Pallet Jack Cruiser ipa from Dior County Brewing. Bought it because the artwork and I used to race pallet jacks semi professionally at my first job out of high school.

Not sure at all about this one. Tastes good but not sure if it is pleasing to the eye.

    Local: good city brewing
    Spare Time hazy IPA

since more and more casinos(CET) are not carrying seagrams 7 any longer we've changed to from 7 and 7 to Crown and seven. I'm kinda glad as it's a smoother drink, and I know I'm getting name brand when you ask for it instead of some low grade blended whisky given in alot of 7 and 7s. Their policy change results in costing them much more in liquor in my case and the rest of the valley too as it's now what we ask for in most Distills or other local bar we're in when we're playing bar top.

edit: it's costing me more at home too since we switched. 14.99 for Seagram 7 (1.75) and Crown is 21.99 (750 ml).

Have recovered from the FOBAB weekend, awesome event I attend twice each year (Friday night volunteer, Saturday night free attendee) featuring over 400 barrel aged beers over 12 styles. Highly recommended if you like the style and can get to Chicago. Many brewers send reps and select beers to local bars and breweries during FOBAB week. I was introduced to Beachwood Brewing located in Long Beach California. Unfortunately they do not distributed to Chicago, or even as far as Nevada, so I'll have to plan a mini excursion to SC, perhaps in March.

Love the West Coast IPA style. We have many great breweries in Chicago, but this is one of the few styles our brewers cannot replicate on par with world class beers. Pliny the Elder is one of my all time favorite beers period, and definitely within this style. That is until I was able to score Amalgamator at The Beer Temple (both draft and cans for home). Heading back tomorrow for more of both. Beachwood is not a one trick pony. Their Mocha Machine is an excellent coffee forward offering, their Guns of Brixton English Bitter was among the best bitter's I've tried.

To great beers across the globe, cheers!

If you’re mixing at home, you might want to consider Segram’s VO or Black Velvet 8 year.

That Canadian Hunter I posted? 1.75 bottle runs about $13 at most places (Total Wine; Specs).
It's a "well" Canadian at several bars in North Texas, and it is (surprisingly) quite good. I no longer buy Crown... it's either Hunter or R&R.

That’s a good one too. I’m also gonna try that Irish Whisky, I need something special for Thanksgiving. Looks like it’s available at my local State Store here in PA, $43 for a 750ml.
