Over 2k on the DTG Royal? Wow! I knew it reset above 1k, but wasn't sure how much. Hopefully they hold onto the games. I heard 10/7 db got downgraded. They might be gradually backing out of the experiment honestly.

What a trip and trip report you have been writing. Thank you. We are flying to LV and staying at South Point for a 5 day run tomorrow. I have been religiously following your reports and vicariously living through all your ups and downs. Have a feeling you are a day from leaving so good luck and maybe we meet down the road. Thanks again for your writing.

I've checked a few pay tables. 10/7 DB is still here for quarter players. I'm seeing 9/7 DB at .50 to $2. Same machines dropped to 9/6 DDB above quarters. The 10 play 5c/10c games I've been playing have 40/10/6 DDB and 9/7 DB. I think they may have already backed out of anything a pro could live off of. Is there anything you want me to look at here before I check out tomorrow?

I thought a $2,100 royal for quarters on an otherwise positive EV game was pretty impressive.

Thanks for following. Your math is correct. I'm at DTG today, move to Freemont tomorrow, and fly back to Alaska Weds morning.

Yeah most things sound like they have been knocked down one notch at least. I would be interested in where the games stand for the sake of the bartop sticky.

These would be my guesses for the Furnace Bar single line at moment
    10/6 DDB with prog. (9/6 for 50c-$2)
    8/5 Bonus
    9/7 DB
    25/15/9/4/4/3 Deuces ("Airport Deuces")
    13/4/3/3 Bonus Deuces
    8/6 Bonus Deluxe

And 40/10/6 multiline DDB and Spin Poker are both still at the bar?

Do the other games follow this pattern for 3/5/10 and spin?
    9/6 TDB
    25/15/9/4/4/3 Deuces
    13/4/3/3 Bonus Deuces
    8/6 Bonus Deluxe
    7/5 Bonus

    Is STP at bar now?
    8/6 Bonus Deluxe
    7/5 Bonus
    9/6 TDB
    9/5 DDB
    20/12/10/4/4/3 Deuces
    10/4/4/3 Bonus Deuces

    UX at bar?

    9/6 TDB
    9/5 DDB
    8/5 Bonus Deluxe
    6/5 Bonus
    20/12/10/4/4/3 Deuces
    10/4/4/3 Bonus Deuces

Not sure if all those UX games are even there as options. I was so short on time that I didn't take notes and assumed Vpfree2 had it listed at the time, but apparently the full pay UX games weren't listed on VPFree2. I basically played 9/6 DDB UX when I was there because I knew it was the best game. Lol

Whatever info you can confirm in your spare time would be appreciated (you probably can just check 3 play lowest denom to confirm the multiline stuff), particularly the single line games. Good luck during the rest of your stay!

11/12/19 Tuesday and last day at DTG.

I'm feeling less than energetic this morning. I was really looking forward to playing at DTG, but between last weekend's long playing sessions and losing about $500 yesterday, I would like to just take the day off. I'm still interested in the games though, and this is my first time seriously playing DTG. I decide to power through and see what happens. Something usually bails me out. Besides that, tomorrow is my last playing day in Vegas.

I start playing .25c 50/10/6 DDB at 10:27am. the RF is around $1,320. I am dealt 10's at 10:30 and have $157 in credits. That bleeds down to my original $100 at 11:05.

I switch to 5c 40/10/6 ten play. The dealt hands were poor and I lost my $100 at 12:18. I wished I could get dealt a quad on 10 play. I had no idea how much I had played. I finally found the host office and he said that I had run around $10,000 through. That's the minimum that was expected of me, but I'll still play more. I lose a $10 MP betting black heading out the door.

I go to Magnolia's for a final omelet. I pick up a couple of dinner cookies as well. I also stop by the giftshop and get a couple of calendars.

    I go back to .25 10/6 DDB at 3:38. I'm dealt 3's at 3:46, but can't draw the kicker. I have $160. Then I draw K's at 3:53 and have $173. At 4:07pm I'm back down to $100 and cash out.

