    My Trip Report

I’ve been at my brothers in San Antonio for a few days and planned a Vegas trip in the middle of that trip. I’ll be returning to SA late Wednesday night. The reason for this trip is I didn’t get to use my Diamond dinner in March (when someone offers you a seat on a private jet to LA to watch the Lakers play the nets, when you’re a laker fan you go. Hell even if you’re not a laker fan you go.). So I had that to use and $125 in food credit. The roundtrip flight was less than $200, the room at Ballys is free so I’d be losing money by not going, right?

Landing at 7:50 tomorrow. Staying at Ballys. This trip will be low to mid rolling black jack, craps, sports betting and some VP. And rest. Im likely to get more rest in Vegas than here because my two nephews are wearing me out. Dinner tomorrow at BLT. I need to figure out where to use my diamond dinner Tuesday night. I’m also looking for a new place to try tomorrow for breakfast. Since I need to kill some time before I can check in, I’m not limited to the strip but don’t really want a long Uber ride.

Finally landed. The row in front of me on my flights was broken. No big deal, until they told us that they’d have to move everyone in my row too. The reason didn’t make sense but I got $100 SW voucher. Dropped my bags off at Ballys and headed up to a place I’ve never been, Peppermill. In my 20 some trips to Vegas I’ve never been in the Wynn or Encore so I’m going to check them out. It’s a morning full of Vegas firsts for me. [IMG]

Walked back from Peppermill and stopped into Wynn for the first time ever. Just wanted to grab a chip but I have to gamble in a casino before I can do that. Put $20 in a buffalo machine and hit a bonus for $100. Cashed out at $121 for a $100 profit and to buy my chip.

Next stop was Harrahs. They didn’t have NBA rookie of the year bets open so I got the lines and played some VP at Harrahs. First quad and first beer of the trip. [IMG]

Made it to Ballys at noon and tried to check in. Room (a JR suite but on the 6th floor and way down the hallway I was told if that tells you anything about my status at CET) was t ready but they were going to put a rush in on it.

I played some VP at the lobby bar and hopped in a craps table that was hot and cold. Felt ok to only be down $20.

Lunch at twin peaks was scrapped in favor of a hot dog at Nosh because I’d like to be close when my room is ready. It’s 3:12 and still no room. I don’t think they know what rush means.

Finally got into the room. Made my MNF bets and hit this at the Ballys sports book bar.

I need to crash for a little bit because it’s been a long day. MNF bets are dolphin ML, Conner and McDonald to score first. Later on, BLT Steak for dinner.

    Good start so far!

But fyi, Double Bonus is the worst CET bartop game unfortunately (94.18%). :( 7/5 DDB is actually better by a decent margin (95.71%).

One anecdote I forgot to tell, while I was waiting in-line at Nosh for a hot dog, I was next up and a guy walks up behind me while the guy ahead of me is paying and asks the cashier, “the sign says diamond members get line privileges, does that mean I’m next?” The cashier looks at me and I said “I’m diamond too, I’m not such a jerk that I’d use to skip one person at nosh.” The guy was pretty pissed. Who does that?

After I crashed and showered, I went downstairs and watched some of the Steelers game. After I got back to the room, I noticed the ticket said Dolphins +14 and not the money line I know I said. I should have known when I said I wanted 15007, which was McDonald for the first score of the game and she looked at me and said, “What’s that?” But I should have checked. I was pissed when the dolphins were up 14 but it turned out to save my ass.

I jumped on a blackjack table. Greg was the dealer and he was great. The table was a motley assortment with a drunken mumbler, an Asian guy with so-so English, me and an older guy. Everyone was winning with Greg. Then the dealer change came. Sewer was nice but the cards turned awful. When the mumbler split tens against a 5 and then hit when one do the hands had 13, I colored up down $15.

I went to eat at BLT Steak. They had a really nice bourbon for $17 so I had that, a wedge salad and the strip. The steak was ok, not great. But the popover was unreal. I’d heard people say how good they are and I thought, yeah right, it’s just some bread. Damn it was good.

Played some buffalo slots and bought a water and a Gatorade and called it a night.

Way to own a fellow diamond player. Haha

You deserved that karma that the sports book employee misunderstood what you wanted. M won her first parlay that way. She wanted two separate bets. Whoops.

Nice start. You picked a good day to get out of SA. The weather is terrible. I love it when a Diamond tries to jump a fellow Diamond.

The weather here isn’t great. Barely got into the 60s yesterday. I’m headed back to SA after this trip and it doesn’t look like it’s going to warm up there either

This morning is pretty bad. Went to earl of sandwich at PH for breakfast. Every damn slot machine here has some sort of damn buffalo involved. Played waking dead and it ate a couple hundred dollars. I’m waiting for the let it ride table to open.

Apparently I can’t post pictures, which is a shame because I’ve had some good VP hits. Thanks tring for the advice. Currently at twin peaks after 3 hours on a let it ride table at PH. Also, very drunk

Pictures are back. Went to earl of sandwich for breakfast. Very festive Brexit coming up.

I wanted to play Let it Ride at PH. I’d didn’t open until noon. So I played some slots and took a beating. Seems like every slot involved buffalo at PH. Then I switched to VP. Here are some lowlights and highlights.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    I guess that’s just highlights. I had a 4 to a royal dealer I recorded but I can’t post videos. I didn’t get it.

My spelling in these posts is atrocious, apologies for that but the phone does some stupid autocorrects and I’ve fat fingered a couple. The let it ride table at PH was great. Really fun table with deena as a dealer. I had a good time but lost $250. I got the let it ride itch scratched as I was there a about 3 hours. Then I went to twin peaks for lunch. [IMG][IMG]

Walked over to Cosmo to find my favorite game of thrones slot was gone. Caught a Bellagio fountain show while I made it back to Bally’s because I had a 3 hour college basketball Fantasy draft I had to do. What a waste of Vegas time. I just sat down at old homestead for dinner.

So, I got the same dinner tonight as last night at BLT. BLT won everything except the steak, which is really all that matters. The bread and salad at BLT was better, but the steak wasn’t close. The strip at Old Homestead was phenomenal. [IMG]

After dinner I went to find a black jack table and found one in the palace casino for $15. Played for 3 shows or so and cashed out down $60. Celeste was the dealer and she was great. Just got back to the room and updated this. It’s hard to write well through the app. Much respect to those that are entertaining because this one isn’t.

Tomorrow is the last day as I’m flying out at 8:55 tomorrow night. I haven’t had a positive session at any table I’ve played. Hoping to change that tomorrow.
