This is sorta-kinda what Cosmo did too. I think it's smart. Oh, and I'm secretly hoping it all turns into suites. I intend to quite possibly make my mark on this new property with the hopes of having a suite! Can't wait for all of the dust to be gone and to begin enjoying what the Stevens' Brothers have put together.

Derek said he wants to end the issues he has in host meetings as they figure who can get suites on busy weekends.

According to the construction timeline, they should be working on the exterior about right now :)

I spent some time looking at Resorts World Today and they have a lot to do for a similar timeframe. Honestly, Circa can happen, since it is smaller.

Looks like they need to adjust the web cam again. The hotel is moving out of the frame. Can’t wait to see the progress in a couple months.

I feel a little bit bad for The Cal. For decades they were hidden behind the Las Vegas Club, then for a couple of years they are fully visible from Fremont Street, and now they're going to be shadowed by an even bigger hotel. I wonder if being more visible drew in more people wondering down from Fremont Street?

The Cal is going to be direct neighbors with the future hottest spot downtown as well as the new parking structure which is going to be a popular parking spot for downtown visitors and a major ride sharing hub for people coming in from the strip. The renders indicate that it's going to have 360° of attractive and well lit frontage all the way around the building which will provide an welcoming path for people coming to and from Ogden Street.

I bet they can't hardly wait for Circa to open it's doors. I bet the halo effect is intense for Plaza, Binions, and The Cal.

The California will now have its buffer back from the Fremont Street noise that passes for musical appreciation :headbang: which is stretching it. I hope it possible to leave California from either Ogden Street exit and cut through circa to access Fremont. Cutting through Binions is easy but depressing.

I've been watching the live cam but it looks the same every day. Your pictures put it in a different perspective
