This is the conclusion to the "157K TC's, but still Diamond" thread that I posted last week in here.

Well folks, @JulianC was right, I got denied 7* today by one of the directors because "my comps are not in line with my play" after just earning 100,000 TCs in October from gaming in Atlantic City and after being ranked 40th in the October leaderboard. Tier score is 158K TCs now, I am still Diamond. Totally disappointed. Below are snapshots of the account and the leaderboard and conversations with the director today.

What do you guys think are the best ways to fight this, please?

    "Mr [Redacted],

I was informed this morning by the Caesars Rewards supervisor at Paris Las Vegas, my dominant property, that despite me reaching more than the required 150,000 Tier Credits in the Caesars Rewards program this calendar year (I am currently at 158,396), having no casino credit lines and no casino markers and also no security issues whatsoever, you actually disapproved my invitation to Seven Stars.

It took a lot of time and effort and a six figure coin-in to reach this incredible amount of tier-credits. I have had gaming days at 5,000 tier credits playing from 6 am to 2 am the following day. Out of the millions of people who visited the 9 Caesars properties in Las Vegas in October, I was ranked an outstanding 40th on the Las Vegas leaderboard (print screen attached).

The Caesars Rewards supervisor at Paris was incorrect to say that "most of" my "Tier Credits this year come form hospitality". While investing a 5 figure sum in hospitality charges such as hotel rooms and dining, in fact 2/3 of the credits, that's more than 100,000 tier credits, do come from play. She also said that "some of the tier credits come from 5X promotions" implying that Caesars is denying its customers the benefits of its promotions.

I do hope that you will change your mind. After Caesars Rewards downgraded the benefits of Seven Stars, removed the two Aspirations levels, me being denied the Seven Stars status for no valid reason will create additional disappointment within the player community.

    Best wishes,"

    "
    Mr. [Edited],

Thank you for your email. I believe during our last correspondence I explained our player review committee. We have observed that your comps are out of line with your casino play. We appreciate the hospitality points that you’ve accrued but would not be able to upgrade your tier level. It has become necessary to do this to stop any further comp abuse on your account. Comp abuse would be a disqualification of the 7* status.

    Thank you
    [Redacted],

    "Mr [Redacted],

Please explain what you mean by "comp abuse" on my account. I always pay for my rooms, I never use parking, sometimes I use the Diamond Lounge, where I never order any alcoholic drinks, but I prefer to go to the buffet, for which I also pay, I have more than 150K of coin-in in the casino. How can my comps be "out of line" with my casino play, when I was ranked 40th just last month?

Can you please provide me with a detailed list of the comps that I have used?

    Thank you"

    "Mr. [Redacted],

You have redeemed casino offers with minimal casino play during a 24month period. A decision was made by our committee to suppress further offers. We won’t disclose comp information as it falls in the area of proprietary information.

    Thank you,

    "Mr [Redacted],

I would like to have those records, please, as I do want to make sure I was the one who used and benefited those comps that you have records for. I was told at Caesars Rewards today that someone could have simply fraudulently used one of the player cards I have lost in order to benefit from free parking, as no picture ID is required at the garages. For example, just this year, in September, a stranger fraudulently used my credit card information to pay for resort fees at the Flamingo (police report attached).

So under the new Nevada Senate Bill 220, of which you may not be aware of since it only recently came into effect on October 1st 2019, I am officially asking you to please release to me absolutely all of the records that you and Caesars Entertainment Corporation hold on me, including the list of received services from Caesars Entertainment Corporation for which no pay was required from me, commonly known as "comps".

    Thank you"

I feel for you, but you aren't going to win this one. There is no third party to appeal to. This is not a legal issue. They run the program, and they make the rules. One of the rules is that you don't automatically make 7 Stars no matter how many points you earn, you have to be "invited" by them after earning the required Tier points in order to be 7 Stars, it's not automatic, like it is when you make Diamond. There is no arbitration, and the T&C of the program almost certainly states that management's decision is final. So, you can't win.

I have read in the past that let's say you earn 5,000 reward points on a trip ($50 comp), and you have a nice dinner, and use those plus $150 of your prior saved reward credits to pay for a $200 dinner (50+150). Caesars views that as overcomped, because you used a lot more comps than you earned on that trip! I know it sounds crazy for them penalizing you for using saved comps, but that's what they do!

