mid-Strip even if you did it both ways every day would probably be close to the cost of paying a resort fee for 2 nights. But I can guarantee wherever you would book those 2 comp nights mid-Strip would not compare to the Wynn room.
Take advantage of the 5 months of work on the Wynn app. This is what you put all that time into the game for :)

I would do the four nights and not look back. It is such a nice place...if we did not get free rooms at Aria, it would be my top choice at the right place. I never stick to one casino. Home base is just that--home base...I go downtown and to other strip casinos every trip.

Enjoy whatever you decide to do!

$35 more a night to stay at Park freaking MGM. LOL, I think the universe answered this question for you.

What @JRRestoule said....This will be our first stay at the Wynn, 5 nights beginning Thanksgiving day, 2 for me on the Wynn app +3 for MrsDrp, and I am so looking forward to not having that 'comped room feeling'. I believe every trip we've ever taken (40+?) other than the first one, has been comped and although we always venture out *some* to other owned properties, we always have that feeling that we need to 'earn' our next comped visit where we are staying (CET). This time, we'll be venturing to TI, the Venetian, and some MGM properties and giving some serious play at those places...never know what sort of new things might come along after that....

We hate switching hotels, so 5 nights in a slightly off center strip property doesn't bother us at all.

Yeah, I don't get what Wynn is thinking with giving so many people who aren't going to play or eat at the Wynn free rooms...I'd take advantage of this while you can tbh. It's arguably the nicest property on the strip. And, while Vegas seems to be doing well, I would not bank on this promotion lasting much longer. They're effectively lowering their ADR

The problem with soliciting feedback on this type of decision is just about all of the people responding will have different preferences than you do regarding moving vs staying multiple nights at the Wynn. Only you really can make the best decision for yourself based on your values.

I hope you like walking, walking up the driveway at wynn is one of the most aggravating things I've ever done. Considering how connected everything else is.

Based on what you are describing, I would definitely go with Paris. The only place more "mid-strip" than that is Ballys and they are connected to each other, so --- I'm the same way and love to casino hop all those interconnected casinos from Paris down through Harrahs.

And I get what you mean. Everytime I go to the Venetion/Palazzo, I just feel so isolated from everything. I've actually never even made it down to the Wynn because of how far away it feels.

I also like the idea of maybe casino hopping down towards midstrip from Wynn and then ubering back at night, that way you are only having to do it one way.