The comped beer sucks at DTG. I was going to settle for Lagunitas, but they are out of that. I'm walking to Tenaya for happy hour. It is also Pint Night, but I forgot my glass at home. The walk was uneventfully uneventful. The people sleeping underneath the underpass have been moved on. They now only have the privilege of sleeping there when the shelter beds are full. Shelters aren't my favorite place to sleep. I hope they're in a decent place. The industrial area's scenery isn't any less ugly now that they're gone, and I don't feel any safer now that I'm alone on the street.

I arrive at Tenaya. It has patrons, but it isn't crowded. People might be waiting for Pint Night to kick off. I set next to a guy focused on his phone. We don't talk for a while, but it turns out he is interesting. He knows a lot about beer and putting a daughter through college. He's a regular regular of the bar and knows everyone. I try some beers. They have a big anniversary party coming up Saturday and anything they run out of won't be freshly tapped till then. They are out of their Barley Wine and DIPA. The DIPA would have been the first thing I tried. I'm not here for their regular IPA's. I try Fuzzy Vegas Peach Saison and God of Thunder Baltic Porter at 9.3%. The Saison wins. The Porter may come later. Then I try their 6.3% October Fest and Fueled by Fire. The later combines their Brown with their Haulin Oats oatmeal stout.. I like all 4 beers, but Fueled By Fire is my selection.

I really like Tenaya's guest tap selection and proceed to check those out. There was Good Life's The Juice, a juicy IPA and an excellent Scandinavian made NE IPA. I can't give you the name because I can't read my writing. They also had a something Stout Mama with liquid chocolate and coconut. Everything was good. A lady had sat next to me and the three of us where talking. She had tasted my Fueled BY Fire and was sold. She saw me struggling to decide and returned the favor. She was drinking a Bruery 2016 Autumn Maple Belgian Brown with Maple molasses and spices. It was a 10% nectar. Get it while you can! The Brewer let me try their Brut IPA. The style is lost on me. The woman offered a ride back, but I was good walking. I went back to DTG for another gambling session that I will have to describe later.

If it's a Scandinavian NE IPA in Vegas, it is probably made by Omnipollo. The likely suspects(via Untappd) are:

    Fanamorgana (8.1%)
    Shploing!! (7%) also milkshake
Shoutao (7%) also milkshake (4/5 rating from me)

That was the impression I got, also..

Your beer discovery, on top of the VP, is truly impressive, maybe you can make a new thread about all these great non casino breweries (or I could pay attention and sift through these posts). Do some/most of them not have any VP, and still are worth the trip?:blink::beer:

Sad that your trip is ending soon. Love pint night and really sad to miss their 20th Anniversary party. They are one of Vegas' first craft brewers and are still running strong.

Also love their staff (Brian main bartender and everyone else) and they typically have a great guest list. Glad you enjoyed your visit and beers.

Any other beer trips planned in your final hours? Hope you hit at least one more Royal and a quad of beers before you head back to the Auroras in Alaska. Was actually 20 degrees warmer in Wasilla vs. Chicago yesterday. I need Vegas NOW!

    Cheers!

Yes the comped beer at DTG does suck now. I had a Joseph James, "I'm Out Stout" 3 years ago, but I decided on a Newcastle last trip. Last time I had one was about 3 years ago at Mirage! [emoji1787] But i think the beer tastes better since the Lagunitas unit of Heineken took over. It's alright for what it is. Glad they got rid of the clear bottle.

Nice tip there on using comp $'s for calendars. I'll have to check them out next time.

Where does one pick up those cookies at Four Queens and how much do they cost?

The 10/7 .25 machines are there over by the players club. They are no longer progressive though and accumulate points at half the speed.