Furthermore, if you go this route and quote Nevada laws and make demands, you can be sure that there is no way they are going to change their minds on your case. In fact, I'd bet you wouldn't be granted 7 Stars in any year in the future, no matter how many Tier points you earn, as they will view you as a troublemaker.

They will be raising the bar, looking for any chance to deny people. This is the new Caesars Resorts! The merger hasn't happened yet, but when it does, next year will be worse for benefits and 7 Star qualifications!

Usually "comp abuse" or in a more polite way "over comped" means once you did take their offer but low-played or no-played it.
I am not saying you actually did it, but that's probably what they believe now.
Since he mentioned past 24 months, did you have such occasion(s) in last year?

I dont understand what comps you're abusing if you say you dont get free rooms or free meals? What are they giving you, huge free play?

Anyway, instead of arguing with them, which will only get you on their shit list, why dont you vote with your feet and go somewhere your huge play would be appreciated?

I have never received any offers as my play was low before this year, and everything that I booked was booked online not through a host and I have always paid for it. I did go to the Diamond lounges and have had resort fees waived. That is why I want the comp list, so I make sure that everything in there is legit. I believe someone might be using one of my lost cards to get free parking, that is the only way both the director and I can be right.

I’d be raising a stink too, especially if I knew I acted in good faith and that any “abuse” was either somebody else’s doing or misidentified. Also, the fact that technically 7* is by invitation only doesn’t mean squat legally if they have a pattern and practice of letting virtually everybody in who makes 150k TCs. T&C’s only provide so much cover; if a company is desperately trying to show you their behind like Caesars seems to be atm then all bets are off. Not to mention that the denial of 7* is harm in the moment, denying somebody significant tangible benefits that were essentially promised for x actions; it’s not something that can be rectified simply by voting with one’s feet if it was said I would be given something and now it’s being denied.

So you think someone is using your card frequently for free parking, and since you never earn a pt on those days they think it's abuse? Possible but i dont think casinos really care about free parking, they shouldn't be charging to begin with.

Utilize free parking or Diamond lounge food and drink will not be counted as "over comped".
Most often is free play or large amount of food credit.

Also, I believe that asking a company for the data they hold on you is normal. It is the standard in Europe and in California an now in Nevada.

I have never had any free play. The only food credit I got was from opting out of housekeeping. It used to be 10$/day before, now it is 10$/stay.

He mainly played higher because of the promo just to get 7 Stars. There is no other casino he would want to play that much in. He likely "abused" the 5X Tier Point promo in CET's eyes. CET is probably very concerned that he will milk the 7 Star benefits more than the future theo he will generate for CET.

This is quite unfortunate though. This is the first time I have heard someone denied 7 Stars for apparent promotional "abuse".

The supervisor at Harrah's told me "Diamond and Seven Stars cards are of very high value in Las Vegas, they are being sold for the free parking, that's why we tell people to take care of their player cards as if they were their ID's"

I went back to read OP's other thread. It seemed that CET already black listed OP before he went on to play big and got 100K TC.
If I knew I was black listed, I would not step into their casinos ever.

I would double check on comps. Your monthly statements should provide some insight.

Just MAYBE they have someone else mixed up or comp abuse.

People got upgraded to 7* just for earning 5,600 TCs at Ak-Chin last year on December 27. I wouldn't have thought of it being an issue if you do it over 4 days. Plus, I already had 50K TC's from January to September. Sometimes they upgrade people to Seven Stars for winning drawings.

Yeah, so some of it is also because they think you're significantly overcomped. :(

How many nights did you have waived resort fees? If it was like 30 and you created a very low ADT (like $0-10 per day), I could see them not being happy about that either.

I usually booked rooms Sunday-Thursday, paying 30-150$/night. I saw it as a good way to earn tier credits and as my work is 100% online, I could work from there. I ended up paying more than 10K $ in hospitality charges at the hotel and at the restaurants. I think there were 100 nights on low demand days, when they would have remained empty, so it was a net plus for the casino. I did not have much play, I am a non smoker and I have light asthma, I can not stay for hours on the casino floor without having issues. That's what I liked about Atlantic City, 75% of the floor is smoke free.

Have to wonder if they want to see x% of your TCs coming from gaming. If so, it makes their 5x TC on hotel stays infuriating since tier status is all that TC are good for.
