What year was your very first stay in a Las Vegas strip hotel and which hotel was it?

'92 I think at the then Imperial Palace. Overall, still the most enjoyable room I've had in 65-70 trips. It was on the second floor, so the elevator ride was less than ten minutes! The room faced east over the pool with a balcony. I enjoyed a few cocktails out there during my stay. The hotel casino was pretty much eh, but that balcony was great.

February 2006 or 2007 @ Luxor. Looks like quite a few of us cut our teeth at the Luxor.

 

It would have been closer to where Wynncore is, more or less. On my first Strip stay, we were at the Stardust and some of our extended family stayed over there. I remember it was not just across the street, but across the street and down a bit from the Stardust.

I also remember that it was then a Best Western, since I had recently worked at a Best Western property (but not in LV).

2007 at Caesars Palace. After that stay, I swore I would never stay there again, and I have kept that promise.

 

When we were kids, parents stopped in Vegas and we spent a day at Circus Circus maybe 1980. It didn’t seem so shady then...

Me and my brother, future degens, would find pocket change and sneak up to slots to spin.

2005 shortly after Wynn opened when I was 21. Went with 2 friends from work. Set the bar high for all other Vegas trips.

 

While my first visit to Las Vegas came very shortly after The Mirage opened in 1988 or '89, I didn't stay there. I think my first Strip stay was much later in 1993 or so at The Treasure Island. In those days I was very much a value visitor and it took me awhile to afford the Strip.
