Cromwell LIVE Solo trip - Oct25-28 - $5k Bankroll

Hi all!

My first ever trip report. Have been going to Vegas every other month or so for the past 3 years. I’m primarily a craps player but also play some blackjack, VP, and bet a ton of sports (poorly).

The bankroll: $5k
The backup bankroll (lol): $5k marker

The hotel: The Cromwell. 3 nights with $225 FP starting on Sunday. This is my home base. Craps dealers are amazing, drink service is amazing, gambling conditions don’t get any better on the strip, and the sports book is super underrated. It’s small but the screens are huge, state of the art, and right in front of you so you don’t need to crane your neck to watch your game.

The plan:
Currently riding the train to the airport. Left straight from work. I’ll be flying SEA->LAS at 9:20pm and hope to be at the tables by midnight. With the exception of Sunday morning NFL, this will be a pure gambling trip. Will probably only leave Cromwell to eat. My flight back leaves at 5:45am, with touchdown in SEA at 8:30am. Short train trip back and I’ll be right back at work Monday morning lol.

Tier status: high Diamond. I’m currently at 105k TC. This is by far the most TC I’ve accumulated and it’s mostly because I switched from being a pure pass and come bets with max odds player to mixing in place bets.

My goals for the trip:
-Don’t chase losses by pressing bets
-Don’t lose my ass
-Aim for 15k TC over the weekend to keep me on track for 7*. Most likely the 15k will come from 2 2.5k days.
-Try at least one new cocktail

Sitting on the plane waiting to push back. Captain comes over the PA and says a passenger for this flight got seriously lost and somehow ended up outside on the tarmac and we’ll be delayed as they have to get rescreened through security [emoji849]

How does that even happen???

 

All it takes is some idiot to screw things up for a terminal full of people. Don't let it get to you. Think of all the points you will hit at the craps table and all the drinks to imbibe.

I’m not superstitious so I don’t think the delay put a hex in my trip or anything but it was annoying! Finally got to the hotel around 1:30am and I was dead tired so I went straight to bed.

Up early this morning, though, and am currently in patio seating at Mon Abi Gabi.

 

In for $1000 and after 30 minutes I’m up $750!

Let’s see if my luck holds. Will be a looong day of gambol.

 

Nice start, but sucks they stopped a clearly hot table to do the fill.

 

He was actually very nice about it. Waited through two seven outs when it was clear the table was no longer hot.

My craps strategy this trip is to try to optimize for tier credits while betting the high house edge stuff only when necessary.

$15 (or whatever min is) on pass line, 1-2x odds.
If floor supervisor is watching table:
After come out roll $135 across. $5 on each hard way.

If floor supervisor is not around:
After come out roll exclude 5/9 (high house edge). $25-$30 on 4-6-8-10. No hard ways.


Who knows, if this actually works. Ratings on table games are always a mystery.

 

At the cromwell the rating is controlled by eye in sky computer cause the chip is rfid

 

Wow I’ve never heard of that before. I don’t think every chip has RFID in it. That would be extremely expensive for barely any ROI.
