OK, so I finished my day, and here's how it went.

Picked up Pebbles and Tony and went to Ma Gal BBQ.

Ma Gal has three restaurants in the United States, NYC, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, but over 500 restaurants in Asia. So yes, they are a "chain" of sorts.

I ordered the Ma Gal Combo for 4, which included:
Beef Skirtmeat, with beef "sushi", which was blowtorched prior to serving
    upload_2019-11-2_19-11-21.png
If you notice the egg looking stuff on the left hand side of the grill, it is an egg omlette, which cooks during the meal.
Next, there was Paper thin sliced Prime Brisket with mushrooms on the right side
    upload_2019-11-2_19-13-39.png
Several banchan (side dishes) were served, including salads, kimchi and seaweed, and Korean miso soup
    upload_2019-11-2_19-16-22.png upload_2019-11-2_19-14-51.png upload_2019-11-2_19-15-38.png
We also ordered 2 servings of rice for the four of us.
Our server (Sunny) cooked the meat at the table, and when it was cooked medium rare, she moved it off the grill
    upload_2019-11-2_19-18-1.png
    Prime Beef Ribeye
    upload_2019-11-2_19-18-46.png
    After Sunny cut the meat
    upload_2019-11-2_19-19-22.png
    Pork Belly
    upload_2019-11-2_19-19-54.png
Squid and the cut up Pork Belly
    upload_2019-11-2_19-20-32.png
The last main dish was marinated Prime Short Rib (Kalbi)
    upload_2019-11-2_19-21-32.png
Dessert was shaved Ice with condensed Milk and red beans
    upload_2019-11-2_19-22-15.png
All in all, a wonderful meal. Total cost of this meal for 4 was $108 including tax. There is also a two person serving for about $60.

    Particulars of the restaurant
    Ma Gal Korean BBQ
    240 Spring Mountain Rd,
    Las Vegas, NV 89102

    Ask for Sunny!

There is also a pork combo and lunch specials daily. There are menus online but the prices aren't current. I will try to go up tomorrow and ask Sunny if I can take pictures of the menu.

If you want an introduction to Korean BBQ, I highly recommend Ma Gal. Ask for Sunny, she is patient and will explain what the dishes are.

After lunch was done, I drove Pebbles and Tony back to the Wynn, and we said our goodbyes and promised to keep in touch. I was glad I could introduce them to food and a style of cooking that they hadn't had before.

OK, after that, the "downfall" started.

I went to MGM Grand and found out that they had changed the prices on ALL of the gift cards. Gift cards are all 35,000 for $100, 17,500 for $50. I sent mLife a nastygram about the change, not that it will do anything.

Jason and I walked around MGM Grand, and I played off $300 of my FP, and turned it into $286. We parted ways, and I was supposed to come back to the room, but I got "sidetracked" and ended up giving back much of what I had been up from the morning.

Came back to Luxor and gave back a little more. Thank goodness I left money locked up in the safe.

So, today's gambling is done. I think I'm going to Jerry's Nugget for dinner. Small piece rare and blackened. Let's see how that works out. I think I still have $100 free play.

Oh well, that's why they call it gambling. . . .TTYL.

Thanks for an interesting and very tasty meal experience. There was so much food, and all of it was delicious. Sunny was great. Very patient with me asking rookie questions. All in all a great meal with excellent company.

Sorry your day went downhill after that. I hope tomorrow is better.

OK, time to hit the sack after I provide the last update of the day.

I decided to go to Jerry's Nugget for dinner, and I "almost" got it right.

I ordered the English cut (8-10 oz), rare and blackened. It came out pretty close to what I'd been looking for . . . . it was a "little" too salty, so I'm going to ask that they dial down the seasoning next time.

    Dinner was a salad
    upload_2019-11-2_21-50-55.png
Prime Rib rare and blackened (comes out medium rare)
    upload_2019-11-2_21-51-36.png
    Baked Potato
    upload_2019-11-2_21-52-0.png
    Texas toast

OK, now the menu says it comes with an ear of corn, but they no longer serve it with an ear of corn, but it is available for $2.00

I noticed a lot of Monster Trucks, SEMA is next week, and maybe that's why.

I drove down to QQQQ and had breakfast at Magnolia's. Chicken Fried Steak special. Eggs over easy and one slice of sourdough toast.
    upload_2019-11-3_13-29-40.png
Played the silver strike machine in the front and got another $40 strike.; Cost me about $60, but it's worth $80. ended up with two more blue caps and 22 clear caps. I am now set through St. Patrick's Day.
    upload_2019-11-3_13-36-19.png
Sat down and gave QQQQ some Play. Got the major jackpot on Buffalo

    upload_2019-11-3_13-38-39.png upload_2019-11-3_13-38-13.png
Sat down at Buffalo Diamond, playing $4.00 a pull. The 4X spins were 48 games. I got the bonus wheel 3 times, but only got 2x, which was around 10-12 spins each time.
Time to leave QQQQ and head up to Caesars Palace and Harrahs. CP for the GGWU, and Harrahs to pay off a marker.

A quick note. I saw Sandi, the CW at QQQQ that informed my of the "employees can't date customers" rule.

