Hi, I got an offer for 3 comped nites at Caesars in an Octavius premium room. I have it booked for November. If I am offered an upgrade, complementary or otherwise, what would be an upgrade to that room? Thanks

Augustus premium or a suite, and that's pretty much it. Octavius is the second most expensive generally but some people prefer Palace because they dont like the location of Octavius.

Augustus premium however depending on the calendar and availability, you may get a suite.

I've stayed at CP a lot and always comped and never once was asked or offered an upgrade.

Wow that's crazy. The only time I have not gotten a free upgrade at caesars palace is when I reserved a particular suite in the first place and a convention was on at the time.

@Keyma623 the rub with getting an upgrade will be that you're arriving on a saturday night, but the other nights are some of the least busy and maybe even that Saturday is slow. If you are diamond, use the diamond check in. They can allocate some rooms the front desk cannot and they are the Augustus rooms with the good fountain views. Otherwise Augustus is not much of an upgrade. They're very similar but Augustus is a slightly larger common area. I think octavius is 550 square feet standard and Augustus is 600 or thereabouts.

I am actually getting in very early Saturday morning so hopefully that will help. Do you think I could offer a 20 and a get a suite? The only problem is this is a girls trip so we need 2 queens.

Unlikely to get a suite with 2 queens. The only ones I see available that night are Palace studio which normally cost a similar amount to the Octavius premium and you have a good chance of getting that if you want it. It's a smaller 'room' area but a ginormous his and hers bathroom, which might be nice for multiple people. There are 2 water closets in that room. I've stayed in it with my father and it was great each of us having our own bathroom sink and toilet. The shower is a giant 2 headed thing with doors on both ends and the "hers" side has a jacuzzi tub and a larger water closet with a bidet.

The only other 2 queen suite available that night is the forum emperor suite and ain't no way you get that for $20 sandwich. Its listed at over $1,200 for that night and is one of the High Roller suites that I think normally comes with a limo. All.other sites I see available that night are single king.

In terms of Saturday, timing doesnt matter; I just meant Saturday is much higher demand than sunday and monday. If something unadvertised is or becomes available Saturday night, they'll probably give it to someone but there are few suites with 2 queens until you get in the very high end with 2 bedrooms and stuff. They may have Augustus corner suites with 2 queens; they certainly have room but they arent any better than an Augustus premium, just slightly larger mostly because they are end hall and have an entry way.

Realistically, Is shoot for a fountain view auguatus premium 2Q with a $20 or a Palace studio if you want the giant bathroom and not so much the view or the large common area.

There is only one Queen Suite in Caesars, told to me by my host. There could be more but that's what my host told me. My host told me it's booked for the rest of the year. I know the room number because I've stayed in it ,and left there Monday night. Very hard to get.
Octavius room is decent the Augustus is a bit larger, that might be considered an upgrade but it's maybe 100 sq ft larger.

The Julius Executive suites are just center entry way / guest bath / living room situated between 1K and 2Q rooms with upgraded bathrooms and can be rented with either side included or you can pay extra and get both sides, but often they just advertise the 1K online. You can definitely get that one as a 2 queen though, and they have more than one of them.

I think I was told this was an option with at least one of the NOBU suites as well but was a while ago so memory on that is hazy, but do remember when I was speaking with them booking the room with my father we had an option in Nobu around $600-700 a night that had 2 queens in a bedroom. They consider the Palace studio room a suite, and they have a bunch with 2Q, but it's really not a real suite, just a palace premium with an extra 200 square feet in bathroom and extra closet space. If there's a room actually named the "Queen Suite." I know nothing about that. They definitely do have some suites they only give out through the casino and I'm not that high of a roller.

Thank you for all the great information! The room with the two bathrooms sounds the best to me since we are two females. Love the wealth of information available on this board. Thanks for sharing!

I really do think the Palace Studio 2Q is one of the best rooms ever for 2 people sharing a room but not sleeping together. You each get your own bed, your own toilet, and your own sink/counter.

The one thing worth a mention is that the large shower connects between the 2 bathrooms with glass doors on both sides, so there is not privacy if someone is in the shower for someone to go in to either bathroom. And only the one side has the big jetted tub and bidet. The other side is smaller and just has a water closet and a sink/mirror/vanity area but as long as nobody is in the shower you basically have 2 private bathrooms. Also because the entry way is longer to get past the bathroom, it has an extra closet and a vanity area outside the bathroom between the entrance door and bedroom area. Ours had (3) two-door closets. One door of the 6 was locked shut and had water heater and or HVAC stuff in it but we had a full 2 door closet for each of us and the 5th door had the suitcase valet, ironing board, and safe in it. Really nice room perfect for sharing. If you look at the 3 pictures of that room that they have on the booking site, the picture of the shower is taken from the hers side of the bathroom looking through the shower and the vanity you see is the one in the his side to get an idea what I mean with the shower being a connector.

$20 bribe on a Saturday isn't going to get you an upgrade especially when you're already being comped a great room. Maybe you along with some others aren't aware that every room is assigned a comped value. You earned that free room based on prior play. Trying to Upgrade to a nicer room or Suite will increase the value of that comped room. In order to make up the difference the property will expect you to increase your play as well. Failing to do so will result in a decrease of future offers because you would have been over comped.

I strongly disagree about not getting an upgrade on a Saturday, especially when it's not busy. I got upgraded to an Augustus petite suite with fountain view tipping $20 during peak pool season on a really busy week for a 4 night stay with Saturday checkin. My only other Saturday CP check in this year was on a holiday weekend and I got an even bigger upgrade without asking or tipping (to a lesser room than the Augustus suite, but I only had a forum classic booked so the upgrade was bigger). OP is checking in on the Saturday before the deadest week left in the year where Augustus premium rooms are still available at $158 per night for her exact dates less than 2 weeks out, which is about as low as I've ever seen them to the public, especially this close to the dates.

The point on comp values is 100% valid, but if she wants to ask for the Palace Premium Studio, the comp value difference between that and Octavius premium is usually about $15 a night. $450 coin-in on slots over the 3 days should make up that difference in theo, even if comp values are not adjusted down for the extremely low demand of those dates.
