So do I! That was a very cool thing to see when you walked in and so appropriate for "MGM". Whoever they've had for their design person these last 10 years needs to put on permanent vacation.

What if it was a prank, but the top mucky mucks were impressed and just couldn't wait to see these changes? Jokes on the prankster now!

The caption when you follow the link said something about "this design competition".

Which would suggest this is their bid/proposal to redo the rooms, but does not assure that they won it.

Yeah, I think they're both old. Bellagio just re-did the rooms a couple of years ago, no?

I believe you're correct. I think Aria, Vdara, and the Signature need an update at this point.

@Chuck2009x The last renovation took place over the course of a couple years (roughly 2012-2015? someone correct me), and most of the industry renovates approximately every seven-- sometimes less, sometimes more. Therefore, it sounds about right that they'd be in the design/solicitation phase right about now.

Looks like you're right, they finished in 2015. Time flies I guess. :D

It had to have started early 2012. I was at Bellagio in October of 2012. I stayed most of my week in the Spa Tower but switched to fountain view room for the last night or two. The room in the tower was definitely recently redone. Everything looked newer and more modern. I recall being told that the rooms were in the midst of a refresh.

I guess I like this rendering better than the last. Although I get "fancy cruise ship" from here.

Yeah this is better than phase 2, but still seems too busy to me. Then again I usually stay at Delano... and their design is sterile hospital chic.

What happened to the other 2 remodel renderings? Are these all just "possible" room remodels?

Well, they won't have to clean bloodstains out of the carpet anymore. "Bloodstains? Heavens, no! That's part of the design!"

I'm pretty easy to please, so I like it, but then I liked the last one too.

I like it, especially the sofa/chairs/coffee table configuration in the standard king room. I have a feeling the room will feel crowded, though with all that furniture.

It's nice. But I need a desk. With a real chair, not a mushroom.

    It's nice, though.

It's a little busy with the mixing of textures and patterns, but it blends together rather well. I don't see this as being a design that will age well. I feel like VP and Wynncore have the more timeless designs to their rooms.

Has a very premium room rate feel to it
