The insertion of posts in this thread about the Laurel Lounge fruit plate and wings is kinda funny and provides some levity for this thread. Can't tell if the posts were meant for another thread and are here by accident. Anyway, thanks and carry on! Good to know about the fruit plate. :)

Another thing about the comp value of using the Laurel Lounge. If one is a low/base Diamond, the "cost" of entry is 1000 RCs. I no longer look at that as being "$10 worth of reward credits" because it is not truly that. The house-preferred way to earn 1000 RCs is through on-property activity that earns TCs -- preferably, gaming activity on the same day as one accesses the Laurel Lounge. If you get 3-5 drinks during a single Laurel Lounge visit, they are probably going to be worth more than [insert your favorite cheap American] Light at $3 each. Food options -- hit or miss, so let's just call that negligible and a bit of a loss leader.

Off-property ways to earn 1000 RCs include...
    • $1000 of general-category spend on the Caesars Rewards credit card (less if some of the spend is in certain categories)
    • $1000 of restaurant spend under the Caesars Rewards Dining program
    • a ton of Say and Play surveys in the weeks leading up to one's trip
    On-property...
    • $1000 in resort spend (remember -- room fees still earn 1 RC per dollar of spend)
    • $5k slot coin-in
    • $10k VP coin-in
    • table game play generating approximately $500 of theoretical loss
For the machine play, the comp value would range from $60-150. Subtracting the "exchangeable value" of the 1000 RCs, I would posit that Laurel Lounge access is worth at least $50 per visit. I hear that one can get some really nice drinks in there that might cost at least $10-15 each at the typical lobby or center bar, and might not even be served as comp drinks out on the floor. Even if one only goes in and has a few nibbles of... whatever... and has no alcoholic drinks, access is the thing.

If you are doing $1000 of resort spend in a single day, you are probably enjoying some combination of (comped or not) a great suite, a nice day at the pool (when in season) with several drinks, perhaps a spa treatment, and food + beverage that would make the Laurel Lounge not even be an afterthought.

I believe that screen shot was from the CR mobile app. I just checked my CR app & the verbiage matched the earlier post's pic: "45,000 / 150,000 to unlock Seven Stars".

If I was not a CET veteran of the trenches, I would think I would be Seven Stars if I earned an additional 105,000 TCs in 2019.

@win4me Any chance of you being on an iOS device? I do not see "unlock" on the Android CR app.

@dankyone, as I have already written in here, I have never received any free play offer from Caesars, except for a couple 20$ free plays that you get as a bus bonus when you ride the Greyhound into AC. The first time I achieved a daily tier credit bonus from gaming was when I played 500 TC's at the Flamingo back in August or July this year. I did have low play before and I was not receiveing any free play offers. As I have said, in 2018 I have only lost 1K$ to CET. I don't know what the director meant by that phrase and that is why I requested yesterday all my files from them under the Nevada Sentae Bill 220.

I've been a 7* before all these bonus awards. Personally I think 7* is fairly easy to get if you are a real gambler. If you ever saw the leader board in Atlantic City it regularly tops 500,000 tier pints a month, I've seen it at 1.5 million a few times. It's an insult to get a 10,000 tie bonus for someone who earned 5000,000 tier points any month. I didn't read every post on this thread, but I kept seeing $150K coin in for 7*. If you're playing VP it's $10 per tier credit and if you ad a zero you will get the actual coin in it's not $150,000 it's $1,500,000. So let's get real on the difference. Also The side thing that no one has mention that I read, the idea that if the OP gets 7* he will get access to the 7* lounge which is way above the value of the Diamond Lounge. They have top shelf liquor, and real meals unlike the Diamond Lounge.

I'm not sure what was paid for rooms but if you look at rooms in AC the average might be around $100 per night depending on when - more in the arm weather months - and where you stay. Also, the guarantee for free nights has pretty much gone away this year. Normally you would get 4 night wstays, but if you don't have decent play you don't necessarily will get longer consecutive night stays I you read the benefits they don't have the same wording on free stays as in then past.
    My take:
If your paying for rooms and you don't think you're getting back value, go stay somewhere else that's cheaper and you're not required to gamble.

Added: I think the OP owed something, like free nights. He might have spent around $10K for rooms but an 7* gambler can lose more than that in any trip.
However, 7* with that small mount of gamble would be a vote of no from me.

    1. Please feel free to ask any questions you want
    2. This is not "gaming the system". Earning 5X points on hotel charges is the industry standard, MGM even offers 25X. It is Caesars that was lagging with its 1X policy. The 5X AC promotion happens every year and they have many more peoploe playing on those days than on regular days. CET does these days to get people in the casino during the low season.
    3. The high level of play happened in October, they had suspended offers in September. See the "earlier conversation" comment made by the director. Whenever I swipe my players card at a kiosk, it says that "you have opted out of receiving e-mails" which means that you have had your offers blocked. No increased level of play bill bypass their block.
    4. CET Las Vegas maybe, not CET AC. There is intense rivalry between the markets, as if they were not the same company.
4a. What do you mean by "high maintenance"? I pay for everything except for lounge access, where I do not drink their expensive alcoholic drinks. The food they put out is not fancy at all, it is finger food, and the leftovers are given to pigs (no joke here, actual pigs).

Your numbe of 1.5M$ coin-in for 7* through VP is only true if you don't play enough to reach a daily tier credit bonus. Most VP players play 2.5KTCs per day to get the 5K TC bonus and reduce the coin-in to 500,000$. Playing on multiplier days and on multiplier months further reduces this coin-in. For 150K$ of coin-in, I had about 100K TCs. I still had to earn the rest of 50K.

    Just to add some info:
For live poker, it's 10 hours of play at most of the properties as most give $1 in TR and hour. Caesars Vegas gives $2 and I think the AC properties give $2.