Sorry for the delay. My internet at Freemont didn't work last night so there will be a time delay for the rest of this TR. I'll deal with the important stuff now though. The cookies are generally on the check out counter between the Magnolia's cash registers. Sometimes they are stashed on the counter to the left of the 2nd cash register. So if you can't see them from the bottom of the stairs, and you really crave a cookie, make the walk up. I think they are $1.50 each, and can be paid for with comp dollars. They have peanut butter, chocolate chip, macadamia nut, sugar, and oatmeal raison. They make them onsite, but often sell out at least some flavors.

The giftshops at Binion's and 4 Q's let us use comp dollars on most of what they sell. This excludes alcohol and hygiene items. You can get a bunch of candy, you just can't get the toothpaste to prevent cavities. Not only does it make this stuff free, but they apply the club 55 discount. It's cheaper than free. I also got a 4 Q's and a Binion's T shirt so that I could wear the correct uniform at the machines. Seemed to work.

lol this TR is now making me want to sing “C is for cookie, and cookie is for me!” :kill::feedme: But the 4Q/Binion’s cookies *are* a very worthwhile use of comp dollars

(edit....didn't see wasilla's answer until after posting this )
They are at the cashier station in Magnolia's, on a glass covered cake pedestal. My notes say they were $1.61 each, which I noted due to the odd pricing. Maybe that was the amount including tax. In any case, around that price. They have a limited amount available (6-10?).

My favs are the peanut butter and the macadamia nut. Many times, I have to settle for what ever type is left. Don't go try to buy them after me because there aren't many left after that!

    11/12/19 Tuesday night

When we stopped this TR, I was walking from Tenaya Creek Brewing back to DTG. After having lost several hundred there since Monday, I was looking forward to a comeback.

I started playing the .25 10/6 DDB progressive at 8:00pm. I hit J's at 8:08 and was up to $145. I was dealt 8's at 8:14. I was up to $182 and figured my comeback had arrived. I quit at 8:49 with $42.50. I was dealt a pair of 3's earlier, but missed them and held 2 high cards. I winced as I hit draw, cringed as I saw the third 3, and cursed when the 4th 3 was the last card dealt. Just set a hundred dollar bill on fire. I was curious about a .25 triple play spin porker and lost that $42.50 in a heartbeat.

I put $100 in the 10 play .10c 40/10/6 DDB. I lost money until I hit 3's at 9:14 and got back up to $94.50. I was later dealt a 4 card inside SF and was blanked on all 10 lines. I lost my $100 at 9:27, I'd lost about $1,000 at DTG at this point. I had been dealt some great hands on single play, but very little on 10 play. Over the 2 days I got dealt a couple FH's and a few flushes. I'd been dealt a single flush on ten play today. I figured this would have to change and I put another $100 in. Drawing 2's at 9:38 brought me up to $55.50 and 9's to $74. At 9:15, a SF brought me to $70. I lost that at 9:50 and put in another $100. I was up to $126 when I hit 8's at 9:58.I was up to $180 with Aces after holding 2 at 10:02. At 10:08 I held 3 Aces and hit on one line to reach $308. At 10:22, I held 2 Aces and a line drew the other Aces with a kicker. I was at $373. Finally! I was on my way. I was losing credits after, but J's brought me $321. At 10:40, holding a pair of 7's earned a quad and brought me to $206. Credits can go fast in this game. At 10:50, I hit 9's and was at $209. I hit a quad draught for 35 minutes (equivalent to over 5 hours on single line) before hitting 6's at 11:25. I have $36 remaining. I lose it at 11:34. I put in another $100. At 11:50 I hit Q's and was at $123. I got 6's at 11:51 and was up to $155. 9's at 11:51 brought me to $160. If you're wonder why a quad within a minute only yields a $5 bump, a .10c ordinary quad yields $25 while being blanked on 10 lines loses $5. I lost the rest of my $100 at 12:13am. I put my last hundred in, the machine spat it out. We repeated this 5 times before I quit. Probably for the best, but I'll never know.

Tomorrow I move to the Freemont for my last night. I plan to mostly play at MSS's BHB.