She greeted me enthusiastically as if nothing was wrong (maybe it was me who was projecting that) and we're "all good" I told her that I would see her next month.

Parked at the Flamingo Rd. 7* Valet (gee, I'll Miss that next year), and went upstairs to the Augustus Ballroom. As my BFF had described, it was "bleak" compared to years earlier. Now, the December one might be a little better, and I know for sure that the December HGS at Bellagio will indeed be better.
Took a picture of Jack Skellington and Sally
    upload_2019-11-3_13-43-36.png
Ran into @FABismonte at the 7* valet while picking up my car.
From there, I went to Harrahs and paid off a marker from two trips ago.

Then decided to do something different for lunch. I have a buffet and a $50 dining credit at Silverton, but for lunch, I had a hankerin' for Champong (or Jjampong, as it's sometimes spelled.) It's a Korean-Chinese spicy seafood noodle soup, so I headed up Spring Mountain Rd. Towards Greenland Korean Supermarket, where I've had good Champong in the food court, but Yelp came up with another listing next door.

    Tae Heung Gak
    6870 Spring Mountain Rd
    Las Vegas

    https://www.yelp.com/biz/tae-heung-gak-las-vegas-4?osq=Cham+Pong

The Champong was wonderful, this time there was crab in it!!
    upload_2019-11-3_13-49-58.png
Kimchee, pickled radish, and onions with black bean sayce rounded out the meal
    upload_2019-11-3_13-50-30.png
    $14.00, and well worth it.
From there, I needed to go to the Beef Jerky Store and pick up some Gummi Frogs for my BFF. My Romanian friend wasn't there, so I have another month to practice "Salut ce ma faci" (Hello, how are you) and maybe pronounce "astăzi (today)

Picked up the Gummi frogs and a couple of items for myself, then went back to Luxor. Gonna take a short nap, then go up to Silverton. I will be in bed by 9PM because I have to be up at 3:30AM to catch a 5:30AM flight

Yellows probably, reds and blues are running low. Several machines have clears only.

El cortez is probably your best bet if you want blue caps, but they're El Cortez and Life is Beautiful.

Well, dinner was nearly a disaster. I went over to Silverton and before I even swiped my card, I had dropped $500 in a Wonder 4 Jackpots machine

    Pictures are replicas.
    upload_2019-11-3_19-45-51.png

Ouch. I got up and went over to a Machine "The Third Prince. The Machine I hit for over $2300USD at Okada in Manila. On the 3rd spin I got the bonus, and quickly made $400 back.
    upload_2019-11-3_19-47-17.png
This is the picture from Okada in Manila.
Time to stop and eat dinner. I went to the kiosk and got my $50 dining voucher.

I went to the Twin Creeks Steakhouse. Note that reservations are "highly recommended", but since it was early and I was a single, I got seated.
I ordered the $40 Prix Fixe with Prime Rib as the entree
Dinner comes with Salad (I chose Caesar), and bread
    upload_2019-11-3_19-54-5.png upload_2019-11-3_19-54-15.png
12 oz. Prime rib, ordered medium rare, but slightly undercooked. Served with broccolini and whipped garlic potatoes
    upload_2019-11-3_19-55-3.png upload_2019-11-3_19-55-48.png
    Dessert was a mini-creme brulee
    upload_2019-11-3_19-57-9.png
The comp took care of the meal, and I left $15.00 tip.

So, in comparison to the Prime Rib at Jerry's Nugget, the difference was mostly the ambiance. Jerry's Nugget is a coffee shop, Twin Creeks is a steakhouse. The meal at Twin Creeks was <$50. The meal at Jerry's Nugget was <$25.

Wasn't "done" playing for the night, so I searched out the two machines "Sword of Destiny and Angel Blade"
Yeah, I was playing it for the story . . . . the half naked ladies had nothing to do with it.
    upload_2019-11-3_19-59-19.png
Yes, and they drained me of another $200, So I took the ticket with the last $150 over to a three reel 5 Dragons machine
    upload_2019-11-3_20-2-16.png
got the bonus after awhile, and took the 13 spin option.
    upload_2019-11-3_20-2-51.png
I got a retrigger, and selected 13 free games again. I ended up cashing out for $550, which brought me more or less even for my time at Silverton.

Got gas, (I should have said "gassed up the car") and returned to Luxor. Bought some knick knacks for me and my ex-wife. Came upstairs to finish my TR It's 8:30 and I'm gonna try to catch a few winks. My alarm is set to 3:30AM My flight is 5:30AM.

    See you tomorrow.

Well, for those of you that question the value of TSA PRE-CHECK. at 4:30 this morning at McCarran, the regular line had over 200 people in it. The pre-check line only had 5. There is no Clear at TERMINAL 1.

Kind of difficult to pull off blackened and light on the spice at the same time FYI

Well, I thought if they used 1/2 the spices, it would still be blackened but not as salty.

You and I have the same go-to order at Magnolia's. Love their chicken fried steak with eggs over easy and sourdough toast...exactly what I had a week ago!

I used my BOGO coupon at Magnolia's last night. I loved having a booth overlooking the casino from above. It allowed me to watch the Patriots v. Ravens game while waiting for food. The gumbo was surprisingly good. The prime rib was an excellent value.