I actually spend less time in the lounges in Vegas now that I have free access. When I lose it next year, I'm only gonna pay $10 in TR credits if I plan on drinking alcohol as food isn't worth it, so I probably will spend more time and drink more than I do now. (Like I get 1-3 drinks now and eat. Next year, I'll only go when I plan on really drinking and probably will stay 3-5 hrs.)

As a wannabe Vegaser, who due to incurable cancer is thinking hard about making some Vegas trips in a couple of years time, your post has made me pause for serious thought. Can I first say I have a lot of sympathy for you, as if you were told get 150k, it would, in my mind, be reasonable to expect that to happen. I would feel let down in your shoes, from the information presented and would move on. That said, being a professional man, I am aware that we only have one side of the story and understand that a ‘business decision’ as explained by others here was likely made. but your posting has made me question whether I would ever spend serious money in Caesars. So please forgive me if I ask some questions from the folk here on the back of your thread.

Short of Planet Hollywood (the dancing dealers) and Cromwell (it seems nice and different and midweek anyway comfy), caesars hasn’t grabbed me in the way MGM or the Independents have. But I have more recently been thinking of Cromwell as a possibility, midweek.

Now unlike most I see no value in gambling, money just does not motivate me the way is does most (unlike it did a couple of decades ago). but after 5 years of studying the Vegas business model, I would like to spend a year or so visiting several times, and trying first hand to get my mind around the life you all lead. Though mostly I would be very happy minimum betting on slots and tables. But, if I could ever fund it and bring myself to the point where I could comfortably throw away 5000 per hand I would like to ‘see what that feels like’. Assuming Father Time is not knocking very hard by that time (I couldn’t do it anytime soon).

Now on another thread @DaiLun has recently provided a valuable breakdown of RCs at Caesars. I understand that RCs are not TCs. But, theoretically, if I was to call Caesars and say I would like to ‘flat bet 5000 per hand, on an international program, and be able to arrange that (no time soon so don’t get excited, we would be talking years if ever), am I correct in thinking I could get 150000 TCs and 7 stars in a week of baccarat shoes per day (I realise that would take 2 programs as 50 unit bankroll would not likely last that length of play, 4 shoes a day)?

This matters, as for me, while I know from past experience casinos and gambling don’t ‘grab me’ and I can happily walk by, I do understand addiction. I successfully gave up alcohol, then managed to have occasional drinks without issue, but now no longer drink again due to cancer treatment. I also once, and am currently trying again, to give up a sugar addiction, though being obese food addiction is clearly an issue. But I am as sure as I can be that gambling simply does not ‘grab me enough’ to become an issue.

Loyalty cards however are another kettle of fish. I did at one stage become virtually addicted to Vegas loyalty cards, spending time to work out what level of gambling it would take to achieve a particular status. Worked through that, and reduced my own shopping loyalty cards etc as a direct result. but I am aware that loyalty cards do addict me (as they are designed to do).

which brings me back to your sad experience Skyscanner.

if I were to spend a week at Caesars properties, or a very heavy gambling midweek, I would want to gain the benefits of 7stars at the end of the week. That would be my objective. Not for the status per see, but from what I could learn about myself through the process. Self knowledge is very important to me, it helps me grow as a person.

and if I had been ‘qualified’ by what I had been told and motivated to do, I would be pi###d.

which gets me to my questions...

    1. Am I correct that a week of 5000 baccarat hands, 4 shoes a day, would be enough to get 7 stars in terms of Tc requirements?
    2. If I enjoyed my stay and wanted to redo it, given the comps, would I ever receive any real practical value from the benefits? I mean if all my meals were comped (I know it’s a formula) could I ever realistically use the dining vouchers? Or would they effectively be worthless to me?
    3. If I decided ‘done that got the t shirt” and moved on, sure the vouchers would have value in lower play stays or when staying and low rolling elsewhere, but if I ever decided to restart at Caesars what would be the best way of dealing with any host ‘expectation management’ (I would make my intentions very clear upfront) when I happily sat and played the absolute table minimums, without getting ‘undue pressure’ to play more? It is after all a holiday, not a job and the hassles some of you have posted about hosts sitting down and trying to get you play more would want me to check out to stop spoiling a holiday. And being ever closer to death, I really don’t need that sort of hassle. So what would be the best way of making that crystal clear up front, and dealing with it should it happen.

Thanks, and Skyscanner I hope you can find some sort of peace with your situation, and know that you have made me think twice about staying at Caesars (but Caesars was already as explained above low on my list as other casinos grab me more).

    sorry for the novel.

    1. The last time I played baccarat, just for fun, was in July at the Flamingo. I bet Banker all the time. I played for 30 min, average bet 200$. I got about 250 TCs out of it. 5000 hands is 80 times more than what I played, so you should get about 20K TCs if you bet each time 200$. If you bet 50$, it might get you 5K TCs per day and with the daily bonus of 10K, you would reach 15K TCs. Times 7 for 7 days in a week, that is 105K TCs at 50$/hand. But again, these are just rough estimates, as the TCs for table games are a mystery, it's not as in slots where they give you 1TC for every 5$ of coin-in. If I were you, I would play what I feel comfortable the first day and then check with Caesars Rewards how many points I got that day. Adjust your play the following days accordingly. Personally, I would aim at 5K per day, because beyond 5K there is no extra daily bonus, meaning that if you play 5K or 7K you still get a 10K bonus. So I would advise you to do it in 10 days, not 7, and get 5K per each of those days. Take screenshots in the Caesars app of your number of tier points to know how many you have accrued.

2 and 3. Sorry, I do not know how to answer these, as I have not had any offers from gaming.

    Good luck to you!
