I like hot, but not crazy hot, so will bear that in mind, and maybe ask if I can add the seasoning to the fries myself. Nandos do their peri-peri fries here, but are a bit liberal with their seasoning, and I always get it in a separate pot to add myself.

I have that marked out for Xmas, after seeing Derek's review

    That gelato spot, too!

I'm no connoisseur, but do like a nice gin & tonic :)

oh man I miss Nando's... there's none here in California. They have them in Canada (originally from Canada)... I like Derek's reviews on things...

Gets me through when I'm dieting, as it's a cheat meal, but not. I'd probably be 7-stars there if they had such a thing :D

He's a funny guy, and his reviews are always good. I watch some of them even though I'm unlikely to want to eat at the place he's reviewing.

Aria. Vdara is too far away from the casino and restaurants. Aria has better restaurants than the Bellagio and I personally think that the Aria ventilation system is better and smells less like smoke. But Bellagio is really nice and you can't go wrong staying there.

I've stayed at Aria and Vdara several times and love them both. If you want a casino when you come down from your room then choose Aria. Vdara is easy to get in and out of and an easy walk to Bellagio, Aria, and Cosmo.

Personally I love Vdara, and of course compared to Aria's standard rooms. The Corner Suite at Vdara is super nice but I'm happy in their Studio Suite also.

Bellagio is overrated to me but I do love visiting the Conservatory (if you can even get in from the crowds), Fountains, and Petrossian Bar which is closed right now for a remodel.

Hope you enjoy your stay whichever you choose to book! :)

From Vdara, you can walk to Bellagio without going outside. You walk past Starbucks down that hallway. Just throwing that out there since I saw several posts in this thread saying you had to go outside for a casino.

I was staying in Aria over July 4 and did this walk from Vdara to Bellagio. It was like I found a secret passage. Also from Vdara to Cosmo (outside) down some stairs that walk past a fire station that leads you up to the main lobby of Cosmo. Equally surprising.

Well, technically, you do walk outside. But its a covered walkway, so I know what you meant . But if anyone is trying to avoid the heat, I didn't want them to think its an enclosed walkway the entire way

Yah but still you are outside for like 20 seconds. No heat can be THAT bad. ;)

My boss just returned from 4 nights at Vdara (work trip) and swears it's the best value if you want a great standard room.

We stayed in a panoramic corner on the 53rd floor at Aria and had a fabulous time. The casino continues feel like an airplane hangar.

This next trip we are thinking about the Tower fountain view king at Bellagio as a three night comp. We have never stayed there and we want to give the casino some attention. We are going the first week in June. The Venetian is also giving us a three night comp.
