    My Trip Report

Greetings! I am a long time lurker, infrequent contributor. Since I enjoy everyone’s trip reports so much, I felt it was time to pay the piper and do my own.

This is an after action trip report, but I will break it up by day.

    Pre-Trip:

This is my first Vegas trip in about a year and a half, and it’s my tenth trip overall. I am a low-rolling gambler who only really dabbles in VP. I like to get dressed up, eat good food and consume (many) good drinks.

My glorious return to Vegas was with my best friend of 16 years, E.

    Friday (Day 1):

I got into Vegas very early… 9 am. I went right to the Cosmo. Unfortunately, there were no upgrades available, but I was very happy with my terrace suite with fountain view in the Chelsea Tower. Our room wasn’t available until 3.

E got in around noon. We mostly just wandered around until the room was ready.

    Room view (day):

    Room view (night):

We had dinner over at Eataly. The mushroom pasta was pretty legit but a little too al dente for my tastes. However, the nutella waffle was AMAZING. A little crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside… Delightful.

    Nutella waffle. Ermagawd… So good.

That night, we saw Miss Behave at Bally’s. It was so much fun! It’s hard to describe, but it is a raunchy game show in an intimate setting.I think it is well worth ~$50. We got our tickets from Tix 4 Tonight.

After the show, we had a drink at the Bally’s casino bar and then headed over to Caesars to check out the Vanderpump Cocktail Garden. For any fellow Bravo fans, this is a must-go. The setting was beautiful, the cocktails were delicious and the goat cheese balls were tasty! We did not have any Bravolebrity sightings, however.

The guys working the door were very nice. There was a bit of an artificial scarcity… We waited about 15 mins to get in, but there were empty tables inside. No worries because we met some lovely people in line.

    Hanky Panky. SO GOOD:

    The (in)famous goat cheese balls:

We grabbed some food from the Caesars food court and were in bed by midnight.

    Saturday (Day 2):

I woke up feeling pretty good! Had some Drip Drop at the recommendation of the board, and it seemed to help!

E and I went to the Wicked Spoon Buffet. There was a pretty long line, but we got to jump it with my Marriott Platinum Elite status. Not saying I’m a baller, but you know…

Buffet was good. Desserts were meh. Would do it again, though.

We dabbled on The X-Files slot at Cosmo. I am a lifelong X-Phile. E was able to turn $5 into $40, which I found impressive. At another recommendation from the board, I got a Raspberry Lemon Drop Martini. These would later prove to be my downfall.

That afternoon, we made the trek to Golden Tiki. It was on my bucket list. It was so cute!!! And the Painkillers were delicious. I want to go back here with my husband.

    My pain was killed:

Randomly, my brother scheduled a Vegas trip that overlapped one day with our trip. He met us at the Cosmo after we got back from Golden Tiki.

My brother brought this with him… Truly disgusting:

We wandered over to Paris to kill some time before the 10pm showing of Opium. We watched 4 Top perform, which is good for people watching. It was fun watching people let loose on the dance floor.

The bartender at Gustav’s Bar was terrible and completely ignored me multiple times. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Saw Opium… It was a lot of fun! Personally, I think Absinthe is a bit better, but we really enjoyed Opium. At this point, I was pretty drunk, and I kicked one of our drinks all over the floor. Oops!

Afterwards, we went back to the casino, and I kept getting those Raspberry Lemon Drop Martinis. Terrible decision. I felt ok by the time I went to bed, but I woke up HURTING.

    Sunday (Departure Day):

I had an 11am flight, so I woke up, threw up a few times and left. It was terrible. I hobbled through the airport like I was 90 years old. I am glad I took Monday off because it took at least a full day for me to feel human again.

    Closing Thoughts:

I love Vegas, and I love E. We always have a great time together. Looking forward to my next trip (whenever that may be)!

Loved the TR and so glad you had fun! Another fan of the Raspberry lemondrops but agree, they DO have a lot of sugar and at least for me, lots of alcohol and lots of sugar does NOT make me feel like conquering the world the next day.

Loved the TR and so glad you had a blast!

Great report and I feel your pain have had a few bad days on the flight home with a killer headache and nausea from one to many drinks it’s so hard to to say no when the cocktails are being served with such speed with you can’t drink as fast the waitress brings them out.

Thanks for allowing us to follow along. Love your style, perfect make-up and never a hair out of place :poke:.
My wife loves the Cosmopolitan raspberry lemon drops, but doesn't have the rim sugared and this seems to help.

Thanks for bringing us along! I had no idea Miss Behave was a thing! Sounds like fun! Definitely going to run some $ through the X-Files at Cosmo when I’m out there for Super Bowl weekend. I love me some Scully and Mulder and last trip, I only found it at MGM and it wasn’t very kind. Maybe Cosmo will make me believe.
