Got it. As said. Already gold. But that’s an easy extra couple of thousand points

Both these casino chains ain't no good. They will "no mail" you in a heartbeat if you are a winner.

Here's an example of Boyd Gaming and comps:
Hadn't played at the Gold Coast for a while. Received an offer for 14x points on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in September. Ran through $88K. Received the mailer for November. Piece of garbage. $5 free play x 4 and play $150 and get $10 free play x 5.

Boy that'll make me really want to continue playing at the Gold Coast!!

$88K and only that! I am a low roller and have been getting a lot of free night offers from MGM for several hotels. I really like Orleans but have low expectations from Boyd when I do gamble there.

@Don the Dentist that is terrible. Did you only play full pay VP? Did you win a lot of money? Or was it the play on 14X days that caused Boyd to hand over a measly offer to you?

I too am a low roller and get very rare offers, so low rates for weekends is best I can hope for. Stations offered me that with only one day of play.

Closest to this I get is downtown and Palace was a way better experience for my two trips a year.

I only played $1 NSUD or $2 9/6 Jacks. Hit a $2 royal and won $6,600 for the month. Only played on the 14x point days.

Sounds like the policy that Boyd (and Stations) have been following the past 7-10 years - if you are a winner we don't want anything to do with you. Guess I should be happy I got a mailer at all.

California: Three nights comped, $20.00 food, $10.00 slot credit.
Boulder Station: Three nights comped, 20.00 slot credit.
    Sunset Station: Two nights comped.

I ONLY play quarter 100% plus machines. I am a net winner at each of these casinos.

A few years ago, I made over $6000.00 in one day at MSS. Didn't affect my room offers.

I’ve noticed with Boyd a big win will generate a better offer. Many years ago I hit 4oak playing Let It Ride for $1000. Normally I’m a .25 VP player with $25 free play monthly. The next flyer offered $250 gift card and a tournament. After the stay, went back to $25.

I have some experience with both although it is limited with Stations. Let me preface by saying that I mostly play craps and occasional VP. My local Boyd is in Tunica which I get to once or twice a year. I'm close to being even overall there and will constantly get offers for what seems like unlimited rooms in Tunica plus table dollars and food credit every month. I've also been getting 2 nights comped (almost any time) monthly at most of the Boyd properties in Vegas. I don't get any other resort credits in Vegas from Boyd but the rooms work just fine for me. I've dropped in to play at different Boyd properties around Vegas, but have only stayed at Suncoast on a Thursday and Friday night. I enjoyed the room and felt the property overall was nice but nothing glamorous. The casino floor seemed quiet and I could always get on a table anytime I walked past.

From Stations, I've been receiving mailed offers ONLY from Red Rock, but that is the only Stations resort that I played at during the trip in May. I played over 3 hours (average bet was $30/roll) and ended up losing less than $100. Since returning I receive offers for 3 nights anytime and $50 FP and $25 FB. Today I received a mailer for 2 comped nights over NYE and $75 FP or Resort Credit. These may be teaser offers to get me back in the door since it was my first drop-in play at Red Rock, but I'm on the "list".....for now. I will eventually take them up on the offer(s) and give them my normal play and see how it fares for continued mailers. I can't comment on the actual rooms or resort since I haven't stayed - just played.

I would add to this, for video poker players especially: "B shafted." Another strike against Boyd is their awful players club. Even many of the strip properties give better comps to VP players. Their downtown properties are really great, so it is a shame that they get the players club so wrong. I love the vibe at MSS. Would be there every trip if it weren't for their laughable slotclub. I had actually booked MSS before my first-ever trip to Vegas, right before they changed the slotclub. Once I saw the changes on VPfree, I immediately cancelled my reservation. Boyd being awful pushed me into the loving (if imperfect) arms of the Four Queens! :p

I have hit royals at Boyd in the past years which made those trips significant wins, and have NEVER seen an increase in my offers due to a win. My offers at Boyd only change according to play level, and Boyd cutbacks (Boyd being Boyd).

While table play might be different, I've never seen even one other report mention that offers increased after a big win. I think it is more likely that the pit boss made a typo when entering your play into their system.

Good info, and not surprising. You mention Boyd no mailing you, but in the case you site they did mail you, just that they were crappy offers. I think the crappy offer is due to the very low theoretical on those games. Curious, do you know how many Tier points you earned for that play?

I have seen MANY reports over the years of Stations no mailing winners (too many to count), so I have no doubt they will do this, which is insane really, as anyone can hit a royal no matter what their skill level is. However, I have never seen a report of someone being no mailed at Boyd for winning. I have seen several no-mail reports at Boyd for being an advantage player. One way they flag you is if most of your play is only on multiplier days.

Boyd even has a advantage player provision in their Young at Heart rules:

"Boyd reserves the right to determined that anyone who is deemed in the sole and absolute discretion of the Boyd management to be an “advantage player,” to be ineligible to participate in the Promotion or Drawing, or to have his/her ability to participate in the Promotion or Drawing otherwise limited. Any such “advantage player” who is already a B Connected member prior to the commencement of the Promotion or Drawing may be notified by Boyd prior to the commencement of the Promotion or Drawing of any such ineligibility or limitation determination. An “advantage player” is described as a skilled or knowledgeable player who will find legal ways to gain mathematical advantages while gambling."

The key aspect of this is it says they will actually notify you that you are flagged, as opposed to just not getting mail with no explanation, at Boyd.

My wife and I (and many other knowledgeable players) have been no mailed by Boyd for years and years. If you are a "knowledgeable" player you are going to be a winner over the long run. So if you get no mailed for winning or for being an advantage player, the bottom line is you got no mailed.

True, but you are not no mailed if you got the free play offers that you mentioned.

It was, I am assuming, a one-time deal. And it was the first mail of any kind in over 10+ years. Think their new slot club rules have cost them players and they are trolling for business.

Let's hope so! Did you track the Tier points earned for all that play? Would be interesting to know if it is around rates for 9/6 JoB that has been posted here in the past. I don't have that thread handy, but I think it was something like 10 tier points per $1,000 coin? Since that NSUD game has a bit higher return, wondering what was the Tier rate you observed for this game.

The value of my MSS/Cal mailers dropped dramatically in for November. The amount I played went up, but the per day amount went down. I had also been hitting RF's and winning rather consistently there. I liked my MSS offers and wanted them back. This trip, I only played 3 full days there. I did hit another RF, but I also earned a lot more tier credits by playing multi line 8/5 BP for a day. I'm hoping this makes their algorithm like me more.

The only Boyd casino I spend much time at is Aliante. I get the same offers every 2 months on a large postcard. $10 in free bets ($20 total; $10 for each month) and a 2 for 1 buffet coupon. I noticed when printing off the November buffet coupon that it now says 2-for-1 or 50% off one buffet. Which is better since I am solo every other trip. On those the buffet coupon was useless. I think they extended how long it is good for also. Used to be good for only 24 hours after you printed it.

The Boyd mailer from Aliante also includes a code for discounted rooms. They are usually $49 most nights.

My friend who only goes to Vegas once a year and plays Pai Gow Poker with me at Aliante gets the same mailer but the free bets on his are $5 each month rather than $10. My other friend who also goes with me once a year says he has never gotten a mailer from Aliante.
